            Words don’t always come to him, but the one thing that Reggie always knew how to do what comfort those who he was close with, and with Maya - he’s got her in his lap, fingers combing through her hair in a soothing manner to give a silent signal that he’s here for her, that he cares for her and that he’s not going away anytime soon. “Take your time,” He says quietly, not wanting to be too loud.

            A soft chuckle fell from Reggie’s lips as he leans over to press a soft kiss to Maya’s forehead, “That so?” He muses as he hitches an eyebrow slightly before softly caressing her cheek, “Wanna stay in bed then while I make us some breakfast?” He doesn’t mind cooking, it’s relaxing for him.

when one person stops the kiss to apologize and the other answers by kissing them more  &&   a gentle  ‘ i love you , ’  whispered after a soft kiss  ,  followed immediately by a stronger kiss   &&     height difference kisses where one person has to bend down  &&  the other is on their tippy toes

            Maya was just... Reggie just can’t explain it, not too much with words. She just knew how to make him smile by just being there and god, Reggie loved it. She was always welcomed in his space, because she belonged there. With Maya in front of him, he just finds himself wanting to kiss her, and well he’s not always good with controlling his impulses - so, he grabs hold of her face, bending himself downward so he could capture her lips with his own. 

               The kiss was just so out of no where so he pulls away a bit, whispering, “I’m sorry,” only for Maya to have kissed him right back, and he melts into the kiss. She was most definitely on her tiptoes. Lips moving softly against each other, and overwhelmed by emotions, Reggie is pulling away slightly, another whisper this time he’s saying “I love you,” just for her to hear. Before going in again, hand moving to her hip to hold her closer as he kisses her, pouring his emotions into the kiss as if he could never tell her just how much he truly loves her with just his words.

             Oh. Oh. Reggie’s mind has slightly short circuited - it’s stopped working slightly as Maya’s words process through his head. She... She likes him and she’s been trying to say it for a while. That really does say something about either Reggie’s lack of confidence within himself or just how oblivious it he is when it comes to anyone’s feelings regarding him. “I... Oh, you...” Reggie’s stumbling slightly over his words, his cheeks flushing red - “I like you too.” Real smooth Reggie. He’s mentally scolding himself for how unsmooth it was, how could he flirt with strangers to promote their music but the moment someone he actually cares about returns it he’s a flustered mess? He doesn’t understand it. “Like a whole lot.”

           Smile gracing across his lips as he looks at Maya, “I won’t go, ever.” Reggie says, and he means it. He would never leave Maya, for whatever reason. He cares way too much about her to ever do that, he knows where those fears come from - and will admit he has them himself, so yes he will reassure Maya anytime she needs it that he won’t leave her. “I promise you that.”

            There is a soft tilt of his head as he takes in Maya’s words, truly letting them register in his mind. She’s in love with him, it was still computing in his brain and he can feel his cheeks reddening, though when don’t they. “You...” Reggie’s lips start to break into a huge grin upon his lips because he knows how genuine she is, how this wasn’t something she’d just say lightly - like how he wouldn’t just say it lightly. They knew each other too well. “Yeah? Good thing I’m crazy in love with you too.”

          All of their friends, their family, were slowly pairing off as the countdown to the New Year went down. So, of course Reggie does the same, lightly grabbing hold of Maya’s hand - turning her to face him with a smile upon his lips as he uses one hand to brush away some of her hair, “Happy New Year,” He murmurs as those without partners were still counting down. and then as they reach one, Reggie presses his lips against Maya’s softly, it wasn’t too long, and when he pulls away he is smiling like an idiot at her.
