Montagabend und Dienstag 11.6.2024

Abendprogramm Montag Abend:

Nach dem Znacht gingen wir auf einen Spielplatz in der Nähe zum geplanten Programm von Julia, Fabio, William, Liam, Elijah, Luca und Benjamin. Wir machten ein Räuber und Polli. Die Organisator:innen haben sich vieles überlegt und konnten alles nach der ersten Runde so anpassen, dass es noch besser wurde.

Bevor wir ins Bett gingen, haben wir noch alle zusammen im Gemeinschaftsraum gesungen. Um zehn Uhr, nach dem Singen, sind wir dann langsam Richtung Bett gegangen. Die einen brauchten noch einen Tee oder sonst etwas, um besser zu schlafen, doch um etwa halb eins schliefen dann auch noch die letzten ein.

Das erste Frühstück

Am Morgen mussten die Kinder, die zuständig für das Frühstück waren, schon um sieben Uhr aufstehen. Wir restlichen wurden dann um viertel nach sieben geweckt, durch Herrn Liebich. Dieser spielte uns am Morgen auf seiner Gitarre etwas vor, so dass wir gemütlich aufwachen konnten. Als Frühstück gab es Brot mit Marmelade, Butter und Schokoaufstrich. Man konnte jedoch auch Müsli essen.

Im Seilpark

Nach dem Zmorgen gingen wir auf den Bus los zum Seilpark in S-canf. Nachdem wir instruiert worden waren und Helme, Handschuhe und unser Klettergestältli anhatten, ging es los. Wir absolvierten einen kleinen Übungsparcour und danach ging es ab auf die grossen Bahnen. Diese hatten alle einen Tiernamen. Zum Beispiel Bartgeier oder Steinbock. Bei der Bahn namens Steinbock, gab es sogar einen 17 Meter-Quickjump. Viele nahmen all ihren Mut zusammen und sprangen diese 17 Meter in die Tiefe. Nach etwa drei Metern wurde man schon von einem Seil aufgefangen. Alle feuerten sich gegenseitig an. Zum Zmittag gab es über dem Feuer gebratene Würste, Vegi-Würste, Brot und Kartoffeln. Dazu Gemüse mit Dip und zum Dessert Früchte. Als alle ihr Zmittag aufgegessen hatten, ging es ab zurück nach La-Punt.

Führung durch Chamues-ch

Nach den Seilpark liefen wir zu der Bushaltestelle. Als der Bus kam, fuhren wir nach Zuoz. Dort traf gerade unser Zug ein und alle rannten los. Zum Glück schafften wir es noch ganz knapp hinein. Vor der Rundführung bekamen alle noch ein Glace. Um 15:00 Uhr trafen wir unser Führer beim Gemeindehaus. Als erstes zeigte er uns Häuser (darunter auch von berühmten Leute) und erzählte uns ihre Geschichte. Danach liefen wir zur Kirche und gingen hinein. Dort erklärte er uns Sachen von der Kirche. Später zeigte er uns Bilder von den Veränderungen, die in den nächsten Jahren geschehen sollten. Darunter auch die Vergrößerung des Flussbeckens.

Heute Abend gibt es Pizza. Die Gruppe hat selber Pizzateig und alles andere gemacht. In der Küche sieht man schon feine Kreationen. Jeder freut sich schon auf den feinen Znacht.

So... does this mean theoretically, eventually... all Soldiers turn into hooded "men" (I've seen some woman too...) at some point? Cloud has been mentioning the degradation or whatever a few times by now and he is obviously afraid of it and now Roche mentioned that there is no escaping it.

I didn't expect him of all people to understand that...

Look who changed his mind about coming along! Makes me wonder tho... what kind of history he has with Sephiroth? Did they become Friends when he locked himself up in that mansion or something and then our guy with the long Sword betrayed him or something? ^^'

Why the hell has the game to slow down the pacing NOW of all times?

Just so you know... we were on our way to the saucer, were the good stuff is going to happen, but instead we crashed and now had to make a stop at Costa Del Sol... were we have to get all the way to the Sauver by food - or Chocobo... and I still don't know how to get to the Saucer because it would take hours if we do it like that.

We CAN use the former plaine to get to the Saucer, but we have to maneuver it ourselves. GREAT.

Okay, you can fast travel to Gongaga, and THEN we walk... to were we left the car... thank we drive over the water so we are at Corel and THEN we quickjump to the Saucer... UFF!

I am confused. We were asked to fight a battle and nothing else. Why is Aerith preparing a Song and why is Cloud not asking her what she is doing? O.o

And now we are back with Zack. (Somehow Cloud seems to have access to his "other self" in his dreams it seems...)

Marlene... the secret behind her is still a mystery. But one thing is for certain, apparently, she knows something about the future.

Knowing the future is one thing... but she also knew what Aerith felt, when Cloud came for her? Now that makes even less sense than knowing what the future holds.

You know... he swallowed the "she likes Cloud" - thing without even asking more about it. I... am kind of irritated about that. Yes, it came from a child and all but still... I would wonder about that in his case.

Marlene certainly stirred something in him tho.

tried to translate some oc names into clanmew :]

lichennose -> fumchoop (moss seemed a fine substitution for lichen, given he was named for his fur texture as a kitten) bramblefoot -> bayabpwyyarr quailflight -> hrrufafa (used rock pigeon instead of quail because it fits her personality more than pigu, songbird, or the birds of prey options- also I love the word hrru haha) galepaw, galestone -> hwoopwyr, hwoobon (since he's named after the moonstone, id be curious to see if 'bon' is in the word for moonstone- if not, his name would use whatever form of stone is in moonstone) longpounce -> prrafu (this one was tricky... I believe a more direct translation of prrafu would be "quickjump" or "swiftleap" but oh well) mudthistle -> sslopnak (is there another word for dangerous/slippery mud?) cicadastorm -> kbkbkrraka (another tricky one, I went for kbkb because I felt it captures the vibe of a cicada)

I love these!! Everyone's creativity is blowing me away!

I've made a couple more vocab words for you, you can choose to change the names you've chosen or not-- the sweet thing about Clanmew is that because it's working with the idea of a translator making conscious choices in what the name will become, they can be translated in a way that's not direct but maintains the vibe, y'know?

Lichens

I have realized that I really need to translate a bunch of these, they are actually super important to an ecosystem and any culture that regularly navigates in a forest would have multiple names for these. For now though, here's three;

Beard Lichens = "Fekfik" A fluffy type of lichen that will probably fit the 'scraggly' vibe of your guy

Xanthoria parietina = Yellow Lichen = Aweewa A hardy, yellow lichen that grows very easily, sometimes called 'shore lichen' because it can set up shop anywhere. Yellow + Bloom = Aweewa.

Candelariella reflexa = Eggyolk Lichen = Ssufik This one is actually really important; this species pops up where animals are regularly laying their marks because it LOVES nitrogen. "Ssufik" is also the general word for "Marker" because of this. Mark an area regularly and eggyolk lichen will start growing there.

Etc

Coturnix coturnix = European Quail = "Wipiwik"

Cirsium vulgare = Bull Thistle = "Kessak"

Deep, dangerous mud that will not hold your weight = "Sslyywp"

Cicadetta montana = New Forest Cicada = "Rre'ef".

I went and got this one for you; I'm sure your fanclan isn't set up in England since this is the only cicada they even have there, but it's an interesting story. They used to be widespread but are now so rare that it's got researchers jumping whenever they hear a possible report. The song is pretty hard for humans to hear and a lot more subdued than other cicadas.

It's also out of range for where BB takes place and ergo Base Clanmew, but hey, figured it was interesting enough to include for you.

New Features

Google Doc Support

We know some of you think of us as the "fun friend" you hang out with on Thursday night, but whom you'd never introduce to your work colleagues.  Well, fun people get work done, too.

Now you can add Google Workplace files to (and edit them in) any Here room...oh, and the files persist in the room even after you leave.

Adding a Google Doc, Sheet, Slide or Form is easy:

Copy the URL for the file

Paste it in the "Say Something" chat; or

Click the Upload Button on the Main Toolbar and paste the URL in the Google Doc bar

Make sure your room visitors are shared on the file and you'll all be able to view and edit the doc right in the room--no need to bounce around to different tabs!

Connect Rooms with Warps

We saw so many of you using Notes to drop URL links to other rooms that we decided to make this a first class feature.  Warps are portals to other rooms—you can drop a warp in to any room of which you're a member.

To add a Warp, just:

Click on the [...] icon on the Toolbar

Choose Warp and drop in the room you want

Clicking on the Warp takes you to the other room.  Warps allow you to start building worlds!

⏳ We got Timers

Time flies when you're having fun in a Here room, but now you can add a timer (or several) to any room from the Experimental Toys function.

Bug Fixes & Improvements

You can now Duplicate any object—hover over an object, click the ... and choose Duplicate

Here doesn't work great in Safari and Firefox.  If you visit https://here.fm in either browser, we make it easier for you to download Chrome

Certain Dell All-in-one users kept getting a camera issue.  We hung around the computer section at Best Buy for a couple of days, figured out what's happening and fixed it

Cursors sometimes didn't show in large groups.  Now they do
