she's worn glasses since she was 12, but her vision is. Technically good enough that she can mostly get by without them, leading to her always putting them on top of her head and subsequently losing them

in my heart she's an investigative journalist who moved back to wayhaven after sm things went down at her old job that made her want to find out what really happened to rook and reconnect w rebecca, but then got caught up in the murder plot with UB starting book 1, but in the vein of canon, she joined the force to follow in rook's footsteps etc.

she was kind of a weird kid, always daydreaming and making up her own very in-depth games and stories in the corner- she was pretty shy! sometimes she wld write them down and that's what first got her interested in writing

the car is named Tracy and she is a LADY who is doing her best!!!! at this point tracy is a cherished friend, jokes about her being bad will Not be well received >:(

she's very much in her head all the time, smtimes her sentences sort of meander and just go off on tangents and then kind of drift off at the ends

rebecca sent her to boarding school for a while following an Event in luna's childhood that made rebecca feel like wayhaven wasn't safe for the time being, she had lots of fun but that's kind of the time when luna started to worry she'd done smth wrong and that's why rebecca didn't want her around, since she'd kind of blocked out the Incident

many nervous habits! including but not limited to: cleaning her glasses, braiding small strands of her hair, jostling her leg, cracking her knuckles

she is actually v smart! in a book sense at least :0 she's clever and good at solving puzzles, and she remembers a lot of rlly obscure info abt lots of things- look into her eyes and you can basically hear the mii music playing, but she is intelligent!

she loves animals :') walking anywhere with her takes Ages bc she wants to stop and look at birds and if there's a worm on the sidewalk everything comes to a Halt while a rescue operation is performed

rocks!!!!! she's a huge geology nerd and she Loves them sm, fun crystals and pebbles alike :) she collects them all and if you picked one up and asked her abt it she wld know exactly when and where she got it

she hates seasonal music!!!! halloween songs and Especially christmas songs!! she cant explain why but it drives her up. the. wall. during the last few months of the year she's like that gif from community of the woman hitting the guy with a candy cane like "its December 10th!!!" its the one thing about the holidays she doesn't like

lots of her favorite books are from the golden age of detective fiction! she also reads a lot of poetry and history books, and loves nonfiction :D she's a sucker for any book with really in depth worldbuilding and/or a map on the front inside cover- she DID read the entire silmarillion AND enjoy it! she loves animated and stop-motion movies, laika is her Favorite studio and she owns every studio ghibli movie

she loves any food or drink where the main ingredient is sugar <3 catch her eating lucky charms dry straight from the box! she'll only drink coffee if it has like. vanilla or sm other sweet flavoring added to it along with 12 packs of sugar

her sleep schedule.... oh no! she had insomnia even before murphy, and now with the nightmares, it's even worse :( it's ok though! she uses the nighttime to work on art or baking or writing etc.

she listens to lots of indie/folk music- the oh hellos are one of her favorite bands! also she's a big fan of fun pop music- carly rae jepsen, bleachers, hayley kiyoko, HAIM, etc. also smdfnsj she Does listen to lofi music

she's loved chess since she was a kid and often plays against herself or another opponent- she also usually has a puzzle she's working on, and really likes crossword puzzles/sudoku games!

background noise is a Friend <3 it rlly helps her focus!

she loves her potted plants a lot! she has very detailed instructions on how to take care of them and she does talk/sing to them to help them grow

her house Looks minimalist? she values the aesthetic but she cannot commit- open any drawer in her house and you'll find like 7000 receipts she hasn't thrown out yet

she is Sweet but! untapped Rage is there... she has a tendency to bottle things up until one tiny thing makes her Go Off with all the stress and anger she's been holding back :( she Will cry and yell and then be completely horrified and spend the next 3-4 weeks apologizing profusely

she feels bad about. Everything :( she blames herself a lot,, it's easier to tell herself that things are going wrong bc it's her Fault and she did smth wrong rather than accept that it's out of her control

on that subject things with rebecca are Awkward!! they kind of drifted apart and luna feels like she shld have tried harder to keep in touch

her primary love language... probably words of affirmation or physical affection! she's very open w her affections and telling/showing people she loves them (to the extent they're comfortable with it! she prefers to let whoever she's with dictate the pace of the relationship)

if you see her Sleeping on the floor.... just leave her be,, she's sleepy

she is. weirdly lucky at small things and games of chance? catch her being dealt a full house right out of the gate during card games or finding quarters on the street all the time! she wins carnival games like nobody's business <3

absently she knows all the Lucky things to wish on! shooting stars, ladybugs, eyelashes, pennies, 11:11, etc :)

she dresses like. a very specific kind of influencer lowkey, w the oversized t-shirts and jeans ksdfm, the Sweaters/coats, etc.

hot weather does Not spark joy- she owns like 700 fans and loves getting to wear all her cute winter clothes :)

she's not allowed to watch cooking/baking shows unsupervised anymore, following the Incident where she watched one and then spent the entire night building a Giant gingerbread mansion spreading across the floor of her apartment

she deflects. a Lot! not even intentionally really but it just Happens :/ she's naturally a pretty open person but smtimes she just naturally is Not Talking abt it and tries to play things off, especially personal things abt her feelings/reactions to things <3

she is Nervous,, her base level of stress is. kind of up there! surprises Do Not work bc she will just Shriek and drop what she's holding sndfsjn.... it was like that even before murphy but. you know. it's more pronounced now :/

in her heart she is like. a human golden retriever! she's excited!! she wants to be friends!! she's roaming around,, take her for a walk and maybe she will find a cool stick to carry!!

she walks with a little bit of a skip in her step! on her toes a bit so nobody can tell she is Short... (it doesnt work)

You opened the cupboard and smiled at the see that there was a closed box of your boyfriend's favorite cookies, you took it, opened it and started eating them, and it was going to be an act of revenge that you were ultimately planning on enjoying.

You turned on the TV and eating the cookies, you knew that Brock would soon arrive at the house, but you would try to run them out before he came back, even though you didn't care if he caught you, so he'd understand he shouldn't mess with your stuff.

He went out with his friends, who you didn't seem to like, it wasn't something you cared about, he loved you and you knew it, so everything was fine. Yes, you knew what they were saying about you, everyone seemed like a very weird couple because you were completely the opposite; he is serious, cold and calculating, you are always smiling and affectionate, you radiated an air of innocence, you were always in a good mood, on the contrary, he always seemed to be badass, but what no one knew was that you knew each other so well, that you knew the weaknesses of the other, what liked and other things.

You couldn't say for sure how it had happened, but somehow you fell in love with each other, so you didn't care what they said about you.

To avoid any kind of trouble he went out with his friends when he wanted and you with yours, you trusted each other so there was no problem.

You put your favorite horror movie and opened another one of the packs that brought the box, one by one, savoring every bite, a part of you blat fully wanted Brock to come in at that moment and see you, another not so much, rather you thought you were outdoing yourself.

By the time the movie was over, there were no more cookies in the box, you got up and took the trash out of the house to take it to the dumpster, so there was no longer any evidence that instilled in you, but you were planning something better as revenge.

You lay down on the couch to watch the next movie, but you fell asleep, so you didn't notice or hear when Brock arrived, when he saw you there he took you to bed and tucked you in.

The next morning when you woke up you thought you'd continue your revenge, you started preparing breakfast, and Brock came down and opened the cupboard looking for something

"Baby girl, what about my cookies?" he asked.

"I don't know, it should be in the cupboard," you replied.

You didn't take your eyes off what you were cooking while you were trying to contain your laughter, you didn't want to give yourself away, and you were glad to see him ‘suffer.’

"Y/N" Brock called you.

"Brock."

"Where are my cookies?" he asked again.

"I told you, they must be in the cupboard, if you probably ate them and you're so old so you don't remember what you do," you made fun of him.

"You ate them, didn't you?" he questioned.

He went to where you were, turned off the stove, and took you off your shoulders to turn around and keep you in front of him.

"You ate all my favorite chocolates," you complained.

"I apologized and bought you another one," he replied.

"And? That wasn't enough, I had to get even," you counterattacked.

"Seriously, you hid them, didn't you?" he inquired.

You weren't cruel or vindictive with him, so I thought you were joking and hid them somewhere in the house.

"No, I didn't lie to you, I ate them, all the ones in the box, one by one, they tasted delicious," you replied with malice.

You were enjoying what was going on.

"Why did you eat them? I replenished your chocolates, we were okay," he complained.

"No, we weren't, you just replenished it because I complained, not on your initiative or because you regretted it," you clarified.

"I can't believe it, Y/N.”

“What’s yours is mine and what’s mine is also mine”

You smiled, he knew, you didn't even care if you were behaving childishly anymore.

“Petty” muttered between grumpy teeth.

“Damn right I’m pretty,” you said by spanking your ass yourself and smiling.

“I said petty,” he said again.

He walked away from you and kept looking in the cupboard, he was still hoping that you were joking, after a few seconds he lost it. He was so focused he didn't even notice when you approached him.

"But you love me,” you murmured in his ear.

You squeezed one of his biceps and with your other arm you hugged his back, he knew what you were going to try to do, but he wasn't going to let himself be convinced so easily, now it was his time to get revenge.

"Y/N's not going to work for you," he said firmly in an annoying voice.

"When I go to the supermarket I replenish them, I promise you," you answered in a childish voice

You started stroking his arm and kissing her neck.

"I hope this doesn't affect me that you promised me to adopt a puppy," you whispered.

"Y/N..."

He walked away to stay in front of you.

"You promised me" you reminded him of trying to give little jumps to kiss his beard; he was taller than you.

“Yes, if anything, you'll have your puppy, because I promised you, but you're not going to disgruntled me so easily,” he alleged.

You thwarted your lips that seemed more of a challenge.

"You know I love you very much, don't you?" you said as a finger you stroked the muscles of your pecs above the shirt.

He let go of a growl, he was pretending to play hardball, but he had always found it impossible to resist you.

"And I love you because you are very strong and sexy in all S.H.I.E.L.D.,” you continue.

You kissed his arm and carried on to the neck, while with one hand you kept stroking his chest and the other was coming down.

"Forgive me, babe, I didn't think you'd get so angry, I just wanted you to feel the same way I felt," you explained without stopping your actions.

He was already reaching the limit of his attempt to resist, if you continued he could not contain himself.

"To hell, you need punishment," he bluffed.

"As you wish, Commander,” you said, laughing.

He lifted you on his shoulder to take you to the bedroom, breakfast could wait another bit, now I had to teach you a lesson.

5 Brilliant Moments of Music Supervision in the Last Year Deserving of an Emmy

Monday, Sept. 17 marks the 70th annual Primetime Emmy Awards, a celebration for some of the best the world of television has to offer. And for us music lovers here, and fans of the innovation of the fusion of moving picture of sound, the music that goes into making some of our favorite TV series is arguably one of the best parts of the entire experience. While this year’s award for “Outstanding Music Supervision” may have gone to The Marvelous Ms. Maisel–certain categories are announced ahead of the actual ceremony, don’t ask us why–there were a number series with superb music supervision. This is our shortlist of the musical moments of the last year that stuck with us long after the end credits cut to commercial or Netflix asked us if we're still watching.

Atlanta Season 2

By this point, it’s no secret that Atlanta has some of the best music supervision in recent memory. The brainchild of Donald Glover, Childish Gambino, Atlanta’s music serves as a love letter to the culture that helped shape it. Paying ode to rap’s current landscape alongside some indie hits in the making all while never neglecting the classic, every episode of Atlanta is rife with musical discoveries to be made. Season 2 of the hit show kept the tradition running before the first episode even aired. Promoting the track with trailers that featured Yellow Days’ “Gap In The Clouds” and Sonder’s “Too Fast,” an excitement about the music of Atlanta’s yet-to-be-released season was ignited immediately. A fire they stoked throughout the season’s 11-episode run thanks to music from Nina Simone, 6LACK, Vince Staples, Troye Sivan, Stevie Wonder and so, so much more.

Stranger Things Season 2

Released at the end of 2017, season 2 of Strangers Things just barely qualifies for this list. Yet, its celebration of all things ‘80s makes it qualify for this list a hundred time over. Building on the love affair with nostalgic synth-laden ‘80s music that the original season brought about, the second season of Stranger Things has all the easily recognizable classics. From Devo’s “Whip It,” The Police’s “Every Breath You Take,” to even the Ghostbusters theme song, the gang is all here. However, the true beauty behind the ‘80s-fueled soundtrack of Stranger Things is its sense of authenticity and attention to detail. Making sure to only feature music that had been released by the exact timeframe of the time frame, the backing soundtrack goes from hackneyed nostalgia to devoted recreation. Plus, it fits amazingly well with the atmospheric and haunting works of Kyle Dixon and Michael Stein of S U R V I V E.

The End of the Fucking World

Based on the comic by Charles Forsman, The End of the Fucking World is a British dark comedy that follows a psychopath and a rebellious classmate going on a road trip across England and provided one of the best soundtracks of the year. Beyond the show’s leading cast, the star of the show is musical juxtaposition and storytelling. Director Jonathan Entwistle had spent years prior to the show’s fruition collecting songs that he envisioned would match the tone of the world he was bound to create. Those years of collection resulted in over 700 songs, which would be whittled down to a selection of ’50s, ’60s, and ‘70s doo-wop and pop. Teenage drama and turbulence abound alongside a musical time period that defined the notion of suburban teenagers. Add all of that to a score orchestrated by legendary Blur founding member Graham Coxon, and you have a modern class on your hands.

Insecure Season 3

The music supervision of HBO’s critically-acclaimed Insecure is arguably some of the best and most important of this past decade. Focusing primarily on debuting new artists and songs, as well as highlighting artist of color, Insecure host some of the most cutting-edge acts of the present day. A joint venture between creator Issa Rae and music supervisor Kier Lehman, the show has hosted the musical talents of everyone from SZA, Rico Nasty, to Jorja Smith. As a matter of fact, the first season of Insecure was such an impeccable collection of songs that It was released on RCA. Season 3, which is currently in the midst of airing, may only be five episodes in but in that short manner of time, Insecure has brought a host of new R&B and hip-hop viewers the world over. With Tierra Whack, Childish Major, Saweetie, Buddy, The Internet, Ravyn Lenane, Mahalia, Omar Apollo, and plenty more lending their talents, season 3 of Insecure may just have some of the best music yet.

Legion Season 2

Legion is not only of the most cinematically adventurous shows currently airing but it is also one the most musically adventurous. A psychedelic trip of a love story that features a possibly-mutant, possibly-schizophrenic lead, Legion has been lauded by critics and fans alike for its fantastical approach to visual and sonic storytelling. And a large part of that success has been thanks to Marguerite Phillips’ phenomenal music supervision. Phillips, who has worked on Moonlight, Fargo, and The Handmaid’s tale, provides the perfect backing soundtrack for a show that gives no direct musical cues. Without a set time period and merely a dominant ‘70s-aesthetic to go off, Legion offers everything from The Rolling Stones, Bon Iver, The Kinks, to Nicolaas Jar. It’s a soundtrack that, much like the show, gives off the feeling of existing outside of a singular moment or genre.

Abriste la alacena y sonreíste al ver que había una caja cerrada de las galletas favoritas de tu novio, la tomaste, abriste y comenzaste a comerlas, iba a ser una venganza que en definitiva planeabas disfrutar.

Prendiste la televisión y continuaste comiendo las galletas, sabías que Brock no tardaría en llegar a la casa sin embargo tratarías de acabártelas antes de que él regresara, aunque no te importaba si te atrapaba, así entendería que no debía meterse con tus cosas.

Él había salido con sus amigos, a quienes no parecías agradarles, no era algo que realmente te importaba, él te amaba y lo sabías, entonces todo estaba bien. Si, sabías lo que decían de ustedes, a todo el mundo le parecían una pareja muy rara, porque eran completamente lo contrario; él serio, frío y calculador, tú sonriente y cariñosa, irradiabas un aire de inocencia, siempre estabas de buen humor, al contrario él siempre parecía estar de malas, pero lo que nadie sabía era que se conocían tan bien, que sabían las debilidades del otro, lo que le gustaba y demás cosas.

No podías decir a ciencia cierta cómo había pasado pero de alguna forma se habían enamorado del otro, así que no les importaba realmente lo que dijeran de ustedes.

Para evitar cualquier tipo de problemas él salía con sus amigos cuando quería y tú con los tuyos, confiaban en el otro así que no había ningún problema.

Pusiste tu película de terror favorita y abriste otro de los paquetes que traía la caja, una por una, saboreando cada pedazo que mordías, una parte de ti deseaba descaradamente que Brock llegara en ese momento y te viera, otra no tanto, más bien creía que te estabas sobrepasando.

Para cuando la película terminó ya no había más galletas en la caja, te levantaste y sacaste la basura de la casa para llevarla al contenedor, así que ya no había ninguna prueba que te inculpara, pero estabas planeando algo mejor como venganza.

Te acostaste en el sofá para ver la siguiente película, pero el sueño te ganó, así que no te diste cuenta ni escuchaste cuando Brock llegó, al verte ahí te cargó para llevarte a la cama y te arropó.

A la mañana siguiente al despertarte pensabas continuar con tu venganza, comenzaste a preparar el desayuno, Brock bajó y abrió la alacena buscando algo.

—Cariño, ¿y mis galletas? —te preguntó.

—No sé, deberían estar en la alacena —le respondiste.

No quitaste la vista de lo que cocinaba mientras tratabas de contener la risa, no querías delatarte, de hecho te estaba agradando verlo “sufrir”.

—T/N —te llamó Brock.

—Brock.

— ¿Dónde están mis galletas? —volvió a preguntas.

—Ya te dije, deben estar en la alacena, sino probablemente te las comiste y eres tan viejo que ya no lo recuerdas —te burlaste.

—Te las comiste, ¿verdad? —dijo.

Fue hasta donde estaba, apagó la estufa y te tomó de los hombros para voltearte y que quedaras de frente a él.

—Tú te comiste todos mis chocolates favoritos que tenía en la caja —te quejaste.

—Me disculpé y te compré otra —respondió.

— ¿Y? Eso no fue suficiente, tenía que vengarme —contraatacaste.

— ¿En serio?, las escondiste, ¿verdad? —preguntó.

Tú no eras cruel ni vengativa con él, así que pensaba que estabas bromeando y las habías escondido en alguna parte de la casa.

—No, no te miento, me las comí, todas las que había en la caja, una por una, sabían delicioso —respondiste con malicia.

Realmente estabas disfrutando lo que estaba pasando.

— ¿Por qué te las comiste? Te repuse los chocolates, estábamos a mano —se quejó.

—No, no lo estábamos, solo las repusiste porque te reclamé, no por iniciativa propia o porque te arrepintieras realmente —aclaraste.

—No lo puedo creer, T/N.

—Lo que es tuyo es mío y lo que es mío también es mío

Sonreíste, él lo sabía, ya ni siquiera te importaba si te estabas comportando de una forma infantil.

—Niñita —murmuró entre dientes malhumorado.

—Tienes toda la razón, soy bonita —dijiste dándote una nalgada en el trasero tú misma y sonriendo.

—Dije niñita—repitió él.

Se alejó de ti y siguió buscando en la alacena, tenía la esperanza aún de que estuvieras bromeando, después de unos segundos la perdió. Estaba tan concentrado que ni siquiera se dio cuenta cuando te acercaste a él.

—Pero así me amas —le murmuraste al oído.

Le apretaste uno de sus bíceps y con tu otro brazo lo abrazaste por la espalda, él sabía lo que ibas a intentar hacer, pero no se iba a dejar convencer tan fácilmente, ahora era su tiempo de vengarse.

—No te va a funcionar T/N —dijo firmemente con voz molesta.

—Cuando vaya al supermercado las repongo, te lo prometo —respondiste con voz infantil

Comenzaste a acariciar su brazo y darle besos en el cuello.

—Espero que esto no afecte que me prometiste un cachorro —susurraste.
