Ever read a series of translations by someone and… start to question their translation choices?
#really annoyed with how this translator trigger warns for everything except noncon#between the canon couples in the text#but then there are other places where I’m like#idk if this is the translator or the author because the translator leaves NO NOTES#if you’re gonna be gratuitously using a slur in translation#i would like at least an acknowledgment of the word choice and an explanation on whether it is in the original text#like a one-to-one translation#or if it is a personal choice on the part of the translator#I’d also like a trigger warning for that too like damn!#worst part is these are all works by one author done by one translator#so idk what is author and what is translator choice#and can’t read the original so—
