A fucked up fact is that Serge Drurandal became someone he loved.

After the real Randy March dies by petrification and Serge leaves the academy, he wants to keep the memory of Randy by becoming him. In the sequel, Serge reveals that Randy likes cute things and sweets, and Serge has been surrounding himself with things that Randy liked and even tried to act like him, but his real personality would end up cracking from time to time.

And Klaus hated him even more for that. Their friend died because of Serge's recklessness with magic, and now Serge has taken on his identity and looking for a way to revive him.

Since MC mirrored Randy so much, I expected that Serge and Klaus would be fighting their inner turmoil.

Sadly, we don't get that.

Yes, someone made a post about it already, I'm just pointing out that he could've made a whole new identity. Instead, he became Randy, someone he loved.
