It's really important we create the right atmosphere on set so we want people that bring this, feel comfortable and make others feel comfortable." late to the party but oh geez this phrasing, along with 'sex positive', in an ad really weirds me out. Like it's not saying 'we want everyone to be comfortable' but 'we want people who won't ruin the vibe' like literally want people who "feel comfortable" what does that mean. how do you interpret it? (3/2) sorry I'm back, the idea of asking someone to be sex positive for a job is driving me crazy. like what does that mean?? I know, I think, what they think it means but ahhh. also are people really paid that little to be in music videos? I know there were a lot of people but that does not seem like a lot.

I totally agree - the casting call is super skeevy and disgusting. In general, asking for people who are 'sex positive' for a job interview is never inappropriate and will be discriminating against people for all sorts of reasons, including experience of trauma. (It's also highly gendered, and I would be very surprised if it was used in the context of that was going to be predominantly male).

But it's even worse when what they say when they mean 'sex positive' is 'we don't want you to have boundaries'. What is really notable about that bit you quoted is that they don't mention anything they're going to provide to create a good atmosphere (an intimacy co-ordinator, break-out space, lots of ways of checking in and opting out). They're treating 'don't imply unless you're chill' as a substitute for all that.

It does make me very, very angry.

So I stood in front of my bathroom mirror and used a towel to help make some reference photos of my cosplay as Leo (my sona), specifically reference photos for the collar, and as I'd expected I've been doing it wrong all this time.

The paper got a little messed up when I erased the old one, 'scuse me.

Here's the reference photos when I put a towel under the collar to more easily tell it apart from the rest of the shirt:

Turns out (imo) that blue/turquoise/teal(I dunno colours) really fits Leo.

Also the yellow neckwear is because my beard kept showing beneath the mask so i covered my face.

Here's a few reference photos where I simply put on different articles of clothing that I had and thought might look good with the hawaii shirt:

This is a white vest that I've had for years but haven't used because it gets dirty so easily, imo it makes Leo look like a fisher/angler.

ALSO I FOUND THE SWEDISH EQUIVALENT OF A DOLLAR'S WORTH OF CHANGE IN ONE OF THE POCKETS; HIGHLIGHT OF THE DAY!

This is a shirt that I found in a fleasale, I really like it and I think it makes Leo look like He's a part of a mob or something.

Also featuring my black leather gloves.

Last one now, probably my favourite along with the black striped shirt above, also makes Leo look like he's part of some mob.

Now if only I had a good hat to go with that mob style... Might swing by dollar store tomorrow and see if the have something cheap.

If someone good at drawing sees this and has some free time I would love to see Leo as an actual mobster.

Years ago I started a very large canvas (40" by 40") using this lion picture as a reference. It was a huge pain and I made heaps of mistakes. I still love the reference picture so I decided that today I would try it again but on a smaller scale. I'm so happy with how it's going so far.
