your digital art is so nice! i mean this in a nice way, its very refreshing. it's got a certain feel to it that makes it feel different from your usual watercolor, sketches, or inked work, an it's like getting a new shirt that's... just the right texture. that's not to say your usual art isn't the same, the digital art just feelss like a little candy,,, as a reward.

i never see any actually dirty blond characters (its usually platinum or yellow which is kinda frustrating) and i think its fun to imagin yam with blond hair. gives the warm feelins inside

Everytime I see a gaara you've drawn it activates the specific part of my brain that is what gives dogs the zoomies. It just makes me absolutely feral with Glee. Your style just looks so good with him. So that is to say, the Gaara entry for the ask game Sparks joy.

THE PAKKUN BACKPACK!!!! I was telling my friend the other day that that's just how team 7 takes pakkun for a walk when kakashi asks them to- just "yea sure lemme just *puts him in one of those baby carriers*"

I think people using kakashi's mask to cover his "dog" features (ie. dog nose/teeth) is funny bc my kakashi is doggy even outside of the mask, mostly because he does the whole whale-eye( showing the whites of their eyes/looking at you sideways) thing dogs do when you're stressing them out. He's just a guy with a funny little mask. an absolutely silly dude.

this would be exceptionally funny with like. kishimotos artistic tendency to give dog themed characters (kakashi, inuzukas, all the ninken) eyes with a LOT of white, bc it would mean theyre all showing white constantly. infinite and eternal state of stress and fear

look at this poor guy. needs a break.

#yamswers #pupsworld #for anyone whose confused whale eye is when u can see the white of the dogs eye p clearly #humans evolved to have eyed with a lot of white so that we could better communicate what we are paying attention to (think of how obvious-#-it is when someone looks u up and down). but dogs use smell and whole body language as main communications channels whereas humans #mostly use face #as a result dog eyes have (like most animals) a small amount of white #and generally the only time we see this white is when they look to the side further than their head turns OR #when their eyes widen...#so when a dogs eyes widen because theyre highly anxious we can see the white and it's referred to as whale eye #our eyes also do this when were anxious of course-its not less noticeable its just that we are ALWAYS showing white #there's actually a lot of easy translation from dog facial expressions to human ones BUT i wont bore anyone. its a lot and this is nart blog #tho i will say. they evolved eyebrows specifically to communicate with us 💛#wolves dont have eyebrows like dogs do. cant move em independently from their eyes. thanks dogs for all ur hard work!!!#they sometimes look to the side w/o turning bc they want to watch without it being obvious their watching (dogs have long big heads so turns #are clear visual information!) so theyll watch uncomfortably from the side of their eye. thats also whale eye.#etc etc. dogs are great. love them. love to have one one day

Moku, do you have any advice for drawing different head perspectives? I'm trying to break out of my usual head-on, 3/4, and profile shots but I'm having a really hard time... - Thank you in advance

dgsdgsdg this is actually something i mostly taught myself i think, so i'm not sure how much help my advice will actually give u, since most of my process with it was just...trying over and over and not quite getting it

a lot of it is just. overlapping things—like in the drawing on the left u can see his eyebrows sit right on his eyes, and the curve of his forehead kind of slightly overlaps that of his cheekbone? if you have things slightly in front of other things, it gives a good sense of depth

then on the drawing on the right, gai's lower lip cuts off the curve of his upper lip on the far right, and his upper lip somewhat covers the base of his nose, and the bridge of his nose entirely hides his other eye from view, so u only see the curve of his brow

i wish i had a better way to explain this but...unfortunately it really is just doing it over and over and trying to figure out what works about a drawing and what isn't working.

the best advice i can give is to draw something that feels powerful and exciting to you, that way you don't loose steam or get discouraged, bc the want to see that is stronger than the fear of failure, luckilly there's a lot of very exciting expressions that can be done with different head perspectives, here are a few more
