After meeting Eivor and getting her blend of herbs, the seeress had convinced Adonis and Thrain to stay the night under the excuses of missing her oldest child and to monitor Adonis to see if she needed to change the herb blend and dosage.

Well early in the morning, Adonis is awoken to a commotion from the kitchen. Rushing towards it he sees Capitano having being pushed away from the dining table by a lady his height with long black hair, a blonde lady with long blonde hair stained purple at the ends hanging from the Captain’s shoulders, and a red haired lady sneakily reaching for a piece of bread on a plate in the center of the table. “Skuld’s trying the snatch the pulla!” The blonde yells and the black haired woman immediately smacks the redhead’s hand.

“Back off, Skuld, you got it last time!” Thrain says, grunting slightly as the blonde hanging off his shoulders pulls herself up onto his back.

Kassandra had taken up residence in the old hunting lodge outside of Ravensthorpe. It kept her close enough to others that she didn't feel the same pangs of loneliness she usually did but far enough away that she didn't have to worry about her privacy being breached. It was an ideal situation. This morning, however, she found herself in the village, talking to Gunnar about upgrading some of her weapons. Kassandra had helped out around Ravensthorpe where she could, earning some coin.

Eivor had mentioned that a new batch of mead was being brought to the longhouse today, so Kassandra made her way there after depositing her weapons with Gunnar. But she was not inside for long when she heard the voice of a certain redhead ring out. Randvi, the woman she had initially been mistaken for.

She turns, horn in hand but the mead she came here for is momentarily forgotten. The question catches her off guard. "I suppose, in some ways. It's why I'm staying here for a while." Does she really wear her loneliness on her sleeve?

Listen. Yes I am furious they abandoned Eivor as the central protagonist after year 1 to focus on male side characters. Yes, DoR was essentially a meaningless DLC because TLC did nothing to connect Eivor's ending to her son or the entire Isu narrative told within it. Yes, Ubisoft chipped away at my love for year 2 content because they didn't make the Havi narrative relevant to Eivor AT ALL in the end.

That said, playing as Eivor in Dawn of Ragnarok is a blast. It IS a great DLC. It does, actually, connect to Eivor in base game a billion times better than TLC thay was done by the original narrative director. To see what Eivor could he like if she embraced her worst tendencies in the framing of Havi and Norse Mythology was awesome....the amount of Norse Mythology within this DLC was pure joy.

I will forever defend this DLC because I loved it. Cecilie did a great job VAing it. And, had they not blown its potential by Darby telling us every single DLC was completely left out as a factor in the last chapter, this could have been great. They blew it in the end. But this scene alone, LOL, Havi was wild and Eivor really turned out different....except her passion for redheads.....

You will not mind if I stay awhile, dip my toes in one of these soothing fire baths…

as radiant as the sun, the redhead beams when he sees eivor enter the winery. he descends the staircase, gathering the viking into his arms as he lays a kiss upon their brow.

"my love," he greets, "it's lovely to see you."

Kassandra and Eivor had been out on a small task to strengthen the allyship between Ravensthorpe and Gratenbridgescire, and while it hadn't been a long journey, it had taken about a week to finish. Kassandra hadn't experienced physical exhaustion, but she had grown to miss the settlement and a certain redhead.

After finding she wasn't at the longhouse, the Keeper had an inclination as to where she might be. It was a spot she liked to frequent, and Kassandra couldn't blame her, the area was beautiful and a little more secluded than some other popular places to bathe. Besides, Randvi hadn't been so subtle in her attempts to hide away from others. At the very least not someone like her.

And just as Randvi didn't bother to cover her tracks, Kassandra didn't bother to hide that she was approaching, footfalls appropriately heavy for her taller frame. A smile crossed her face as she saw the redhead sitting in her clean robes. Oh, how she missed her so, as she came to sit beside her on the rock.

"One of the best, I'd say," she said in a playful tone, golden eyes cast upon her. "You really didn't."

Today was a day where time in nature was needed. She had just had enough of the Hall and of writing and of people approaching her to have official messages recorded down for Eivor and Sigurd when they return. She needed time just alone to feel whatever feeling this was in peace.

So she had taken her bathing things and gone to the river far upstream from the town, where there were some good rocks to perch on and plenty of birdsong and lush greenery to admire within the woods. Randvi had bathed and now sat with damp hair and clean robes on one of the rocks, eyes closed just trying to focus only on nature and not on her own claustrophobic frustration.

Hearing footsteps approaching, she tried to ignore it and hope that whoever it was would respect that she had been bathing and leave her alone. The fact that they didn't brought her momentary frustration before she peaked out of one eye and saw Kassandra approaching. She and, assumedly, Eivor had returned.

"You certainly make a good tracker." She murmurs quietly, letting Kassandra approach. One of two people who could be with her now. "Though I suppose I didn't cover my tracks."
