oh, what a question. it's enough to get a long pause, rufus trying to consider the question. he could just tell reeve 'absolutely not, i don't have time for that', and to an extent it might be true. rufus hums, leaning back to seem relaxed (he was never relaxed) and he glances at reeve.

he could counter with 'who would be so foolish as to love me' -- but that would surely entail bringing up old trauma, and rufus would sooner die than tell anyone that he's anything more than the person his father tried to create.

"why wonder about something like that?" there's a curious edge to his voice, trying to find out... why.

as relaxed as he could be, reeve couldn't help but laugh a little bit. He didn't think Jae would give him this kind of attention, but when the touching became more, and the other's lips touched him, he couldn't help but smile a bit. Leaning his head back just a little bit, the softness of the other's lips moved to sharp pain into his neck. Taking a hold to the other's side, Reeve's grip tightened and a small sigh left his lips. Closing his eyes for a moment, he couldn't help but shiver. Reeve wasn't used to attention like this, and he wasn't sure how else to relax -- but it seemed that the other was enjoying himself. The coldness of the other's tongue dragged down his neck, he laughed a little, but he also inhaled sharply. " Ah... you're such a tease... You know I have to be in a meeting later.. Why would you do this now of all times?"

Jae smirks and tugs on the lobe of Reeve's ear with his teeth, chuckling under his breath.

"Just skip the meeting, or reschedule it. Or hell, have everyone reconvene here, I'll just keep out of sight and out of mind-" he promises, though they both know he'd just cause more trouble if left to his own devices- Especially if he was implying he'd hide beneath Reeve's desk.

Like hell if he was going to sit there through hours upon hours of talking about revenue and construction management without finding something to entertain himself with.

"Or maybe I just wanna see how well you can hide a bunch of hickies under your collar without some of your fellow directors noticing?"

"Don't like it? Deal with it. Just stay down." Cloud said it so quickly, and so sharp. He was pissed that the situation increased this much, and there were Shinra Troopers all over the place. Just how they found out his whereabouts was unknown to him, but he'd not expect to rope in some... Shinra Executive?? Or whatever this guy was. He didn't care. He just knew that apparently he was a 'friendly', but what did that really mean.

"You said you had connections, right?? Were you giving tips to this guy in Kalm? Gotta be... You look rich enough." A passing glance at him, occasionally looking over the desk they were both hiding behind to make sure they weren't caught.

there was a small chuckle on his lips. Watching the other for a moment, he couldn't help but feel safer around him, than anyone else. " I'm always crunched on time, so you think you can make it worth it?" he teased, giving the other a wink. Listening to what else the other was saying, he couldn't help but dream of the days when he could be lazy and now have to worry about working -- and even overworking. Zack rolled his eyes fondly, and pulled Reeve closer to his chest. A hand automatically went to his partner's shorter hair. "That's the whole point, Ree," he sighed and rested his chin on Reeve's head. "Quickies're common. I wanna take you apart slowly."

With a tight squeeze, he gave up and buried his nose into Reeve's hair to whine pathetically yet adorably. "I wanna make you take care of yourself better. I wanna make you take more time off, and relax more on those days off. I don't wanna rush with ya. I wanna savor every second I get you all to myself 'cause I dunno when'll be the next time I get a lotta time with ya."

Glenn was still catching his breath when Reeve started yelling at him. It had been a short but brutal fight. Several monsters just popping up out of thin air, seemingly. Hunting for some of the people in the undercity. Looking to the other man with a baffled expression, Glenn... didn't understand. Throwing his hands to the side in a wide shrug, he stumbled back a little.

"Plan...? I don't know! Maybe saving them, my and your ass?!", he tried to reason. He had flung himself into that fight without waiting for back-up forces like Reeve had suggested.

"The back-up you called would've taken too long to get here! The monsters could've hurt more people by then! I couldn't just stand by and watch! Everyone knows Shinra doesn't prioritise calls for help from the undercity! You wanna be dead the next time?"
