i think quackity did want qnf to be a bigger deal to george than dnf (exhibit 27388226: making george tweet “dnf is dead. hi quackity” when he lost some challenge or whatever) but i dont think it had much to do with the friendship breakdown. i really do think quackity just wanted to cut them lose because he wanted to make more spanish content and didnt like that he was viewed as part of their “group” - like with foolish, bad and wilbur he isnt viewed as super related to them in terms of content so he’s fine keeping them around. he didnt wanna be in dtqk anymore

yeah, fully agree here. dnf was and is "the big thing" and part of their success too. obviously not that much on youtube, but fandom in general is very shipping-centric. if qnf as a romantic pairing had been a successful thing, it would've brought viewers and money.

q was never into the dtqk thing i think, all the others liked fanart of each other and used their group name but i don't remember q ever doing that
