having Big Thoughts about what Mara’s role in Operation Cinder would’ve been and realized that it’s…probably exactly what the New Republic would’ve been wanting to do

a trail of dead Imp war criminals leading from Coruscant to somewhere in the Outer Rim, and then suddenly Talon Karrde has a cool, mysterious second-in-command who kind of matches the few witness descriptions of the assassin (she’s way too short, of course, and they’re pretty sure the killer had an Inquisitor’s uniform on; why would an Inquisitor be working for a small-time pirate lord?)
