Welcome! It's a comic I've been working on for a while and I decided to finally start posting it. It is set after season 5, so spoilers for that, and there will be mild spoilers for the early season 6 going forward. More notes below!

Raccommodeuse, Part 1
Next
I started this by asking myself a question of what my version of Marinette's "Chat Blanc" episode could be? And it developed into a hundred-plus page comic that I'm having lots of fun making right now. The story is based around the choices that Marinette has made in the end of season 5, so I humbly but firmly ask everyone to be kind to her in my notes.
Thank you dear mutuals who have supported this idea and thank you so much @ninadove for helping me pick a title for it!!
It's my first time making something like that or doing any kind of storytelling but I quite like it so far and hope you will enjoy too đŸ§”
upd: posted it on ao3 :)

Van Gogh landscape sells for 7 million euros at auction
PARIS (Reuters) – An early landscape by Vincent Van Gogh, one of the art world’s most sought-after painters, sold for 7.07 million euros ($8.27 million) at an auction in Paris on Monday.
An Artcurial employee poses as he holds the painting «Raccommodeuses de filets dans les dunes, 1882» (Women Mending Nets in the Dunes) by Vincent Van Gogh during a preview for media at their auction house in Paris, France March 28, 2018. Picture taken March 28, 2018. REUTERSGonzalo Fuentes
Painted in 1882, “Fishing Net Menders in the Dunes” depicts peasant women working on the land under a cloudy sky, inspired by the countryside around The Hague, where Van Gogh passed a short but formative period.
The painting, the first Van Gogh to be auctioned in France for more than 20 years, had been valued at 3 million to 5 million euros. It was purchased by a buyer based in North America, auction house Artcurial said.
On average only two or three works by the Dutch impressionist appear on the international market each year, the auction house said.
While hardly cheap, the price comes nowhere near the record $450.3 million paid last November for “Salvator Mundi”, Leonardo da Vinci’s 15th century portrait of Christ, which is due to go on display in a new branch of the Louvre museum in Abu Dhabi.
($1 = 0.8551 euros)

Van Gogh landscape expected to fetch millions at auction
PARIS (Reuters) – A landscape painting by Dutch impressionist Vincent Van Gogh that went on display in Paris on Wednesday is expected to fetch between 3-5 million euros ($3.7-$6.1 million) when it is auctioned in June.
Artcurial’s employee poses as he holds the painting “Raccommodeuses de filets dans les dunes, 1882” (Women Mending Nets in the Dunes) by painter Vincent Van Gogh (1853-1890) during a preview for media at Artcurial Auction House in Paris, France March 28, 2018. REUTERS/Gonzalo Fuentes
The auction of the oil painting, entitled “Fishing Net Menders in the Dunes”, will be the first time Van Gogh’s work has been sold in France in more than two decades.
Painted in 1882, early in the artist’s career, it was inspired by the countryside around The Hague, where Van Gogh passed a short but formative period in terms of his artistic style.
Auctioneer Bruno Jaubert told Reuters the painting’s significance was underlined by the fact that it has spent the past 25 years hanging in some of the world’s most prestigious art museums.
“Why? Because it is a painting which marks an important period in the development of Vincent Van Gogh. It’s the start of his career. And it’s when he discovers all the possibilities of painting, and notably how to create paintings in oil,” he said.
As the only landscape painted by the Dutch artist during this period in his career, it contains many elements that would later become emblematic of Van Gogh’s work, including heavy skies and crows, motifs which would resurface in his masterpiece “Wheatfield with Crows” in 1890.
In a letter to his brother Theo, Van Gogh recounted how struck he was by the spectacle of female peasants, who feature prominently in the painting, moving round the fields, their heads covered in white cloths.
The auction will take place in Paris from June 4.

(I figured out how to upload this thing to ao3 so now it is there)
It's now clear that in the show the statue isn't in that park anymore, which is actually a relief, I'm glad they don't have to see it every day. But it's such a good imagery that I ran with it, too late to back down now!
