What are the Difference between Centripetal and Centrifugal Force?
Understanding the principles of centripetal and centrifugal forces is crucial for comprehending circular motion. These forces arise when an object moves along a curved path, causing it to experience an inward or outward force.
Centripetal Force Examples
To better grasp the concept of centripetal force, let’s consider a few examples:
A car navigating a roundabout: As the car enters the roundabout, friction between the tires and the road provides the centripetal force required to keep the car on the curved path.
A satellite orbiting the Earth: The gravitational force between the Earth and the satellite acts as the centripetal force, preventing the satellite from drifting away into space.
Centrifugal Force in a Circular Motion
Contrary to popular belief, centrifugal force is not a real force but rather a perceived force experienced by an object in a rotating frame of reference. It appears to act outward from the center of rotation, pushing objects away from the axis.
Centrifugal Force Examples
To illustrate the concept of centrifugal force, let’s examine a couple of examples:
Water spinning off a rotating bicycle wheel: When a wet bicycle wheel spins rapidly, the water droplets move away from the center due to the perceived centrifugal force.
Drying clothes in a spin dryer: The clothes stick to the inner surface of the dryer drum due to the centrifugal force acting outward from the center.
Difference between Centripetal and Centrifugal Force
Centripetal and centrifugal forces are concepts that often come up in the context of circular motion. They are related but fundamentally different in nature. Here are the key differences:
Centripetal Force
Definition:
Centripetal force is the real force that acts on an object moving in a circular path, directed towards the center of the circle.
Direction:
Always points towards the center of the circular path.
Nature:
It is a real force and can be caused by gravity, tension, friction, or other forces.
Function:
Keeps the object moving in a circular path by constantly changing the direction of the object's velocity.
Centrifugal Force
Definition:
Centrifugal force is a perceived force that appears to act on an object moving in a circular path when observed from a rotating reference frame. It seems to push the object away from the center.
Direction:
Always points away from the center of the circular path.
Nature:
It is a fictitious or pseudo-force that arises due to the inertia of the object when observed from a rotating reference frame.
Function:
It explains the outward force that passengers feel in a car turning in a circular path. It's not a real force but a result of the object's inertia.
Understanding the distinction between centripetal and centrifugal forces is essential in comprehending circular motion. Centripetal force directs an object toward the center of a circular path, while centrifugal force is a perceived effect that pushes objects outward. Remember that centripetal force is a real force, while centrifugal force is a reaction experienced in a rotating frame of reference.
In conclusion, centripetal and centrifugal forces play significant roles in various natural phenomena and man-made systems. By grasping their characteristics and effects, we can gain a deeper understanding of the mechanics behind circular motion.  If you want to learn concepts in detail our Physics online tuition will help you more. Tips To Crack IIT JEE
It is not just about what you did in the past two years. It is also about what you will do in the last few days. Many people don’t realize just how important these final days leading to the D-day are. The truth is that your preparation and attitude at this time can determine how you perform in your exam. Here are some last-minute tips to crack IIT JEE.
Tips To Crack IIT JEE:
Experts advise that you should be calm and composed as the day approaches. At the same time, adopting a few hacks that could tilt the pendulum in your favor would really help you. Let’s take a look at some tried and tested tips to crack IIT JEE:
Concentrate On The Formulae, Theorems, And Reactions: When it comes JEE, it is easy to be confused with these aspects of the syllabus, which is why studying them at least a couple of times, in the end, can help you remember better. You can come up with your own ways to memorize them such as co-relating them with names or coming up with patterns that are easy to remember.
Concentrate On The Topics That You Have Studied:
Once you go through the entire syllabus, it is common to go back and unearth topics that you haven’t studied (well). Experts say that doing so will cause you to panic because, obviously, you left those topics out because you found them difficult. The panic will make you lose focus and forget what you already studied well. You seriously don’t need this headache in the last minute!
Make Enough Time To Revise:
A lot boils down to revision. You spent months together covering the entire syllabus and now, you must have enough time to go through everything you studied. Trust us, you cannot do that in a day or two. Depending on your personal preferences and your speed, you are advised to ensure that you have at least a few days in the bank just to revise. Again, remember that this time is only for you to revise what you already studied and not to start a new topic that you didn’t touch.
Solve A Few Mock Test Papers or Previous Year Question Papers:
Doing this will give you confidence. If you have studied well, you will be able to do well in these tests and that will make you feel better. Also, make sure you always set the timer so that you know how quick you are.
Do Not Let The Doubts Breed:
You have your professor, seniors, and mentors to turn to when you find the need. If a doubt troubles you, make sure you have it cleared. That doubt could make or break your chances! Why risk it, then? Clear it up and practice related questions so that you don’t forget.
Eat Healthily:
Do not neglect your health in these final moments. Falling sick now could ruin your future plans.
Sleep early and sleep well:
Go to bed before 11:00 PM especially on the day of the exam and wake up early. Adequate sleep is paramount for the proper functioning of the brain.
Calm Your Nerves:
Panic and stress can blank you out. Don’t let them get to you. You have studied well throughout the months. You just have to take the final step now. Stay calm while you do so. Meditate, exercise, and eat well to keep calm.
Reach The Exam Hall Early:
There’s nothing worse than running late on the day of your exam. Start early and reach at least half an hour. Staying composed is very important and these little things matter.
These are some basic last-minute tips to crack IIT JEE.

IIT JEE EXAMS RESULT, PATTERN, CUTOFF, FEES.
Joint Entrance Examination – Advanced (JEE-Advanced), formerly the Indian Institutes of Technology-Joint Entrance Examination (IIT-JEE), is an academic examination held annually in India.
JEE is a national level exam taken for the admission in B. Tech or B. E. and IIT is a chain of colleges, where you can study engineering or other courses. If you want admission in IIT in B. Tech then you must give JEE.
It is conducted by one of the seven zonal IITs (IIT Roorkee, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Delhi, IIT Kanpur, IIT Bombay, IIT Madras, and IIT Guwahati) under guidance of the Joint Admission Board (JAB). It is the sole prerequisite for admission in the Indian Institutes of Technology.
The first institute of IIT, Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, started in 1951. In its initial few years (1951-1954), students were admitted on the basis of their academic results followed by an Interview in several centers across the country.
The IIT-JEE was conducted for the first time in 1961[4]when it had four subjects including an English language test. The examination since evolved considerably from its initial pattern. The IIT-JEE was initially called the Common Entrance Exam (CEE); its creation coincided with the 1961 IIT Act.[5]
JEE—(Joint Entrance Examination) is an Exam.
IIT- (Indian Institute of Technology) basically, IIT's are colleges.
IIT's has been the most prestigious colleges across the country in engineering field, every single student who dreams to become an engineer wants to do his engineering from such renowned colleges like IIT's.
Yes, you read that right! There are several IIT colleges in our country. If you are interested to write this exam you must read further things.
JEE Main is for those candidates who wish to get into BE or B.Tech courses in the National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), other Centrally Funded Technical Institutes (CFTIs) and engineering colleges of the participating states. The JEE Main is also the eligibility test that allows students to give the JEE
Advanced exam which eventually leads to admission in either the IITs or the Indian School of Mines (ISM).
The JEE Main is comprised of two papers, namely, Paper 1 and Paper 2. The Paper 1 is for those who would want admission in BE and B.Tech courses and Paper 2 is for those who want admission in B.Arch and B.Planning courses. While Paper 1 is held via the online and offline mode, Paper 2 is held only offline. While applying for the JEE Main exam, the candidates must specify if they want to appear for Paper 1 or Paper 2 or both.
JEE Advanced, on the other hand, is strictly paper-based. The candidates must sit for both Paper 1 and Paper 2 in this exam to get admission into engineering courses.
PATTERN OF EXAMS
Mains is an exam of 360 marks. If you are aiming for 150 marks or less, as you mentioned in the question then I assume you are aware that with these marks-
You will most probably qualify to give jee advance. If you fail to qualify advance you will land up nowhere with these marks. Now coming back to your question-
If you are aiming for <150 score, then there are many chaps you can avoid and many you can focus on. They are -
PHYSICS
All chapters/lab manuals having topics related to errors and measurement and the expt.s prescribed in the mains syllabus Modern physics chapters - photoelectric effect and nuclear physics SHM Optics - geometrical optics as well as wave optics AC Chapters specially in mains, and not in advance like semiconductor physics, etc CHEMISTRY
p block groups - 15 to 18 d and f blocks Metallurgy Co-ordination compounds Electrochemistry Chemical kinetics Qualitative analysis (from lab manual) Chemical bonding Chemical equilibrium Thermodynamics Solid state Organic chemistry basics Biomolecules and chem. in everyday life MATHEMATICS
Matrices Permutations and combinations Probability Limits Complete calculus Basic trigonometry Vector - 3D Parabola These are most important topics for mains and you will mostly find a chapter for each topic in ncer. Also remember- every year about 250-300 marks questions can be answered just after reading ncert thoroughly. Pay special attention for chemistry and read the entire textbooks (all years) as last year the chemistry section derived heavily from the book.
Also, ncert material is the best to prepare for mains

One important change from 2019 is that the JEE (Main) examination will be conducted twice before admissions in the next academic session.
Candidates are not required to compulsorily take the test twice though if a candidate appears in both the tests, the better of the two scores will be considered.
The JEE (Main) is also an eligibility test for the JEE (Advanced), which the candidates can take if they are seeking admissions to the undergraduate programmes offered by
the institutes.

IIT JEE preparation tips for Calculus. What you should know
This article will be one of the very important IIT JEE preparation tips. It is Calculus. Calculus continued to be my favorite subject in JEE. This is the best, the most logical and the most beautiful topic for me. This subject has it her beauty. It is a mixture of everything: coordinates of geometry, algebra, vector, and the rest. And this is the fact why I am interested in the calculus. It’s extremely important from the point of engineering.
Tumblr media
Here is the syllabus of the Calculus Syllabus defined by IIT JEE
Function: It creates the foundation of calculus. Understand this concept well; otherwise learning Calculus will become very difficult for you. The most common questions are:
Find a domain and range for a particular Function: students here make some very silly mistake Understanding one-one and onto function. Drawing the graph and find the number of intersections of two or more functions
To study this chapter, learn drawing graphs. This will help you a lot. Practice more problems with finding a domain/domain. There are few tips to crack JEE mains such as:
No negative number inside the square root. There is no division to zero Never put zero or any negative number in the logarithmic Base of log is not equal to 1 or zero or negative.
You hope to know these basic terms. It is a good practice to check the answer for available options.
Limits : the most important part. The whole calculus is based on the chapter limit. Mastering this Chapter is very important. Use it as much as you can. You can also try to learn the expansion series, but I could not avoid it because most of the problem with the expansion can be solved if you know the rules and practiced them rigorously. That is why I never needed expansion. However, it is recommended not to forget the exponential and logarithmic series. The questions in this chapter are usually simple and easy. All you have to do is start from zero upon zero or infinite upon infinite form to an appropriate value. Most of the questions will be solved using  L’hospital rule. I should also mention that there will be a lot of variety.
IIT JEE preparation tips for Continuity: Another important Chapter. Questions in this chapter can be solved if you accurately and quickly draw graph of the function. Continuous Chapter have many interesting and important functions, such as greatest integer function, signum  etc. Understand and apply them.
Differentiation : one of the simplest chapters. It does not take much effort. Learn to distinguish: division rules, product rules, chain rule, implicit differentiation, exponential and logarithmic differentiation, a higher level of derivatives. Practice enough questions.
Application Of Derivatives : the most important chapter because most of the questions relate to this subject. Rolle’s sentence, Lagrange’s Mean Value theorem(LMVT), the concept of maxima & minima, increasing and decreasing functions, inflection points, and so on.
They are really important. Answer all questions from these topics. Prepare to see the most JEE problems on this topic. If you are weak, do something about it before you have problems. Basically, this is a mixture of all the previous chapters in calculus, and JEE is the application of concepts.
