you know, previously I’ve always gone Huana ending for Deadfire because they’re the natives of the archipelago and deserve to serve up a heaping helping of “get the fuck off my island”

and I’ll definitely still go Huana for Raina, there’s no other ending that makes sense for her (not the least of which because of her relationship with Tekehu)

but I really dig the Principi ending for Kai. Kiki deserves to be a Pirate Queen

here we go, folks! new Watcher time!

Raina is a sweet, kind, and genuinely charming woman who came to Dyrwood because she got kicked out of her home country for inciting rebellion. As one does.

She’s probably a fighter? Or a rogue. Maybe a chanter. Haven’t decided yet. If she were a dnd character, she’d be a bard, high-CHA low-WIS, the kind that keeps giving rousing speeches accidentally because she’s good at talking and people listen to her when she does. I don’t know how much bard actually translates to chanter though.

I’ll tell you what she is not: she’s not a wizard, a priest, or a druid. No more caster classes for me, no ma’am, too much resting involved. I love Kiki, but having a 2-wizard party is not gonna happen a second time, I can’t do it.

She’s proudly Raedceran, but smart enough to keep quiet about that in Dyrwood. Mostly. The accent’s close enough that most people can’t really tell anyway, they just assume she’s local.

She’s gonna smooch a handsome fish. And a pretty priestess. Possibly at the same time mmmm Baileyham sandwich :3

it’s gonna be a couple weeks at least before I get to start her trip through Pillars 1, I want to finish Kingmaker and also Wayhaven Book 2 is coming out soon, so I’m concentrating on those right now, but! I’m probably gonna talk about her a lot in the meantime while I flesh her out. I already love her a whole lot, she’s gonna be a lot of fun, I can tell feel free to ask questions or send prompts <3
