No matter what time of day, no matter how many years from now—it will always be for you, if you need it.”

Madilyn stares at her for a long moment, as though she’s trying to figure out what she wants to say; but Varya doesn’t want her to say anything about it, she just wants her to take it and have it. It’s the kind of gift that Varya wishes someone would have given her, all of those years ago.
