Sorry for the quality of this screenshot, but here you can see that Lune does not have a ring.

Does that mean that Verso is married to someone else, someone we don't know? Could Maelle bring Julie back for him, or is this a completely new person he lives with? We are not being shown his spouse, and Verso himself looks quite depressed (even though he's married, and it's supposed to be an act of love).

Could that mean that Verso’s spouse is just some Blank Face given to him to imitate "happily after"?

Can dark!Maelle watch him through that person's eyes?

A good premise for a horror piece.

I noticed in a comment of a YouTube video that someone said Verso is wearing a wedding ring in the "A Life to Paint" epilogue.

And it's kind of hard to see (this finger is only in frame for, like, a split second and even then, his hair is kind of in the way), but it does look like he's wearing a ring:

Do we think Verso might have married Lune? Since Sciel is back with Pierre, of course?

There's no denying that Verso is completely miserable in this ending... but even then, maybe he's still found the tiniest bit of light. And thus the Chiaroscuro/Clair Obscur continues, as we see in both endings (perhaps even somewhat with Verso here).

Because what I see is a humanoid character with arms and legs, with five fingers, with pecks and humanoid ass.

It's totally fine if you're not into ships where one character is humanoid but not a human. But insisting it's a Dead Dove content is simply delusional. I don't care what you discuss in your dms or private discord channels. Just, please, don’t bring this insanity in public tags.

Following your logic, people named after seasons are made out of them, people named after flowers/fruits/etc can automatically be counted as local flora. Hells, if you are named after your relative, public figure or a character, drop everything you do and go cosplay that person until the end of your days!

And such takes always come from the part of the fandom that does not contribute to it with anything but shitting on other people. Not with art, not with edits, not with fanfiction. Only with hate speech.

It's kind of sad to think that fully sentient, often wise being is downgraded to "someone's dog" because of one mentioning. But, I guess, that's what fandom experience is at the end of the day.

Can't stop thinking how in my AU where both og Verso and the painted people are alive, he creates a 'mailbox' straight to the Canvas to exchange lovey-dovey letters with Gustave when he's away in a real world. He also sends and receives letters from other canvas guys too.

Also, inventing first painted Skype to be able to see each other more often.

The prospect of experimenting with relationships between real and canvas Verso is really thrilling. All the angst I can cook up~

It's interesting how it seems nobody in Dessendre's family is being taught how to express their feelings in a healthy way. Aline, who is suffocating everything around her with total control, and her love feels like something maniacal and narcissistic. Renoir, who's not allowed to grieve the death of his son because suddenly everyone decides to go mad in his household, and he, as a rational man and supposed head of the family, desperately needs to regain control over the situation and fix everything. Clea, an edgy teenager with a lot of pressure and expectations put on her, growing into a hardened, cold woman that calls her parents by their names, mocks their feelings, and masks her own pain behind the mask of anger and cruelty. Alicia, a quiet, repressed child that simply follows the flow without thinking much of her true desires, turning egoistic and manipulative when something that finally has meaning to her is being brutally taken away. And finally Verso, a man with many masks, who hides his true feelings behind charm and smiles as a way of survival under the reign of a totalitarian mother (and who gets screwed by her anyway).
