When they arrived at Bethlehem, the wondrous truth was manifest: God Himself, dwelling among us. What awe and joy they must have experienced, meeting the Son of God face to face!⁠ ⁠ The Magi are a good reminder of how we should respond when we approach the Lord in the Eucharist. God Himself continues to dwell among us through this Blessed Sacrament!⁠ ⁠ The Magi came bearing gifts for the King of kings. What gifts can you bring to Him when you approach Him in the Eucharist? Your heart, your sacrifices, your struggles, your joys? Jesus desires nothing more than you, living eternally with Him.⁠ ⁠ The Magi also paid Jesus homage. How can you approach the Lord with greater reverence? How can you honor Him as the Lord of your life in the day to day? In Äthiopien wurde im April 2018 Abiy Ahmed Premierminister und hat seitdem eine unglaubliche Reformwelle im Land losgetreten:

- (Ahmeds Vorgänger Hailemariam Desalegn trat freiwillig zurück, die guten Nachrichten fangen also streng genommen damit an, dass die Machtübergabe friedlich verlief.) - Frieden mit Eritrea, obwohl Äthopien dadurch Gebiete verliert. - Der jahrelange Notstand wurde aufgehoben. - Alle politischen Gefangenen wurden freigelassen und politische Gegner amnestiert. - Selbst ein Terroranschlag, dem Dutzende seiner Anhänger zum Opfer fielen, brachten ihn nicht von seinem Reformkurs ab. - Die Beziehungen zu Ägypten, den Vereinigten Arabischen Emiraten und Saudi-Arabien sind auf einem Allzeithoch. - Beim Konflikt mit Dschibuti besteht die Hoffnung auf wenigstens einen Waffenstillstand. - Das neu vorgestellte äthiopische Kabinett ist ein Vorbild an Vielfalt: Ihm gehören nicht nur männliche Tigray an, sondern Männer und Frauen aus allen Volksgruppe Äthiopias.
