Researchers make game-changing breakthrough with 'breathing' energy tech: 'Combines strong performance with simplicity'
Researchers make game-changing breakthrough with 'breathing' energy tech: 'Combines strong performance with simplicity' https://share.google/a2qiwywEtDsLdrGbW
A new 'breathing' battery tech promises to store green energy & to clean the air as well!!
Early research shows that the lithium mix inside, reacts with CO² to make electricity & at the same time, this mix traps CO² gas & stores the energy released!
A new battery design & an affordable compound lets it charge more efficiently, run longer & hold more energy.
It also loses far less energy as it charges & during its use.
Computer modeling let the research team to see the chemical reactions work - from inside the battery!!
These would make for powerful batteries in solar panels & EVs.
Even better, they'd help reduce emissions & cut energy costs - all while they also help to clean the air...
Strangely enough, this tech would be perfect for use on the planet Mars! There, carbon dioxide is, by far, the dominant gas in the atmosphere.
But, more work is needed before a finished battery is finally available...
Not the End!

Final Fantasy VII community have you heard about
✨🌿Solarpunk🌱✨
Solarpunk is a lot like cyberpunk where you’re fighting companies and the unjust system that rules that are destroying the planet and the ability to hold live on it. And the goal is to find a balance to live together with technology and nature and become sustainable for the planet.
(Sounds kinda familiar huh? 👀)
Typically a lot of Solarpunk stories take place after the fight has been won and these systems are in place. Ultimately it’s kinda like a utopia but we all have to constantly work to make our lives and the places we live in a better place as utopias are actually well. Impossible.
But Final Fantasy VII? After the downfall of Shinra? Everyone working together to help heal the planet and work on energy sources that won’t drain the planet is just prime for Solarpunk.
This post is just a little introduction for Solarpunk because I’m sure not everyone want a full on essay on what Solarpunk is. But if this interests you, take a look at the Solarpunk tag and some Solarpunk books for inspiration 👀

Correct. Don't have data on exactly how much more energy it would take to make an ad targetted, but if we consider the process:
-you need to track what the user does, which takes energy,
- store this information in a server that takes energy to run, and then
-actually 'choose' the correct type of ad, which takes energy again,
I'd say it's very fair to assume that it is More. Also, while solar and wind don't output pollution during operation, a signifcant amount of pollution happens during their manufacturing, so while it is 'cleaner', we still can't say its fully 'clean'. And of course you have to incorporate the lifespan of these things, and how efficient they are at their job. So, regardless of energy source, it's still not great that it uses more.
Also I've said this before but advertising is an industry that should be considered as pointless and harmful as fossil fuels.

Solar Power in India - Everything You Need to Know About Solar Energy
Tumblr media
Solar power is changing the way we think about energy in India. With so much sunlight throughout the year, India has the perfect conditions to use solar power effectively. Let’s talk about what solar power is, how it works, and why it is becoming a big part of our energy plans. We will also go over its benefits, challenges, and what the future looks like for solar energy in India.
What is Solar Power?
Solar power is energy we get from the sun. Solar panels capture sunlight and turn it into electricity. These panels use photovoltaic (PV) cells, which work using something called the photovoltaic effect. Solar power is clean, sustainable, and great for the environment. It is an excellent way to lower pollution and fight towards climate change.
How Does Solar Power Work?
Here is how solar power is made:
Capturing sunlight: Incoming sunlight is absorbed by solar panels by means of PV cells.
Generating electricity: The photovoltaic effect changes sunlight into direct current (DC) electricity.
Making it usable: The inverter takes charge to convert DC(Direct Current) into AC(Alternating Current) electricity to supply power to homes and businesses.
Learn about the process behind how solar power works with KP Group.
Why is Solar Power Important for India?
India is moving quickly toward solar energy. It is affordable, clean, and helps us meet our growing demand for energy. Here is why solar power matters for India:
Plenty of sunlight: Most of India gets 250-300 sunny days every year, which is perfect for solar energy.
Better for the world: Solar power is clean and it reduces our dependence on fossil fuels.
Boosts the economy: The solar industry creates jobs and brings in investments for renewable energy projects.
Energy security: Solar power reduces the dependence of India on imported sources of energy.
Benefits of Solar Power in India
Good for the environment: Solar energy cuts down on carbon emissions, making the air cleaner.
Cost-effective: Solar panels require very low maintenance after installation and provide free energy.
Energy independence: Solar energy makes India less dependent on other countries for power.
Flexible: Solar systems work for homes, businesses, and even large-scale solar power plants.
Challenges in Solar Power Adoption
While solar power is amazing, it is not without its challenges:
High initial costs: Solar panels and installation can be expensive upfront.
Land needs: Big solar power plants need a lot of space, which can be tough to find.
Sunlight dependency: Solar power doesn’t work as much on cloudy days or at night.
Infrastructure issues: India’s power grid and storage systems need upgrades to handle solar energy properly.
Solar Power in India: Current Status
India has made big strides in solar energy. It is now one of the top countries in the world for solar power installations.
Some Key Stats:
India had more than 70 GW of installed solar capacity in 2024. The target value for 2030 is to reach 280 GW.
Bhadla Solar Park of Rajasthan is among the largest solar parks in the world.
The National Solar Mission is pushing for solar energy to play a big role in India’s energy mix.
Applications of Solar Power
Solar energy is useful in many ways:
Homes: Rooftop solar panels are financially beneficial for families through saving electricity bills.
Businesses: Companies use large solar systems to cut costs and meet sustainability goals.
Farms: Solar-powered pumps help farmers with irrigation, reducing reliance on the grid.
Remote areas: Solar power lights up villages without access to traditional electricity.
Future Potential of Solar Energy in India
The future looks bright for solar energy in India. New technologies are making solar panels more efficient, and better storage solutions mean we can use solar energy even when the sun is not shining. India is focused on becoming a leader in renewable energy, and solar power is a big part of that plan.
What is New in Solar Technology?
Bifacial solar panels: These panels capture sunlight from both sides that adds up to higher efficiency.
Energy storage systems: Batteries like lithium-ion store extra energy for later use.
Floating solar plants: Solar panels on water bodies save land space and work efficiently.
Find out more about these innovations at KP Group.
Why Invest in Solar Power?
Switching to solar power is smart for both the planet and your wallet. Here is why:
Save on electricity bills.
Help reduce pollution and fight climate change.
Take advantage of government subsidies and tax benefits.
Government Incentives:
Subsidies for rooftop solar: Homeowners can get financial help for installations.
Tax benefits: Businesses investing in solar energy enjoy tax perks.
Net metering: Sell any extra electricity your solar system generates back to the grid.

There is a simple solution to curb global warming, but we won't do it because of Big Oil and God?!?!?
Tumblr media
Did ya know,..... the Yellowstone Supervolcano Could Be a FREE Energy Source for the entire United States?
Ya see,... Scientists have proposed that the Yellowstone supervolcano could be a source of renewable geothermal energy that could power the entire United States, THAT'S RIGHT, every company, every office, and every home in the United States.
The supervolcano sits on top of a hot spot, a reservoir of molten rock that's at least 125 miles underground. The heat from the hot spot powers the park's geysers, hot springs, mud pots, and vents. According to research the supervolcano could generate more than 11 quadrillion watt hours of electricity each year, which would be enough to power the entire United States (Look it up, this ain't no joke!!)
The northwest corner of Wyoming is literally boiling. There, 10,000 hydrothermal features transform Yellowstone National Park into an alien world with searing waters and steaming vents—all fueled by a simmering supervolcano underground.
Scientists don't agree on when Yellowstone is likely to erupt, but they all agree if it does erupt the event would be catastrophic to the United States and an eruption would pack enough power to expel more than a thousand cubic kilometers of rock and ash all at once into the air, which would blanket most of the continental United States in ash and debris and potentially plunge Earth into a volcanic winter.
So NASA scientists ran a computer experiment to see if they might be able to halt a future supereruption. The internal study led by Brian Wilcox, an engineer at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, suggested drilling a series of wells around the perimeter of the park and pumping cold water down into the hot rock. The hypothetical solution would cool down Yellowstone’s magma chamber and prevent the volcano from ever erupting, because it would never build up pressure, that pressure would be converted to energy, power.........
As a bonus, the system would be able to extract five gigawatts of electricity, making it one of the largest power plants in the world. Outside experts agree that Yellowstone hosts enough geothermal energy to power the entire country.
BUT,.... and here's the thing, Yellowstone and other national parks have long been protected from commercial energy development to ensure that these regions remain pristine. The 1970 Geothermal Steam Act, which prohibited the placement of geothermal plants in national parks, even lists Yellowstone by name,...... our congressmen didn't want our pristeen national parks to become energy producing entities, so they voted against using Yellowstone to produce free power for all America,........ and they were paid well to do so by Big Oil and the Bureau of Reclamation who operates 133 hydroelectric power plants in the United States.
Imagine that,...... something your not gonna hear on the local news stations, because 90% of the news stations are owned by people who invested in Big Oil, and just by coincidence i imagine,........(not!).
Soooooo, while many government experts agree that Yellowstone should remain untouched because of kickbacks no doubt, reactions to NASA’s thought experiment highlight the promise and perils of other sizzling sites across the globe. Geothermal energy holds enormous clean energy potential, but it does carry drawbacks, and new power plants can face pushback from not only governing forces paid to look the other way and communities concerned about preserving the environment and respecting local deities (Gods), and not the most popular gods, but the gods like Mother earth and the many native american gods that are thought to represent nature.
So don't go thinking your utility bills are gonna go down drastically any time soon, because your government and the many Gods will vote against you every fucking time it seems, and how ironic isn't it?
And all that natural thermal power will for the time being just go dissipating into the thin air doing no one any damn good........sheesh!
Ya see there are ways to curb global warmings climate change, but then Big Oil wouldn't profit as much, and all those hydroelectric power plants owned by your utilities companies would lose money too if you had free power through renewable geothermal energy.
Remember Trump has deep-seated feelings of dislike towards any kind of renewable energy, and his heart belongs to Big Oil......
Republicans have always been more on the side of Oil prower than anything like renewable energy that takes away from their wealth!
Look it up yourself, you'll see.................
