Something that will always make me so soft is how basically at the start of every single kissing scene between Phayu and Rain (aside from the very first one), Boss leans in so slowly and goes straight for Eul's top lip. Every. Single. Time. It's so sweet (and the proposal kiss continued the trend!)

I currently have a slightly unhealthy obsession with Rain and Payu from Love in the Air...

Specifically for Jealous Payu.

I LOVE that they didn't make him unreasonably jealous over Rain's friends, but instead legitimately jealous over Rain's former crush Ple...

And that final scene where jealous Payu establishes his claim on Rain and basically glares the entire time at poor Ple because he only really knows her as his boyfriend's former crush was absolute perfection.

I mean, I totally get Rain's jealousy on occasion... kind of... but he also has been explicitly told already that people may crush on Payu, but that his boyfriend's particular tastes have sent them all running... except for Rain. He is literally Payu's glass slipper if you will. And to a certain extent, I think he knows that, which is why when Rain mistakenly thought Payu kissed somebody else, he was irritated-level mad, not devastated, we are going to break up-level mad.

From the dynamics we saw in the show, I think Payu is actually more insecure about the status of their relationship than Rain (not overly so or anything, their relationship is very healthy overall, but comparatively speaking) because he knows his own "faults" intimately while simultaneously recognizing how special Rain is. Far more-so than Rain does himself... and I think that's why I enjoy the little glimpses we get of Jealous Payu. Because he was and IS the most sought-after "god" of the architecture department, and here he is, lowkey worried about other people stealing his boyfriend (like they even stand a chance). And he undoubtedly ALSO knows he's being ridiculous, but he can't help it.

And Rain is over here. completely oblivious to all of it... lol

Ok so back on the LITA Special ep because I'm obsessed. Can we talk about how Payu was concerned and wanted to reassure Rain when he found out why he ran off instead of being angry? Like this is his expression when Rain blurted out the reason he was mad:

And then he hugs and kisses Rain:

I just love everything about this because Payu gets Rain and understands that what he needs is reassurance when most people would have been angry about the jumping to conclusions/running away.

I'm super glad that Payu is demanding that Rain use "Pom", call him "P'Payu", and use "khrap", instead of only telling him to not curse, the way Tin did with Can. Because every time Rain uses "Pom", "khrap", and "P'Payu", it's an open act of submission, one which is easier to follow for me than lack of curse words. It might be my favorite thing about this show so far, tbh.
