It was probably an excuse to wear scantily clad outfit and have his feathers out as part of the costume. No one could tell at pride, and he'd had such a fun time. Another day leading into another night which wasn’t new. The bar and restaurant he was heading to that was nearby his latest clients home was. Never been there before but it looked interesting and lively anyway. 

Wandering in and asking to be seated at the bar, looking over the menu handed to him before noticing a woman who worked behind the counter. She had an eyepatch which was different for one working in a place like this. 

Who was he to judge and though he was curious, it could have been anything really. Waving to get her attention and get down his order, maybe he should have just stuck with the bar he regularly goes to. 

“I’ve been ready ten minutes ago.. It shouldn’t take this long.”

Edward had no idea he would be running into Natasha suddenly while out and about for the first time in months. Well, not so much as run into as in, quite literally walking into her while looking down at his watch wondering if his brother was home yet. From the writer’s meet and greet thing he went to on the west side of town.

“Natasha? Bloody ‘ell what are you doing here?” He asked after recovering from the stumble to get a good look at her.

IN KAREN’S own line of work, there were a variety of things that she had come to take for granted. Being stationed in an entire mountain valley had its benefits, after all; cleaner air and fresh water often led to higher spirits, even despite all the bugs and rocky terrain...

...though out of those, she never really considered that being able to see the stars so clearly in the night sky would be so precious a privilege.

Just along a short trail-walk from the then-quiet public campgrounds, a magnificent view would have stretched out before anyone who had the patience to slow down and have a look for themselves. To the side of that path was an open clearing that preceded a dense forest, lined by the sides of the mountains– a prime place by which the vast night sky could be seen, constellations sparkling with earnest light amidst the void.

The only walkable area between the trail and the trees was a rather stable wooden bridge about two persons wide, whose planks creaked with every step, though with no other signs of strain; a welcome comfort to anyone who wanted to enjoy the passing twilight hours.

It was only ten-forty in the evening, when the two had decided to visit this place. As their eyes, trained to cybernetics and scopes each, adjusted to the growing presence of the stars, Karen finally decided to break the silence again with some conversation.

A light glance from her at the fellow RED followed. Quiet whirs from her synthetic arms fell in symphony with the crickets, as she brushed a lock of hair aside to get a better view at both her new acquaintance, and the cosmos.

The Big Dipper was already clear enough, and the clusters of gentle radiance adorning Orion’s Belt were still fading into view...

“Hibana told me about you, in our conversations. Once, or twice, I’d say.” Her voice was but a whisper, but it held a fondness that she knew would not be enough to break the moment’s serenity. “—but they were enough to get the picture. You’re... just as composed and collected as he says. A crack shot, too, I’ve heard– I’ve taken up the same rifle-toting class myself.

"...That being said, I do wonder what brought you here. From what I’d wager, you'd be tired enough from your travels... but fret not. You’ll see more kind people here than myself, and more clean water than the pumps could give,” she chuckled, meeting her own dry tone with a canteen-held swig of the stuff.

I notice you vocabulary is definitely much better and obviously someone who reads more literature more than I do (looks at my Science™ books) they don't teach me grammars.
