Shown here under the Plymovent spotlight today is the beginnings of one of my favourite characters. The Raven species has held a fascination for me since the days I wore a younger mans clothes. It’s lonely call can be heard echoing throughout the Northern Ontario wilderness. Thinking of this, my memory drifts to a tall pine tree stand scattered amongst precarious rock formations of the great Canadian Shield. As I glance over the marshland meadows, I witness multitudes of bulrushes in a magical dance partnered with the maiden breeze sent down from the North. Off in the distance, the lonely call of the “Corvus corax”. In the past, especially since my shop is smaller, the “blue weld haze” gathering over my head used to be quite the problem.
