Curlkit | Curlpaw | Curlear

Curlear is a playful, motherly molly. Being completely deaf, she isn't the greatest hunter or fighter, but over her life she's established herself as one of the Clan's best tunnelers, quick footed and incredibly observant of the world under her paws.  Although she can speak to an extent, she much prefers sticking to Root Clan's version of cat sign language.

She had a very difficult time as a queen, losing two small litters before having her son, Phloxnose. As a result, she’s deeply and fiercely protective of him, even after her son gained his warrior name. A note: Curlear was one of the first digital pieces I made, and I was super happy with how her og protrait turned out, so I just ended up adding onto it lol. Also, feat Curlear's apprentice, Goldenpaw and his best friend, Icepaw!

Thicketkit | Thicketpaw | Thicketfang

Preceded by Blackpaw (deceased)

A mean, nasty lady with poor bedside manner, Thicketfang is super well known around the Clans, but not necessarily for... the greatest of reasons. She's grumpy and hotheaded and very very loud. She's yet to take on an apprentice, because to quote her: 'None of them are worth the time training would take.'

She and Dapplestar are prone to just screeching at through the camp tunnels, and their clanmates are very used to letting their fights go through one ear and out the other and just working around them. Usually, Sandnose will let everyone know if it’s actually important.  She and her mentor Harenose had a similarly rocky relationship and always seemed a wrong word away from straight up murdering each other. It made overnight stays at the medicine den incredibly uncomfortable.

Her first word was probably fuck.

Also feat. a couple of Root Clan apprentices who made a mess of her herb storage, and are lucky they still have their pelts.
