Maria, @taylorsmygirl13 and I both collectively feel like vomitting because we can’t believe that the tour is:

A. ACTUALLY HAPPENING.

B. IT IS ?! SO SOON?!

We have missed you so so so so so much. I think that everyone can collectively agree that when we left our final show on the rep tour that we didn’t think we would go the number of days it has been since we would next see each other. Almost 5 years, one pandemic, 2 degrees, 5 birthdays, 4 records, a bunch of happy times, a bunch of sad times, moving cross country, and new friends later, here we are about to embark on this new journey of tour!!!! I’m collectively just here to say how freaking much I am so thankful to be able to have tickets to the 2 shows that I was able to get. But most importantly that Maria and I are actually living a dream that we talked about for almost a decade. Being at opening Night! We are hecking excited to let all these emotions of the last 5 years out together and share this night with you, T. Maria and I became besties (I mean look at our prom pics in 2016 Lol, because of you.) She has taught me so much and led me toward some of my greatest accomplishments while always encouraging me to constantly keep pushing. I genuinely can’t wait for you to experience her radiant happiness that she emits into any room that she walks into, because every human deserves it. When you realize that she has been there on your side since 2006, at the age of 8 and is now 25. Wow what a journey and special relationship that is. She’s been there for every release day; midnight music video release, traveling hours for tour, spreading your message with her tiny students, and thanks to you, grown into the most successful and beautiful lady I know.

So excited to see you opening weekend at the Glendale shows!!!!

~2015: literally never listened to music LMAO didnt even know about the existence of taylor swift

2016: my dad had the red album on apple music so i knew “i knew you were trouble” “22” “we are never ever getting back together” yk. the popular ones.

2017: not knowing wtf was going on with taylor, blasting “shake it off” in the car and singing along because it was on a “thats what i call music” cd

2018: went to the rep tour literally glendale night 1… i basically only knew her popular songs then and i was in the nosebleeds but i wish i had known the songs.. “gorgeous” became my fav. got a spotify account around this time and watched the rep mvs

2019: listened to some of taylors music on spotify (back when u didnt need premium) “welcome to new york” was my fav. i did see that lover came out and i saw part of the man mv on tv

2020: ashamed to admit but this was my gacha phase peak. “i knew u were trouble” is back on the charts but “wtny” stays on top. saw part of the cardigan mv on tv but other than that I HAD NO IDEA FOLKLORE AND EVERMORE EXISTED

2021: FEARLESS TV CAME OUT ON MY BDAY AND I HAD NO IDEA. BIGGEST REGRET OF MY LIFE

red tv comes out. this is my tiktok music era so i hear all too well 10min ver and its stuck in my head. i think wtny was still my fav LOL

2022: ive had her on my radar since red tv so i was excited for midnights! i started listening to her music little by little. i listened to midnights the moment i got home from school that day (i had exams or sm) and i immediately fell in love (especially yoyok, the great war, and dear reader/ literally the holy trio) then i started listening to a bunch of taylor songs and her music was all i listened to LOL yoyok was my fav! (honorable mentions: yail and wildest dreams)

2023: spent 70% of my time listening to music on taylor and the other 30% on gracie abrams… yoyok still remains my fav but i listened to all her albums front to back, loved all of them. and in the summer i got tickets to the eras tour! (listened to speak now tv and 1989 tv the day it came out obvi)

2024: absolutely flabbergasted when she announce ttpd like two days before my show. had the time of my life at the eras tour and died dead when she sang dear reader and holy ground (which im embarrassed to say i didnt know much of the lyrics to) my fav remains yoyok! (honorable mentions; yail, whos afraid of little old me?, long live)

So I don’t usually post things like this, but I guess I’ve been wanting to share it with you for a long time, T. You’ve helped me through so much in my life but there’s one instance in particular that I would love to tell you about. So, when ‘Better Man’ was first released and I heard it on the radio, I was mesmerized. I loved it. I thought it was one of the best songs I’ve ever heard and it’s still one of my favorite songs. I listened to it over and over, and I found myself relating to the lyrics. However, it wasn’t exactly my situation. See, I’ve posted about him a few times before but I’m in a very happy relationship with my partner and we’ve been dating for 12 years. Our song is actually ‘Ours’ and I couldn’t stop crying when you played it as a surprise song during the rep tour!

So I’m in a happy relationship, how do I relate to Better Man? It’s because I changed a few of the lyrics to fit my relationship with a close friend I had. She was like a sister to me, and out of nowhere she moved and stopped talking to me. We went from talking everyday to radio silence. I was upset, scared, and I couldn’t understand why she would do something like this… I still don’t, but I’m doing a lot better now. Whenever I would hear Better Man I would sing along with the changed lyrics (which admittedly aren’t very good but that’s why I’m a RBT and not a singer lol). One of the lyrics I changed was from the bridge and it goes like this: “I wish you were a better friend, I wonder what we would’ve become if you were a better friend… you would have met my son if you were a better friend” which isn’t very good haha but it really helped me get through what happened. 

Then, I found out that you wrote it and to be honest it made me cry, because the woman who has gotten me through so much in life just did it again and I didn’t even know it. I’m never gonna know why she broke off our friendship and I’m okay with that now. It took a while, but I have an amazing best friend and partner, Alan, and all the love from my family that helped me heal. I know this might seem a little dramatic but I’ve never been that close with other girls before so this was really hard for me to take in. But thanks to you, I really am doing better than I ever was. ♥

Happy 1 year anniversary to the era’s tour! I was at nights 1 & 2 in Glendale. Here are my thoughts as I was thinking them throughout the show:

“Omg this stage is massive”

“There don’t seem to be any places for her to pop out of.” (Lol)

“Will she even have any dancers?!” (I was a dummy)

“You don’t own me?! Omg what a perfect song”

“It’s a clock!”

“Are those peacocks?”

“MISS AMERICANA?!?!”

“CRUEL SUMMER?! Omg thank god.” (I was so worried she wouldn’t play it for some reason and it was the ONE song I needed to hear so I could relax the rest of the show. 😅)

“Oh…the man….great” (not a fave of mine and I truly thought there would only be time for like 19 songs haha)

“Oh ok, we are doing them in eras!”

“Her dancers have a lot of diversity among them in lots of ways, I’m very happy to see this.”

Do you think Taylor changed for Joe more than he did for her? Because after the Glendale/Texas/LV shows she seems more playful and silly? unlike during the Rep Tour.

She definitely dimmed her light for him and it’s obvious in many ways

But that's what I'm saying, if Eras had been in NYC or London it would have been weird if his family hadn't came. imo rep was a different situation, Joe was younger, their relationship was newer, he hasn't been at a concert situation like that before. If Liz had came to Glendale for rep and hypothetical Lover tour and hypothetical folkmore tour and then missed Eras I'd think "yeah that's weird", but we've got a sample size of 2 tours. I think they probably planned to go to NYC all along

maybe but I think if they were deeply vested still they’d have made the great trek to Arizona. It’s possible they didn’t go because Joe was in Hungary and they were like “we’ll go with Joe” but Elizabeth is literally a therapist like she would’ve known something is up with all that and how they weren’t expected to go by Taylor or her family.
