evelyn weber , born to emotionally abusive parents inside in the inner walls — she fled to the underground. she was found years later by @decimatlas’ levi ackerman after erwin sent him to recruit her.

she eventually works her way up to his squad — & his heart but we’ll get to that later.

“i —,” is what comes out at first, but when he says that. when he says don’t lie to me, she’s acutely aware she can’t. not for much longer. her head is screaming, her legs are going to give out from underneath her.

she didn’t think she was that close when the bastard started oozing steam. but now, she couldn’t cool down. evie felt on fire. in fact, she's honestly never felt this pain before. but she need to see something. she needs to lay eyes on the rest of her friends. the rest of team levi.

evie would like the luxury of lying, but as she takes a limp forward… honesty is written on her face. she's literally shaking with pain, her eyes blurry with the heat of it al. “i --- it hurts, but i need to see.” she’s not leaning forward. so why does it look like he’s getting closer?

but then, she sees them. she sees at least some of team levi. good news. good news ---

just as she thinks that, her feet collapse from exhaustion.
