cultivating an interest in and appreciation for bugs has been such a fun and easy way for me to find more excitement and joy in my day to day life. I saw a rice weevil (or possibly maize weevil?), some wasps, and a squash bug on my walk home the other day and it was a delightful pick-me-up

this year was very long, and in a lot of ways very difficult, and even though i've made it a lot more difficult for myself in many ways by moving i'm actually feeling so, so much better mentally and emotionally it's like. deeply, deeply comforting and affirming. somehow.
