Researchers at the Cornell Alliance for Science have found that articles that mention President Donald Trump in the context of COVID-19 misinformation make up the “largest single component of the infodemic.”

“Infodemic” is a term used to refer to the rapid spread of inaccurate information related to the coronavirus.

The study analyzed 38 million articles published by English-language traditional media and online news services between Jan. 1 and May 26 to identify the most prominent topics of COVID-19 related misinformation.

The study, published Oct. 1, was in the peer-review process when the authors decided that the information needed to be made public immediately.

The 11 sub-topics of misinformation targeted by the study comprise of widely-publicized unsubstantiated claims, such as unproven cures to COVID-19 and conspiracy theories — claims which the report stated have been “amplified” by widespread coverage of “prominent persons whose views and comments are considered newsworthy.”

The study found that approximately 1.1 million of the news articles analyzed had some relationship with misinformation related to the pandemic. About 16 percent of those articles were fact-checking misinformation itself.

Conspiracy theories, such as the one that emerged at the beginning of the pandemic purporting that the COVID-19 outbreak could be traced to consumption of bat soup in Wuhan, China, made up almost half of the misinformation found.

However, while most conspiracy theories and other false claims tended to rise in popularity and fall rapidly — the topic of “miracle cures” comprised the bulk of the misinformation coverage.

Miracle cures included claims that UV light, disinfectant and hydroxychloroquine could potentially cure COVID-19.

“One of the surprising findings of the study was that the president’s name was associated with much of that miracle cure misinformation.” said Sarah Evanega, the director of the Cornell Alliance for Science and the lead author of the study.

The study found that the coverage of miracle cures had three separate prominent peaks from March to May of this year.

The first occurred in March, when Trump began to advocate for the use of hydroxychloroquine and chloroquine as COVID-19 treatments, even though there was no peer-reviewed clinical data proving that the drug would be effective.

However, the largest spike in misinformation coverage was on April 24 — at nearly 18,000 articles — when Trump suggested that injecting bleach or other disinfectants into oneself could potentially cure COVID-19 infections.

According to the researchers, this spike dwarfs the reaction caused by all other incidents of misinformation throughout the analyzed time period.

Further, the data collected suggests that the sub-topic of “miracle cures” accounts for more misinformation coverage than the other 10 combined, making it the second-largest contributor to the misinformation conversation after Trump himself.

Trump mentions comprised 37.9 percent of the overall infodemic, while “miracle cures” comprised 26.4 percent.

Going forward, Evanega believes that as a safe and effective COVID-19 vaccine becomes available, journalists and consumers need to be very careful about preventing a second infodemic, especially in light of the active anti-vaccine movement.

“Journalists have to do their part to focus on reputable science sources for information and to amplify the recommendations, the data and the science from bonafide experts, and to not give too much airtime to the information that’s coming from non-experts,” said Evanega, adding that consumers had to be mindful of the information they spread on social media, as well.

taylor, however did not find them very funny, especially Erskine’s parody so on Twitter she wrote to Erskine

“I understand why acting hasn’t worked out for you.”

Erskine responded,

“I understand why winning an election hasn’t worked out for you.”

To which taylor, like all the other R-CMLs who lost, she blamed her loss on the 2020 Election being rigged against her

June 4, 2023: taylor, couldn't let it go, so to set the record straight she released a podcast claiming the two Flat Earthers she interviewed are “highly intelligent,” that she “never said the Earth is flat,” and that she “never said globes were fake.”

Then she went after Erskine, again

Erskine in her parody of taylor joked "God flips the Earth upside down when we go to sleep at night." So, using one of R-CMLs favorite catch phrase, she called Erskine

A “radical, liberal, psychotic girl. I would never have thought to say something so dumb! It’s not me, people It’s [Erskine]! It’s Blaire! Her name is Blaire!”

Though unnecessary she clarified she doesn’t actually believe God flips the Earth upside down when we go to sleep at night.

So, at this point we're all caught up,

We know taylor is worried about globes, worried so much her children are worried about globes.

We know she doesn't like Blaire Erskine.

and

We know, she knows god doesn't flip the earth at night.

May 3, 2023: Jenna Barbee, a Teacher at Winding Waters K-8 in Brooksville, Florida Barbee alleged at a School Board meeting a parent, who also serves on the School Board, Reported her for the showing Disney's movie “Strange World” to her Students.

May 13, 2023: She posted to TicTok stating she is now being Investigated by her School and the Florida's Education Department after showing the movie to her 5th grade Students

The Crime she committed, showing a PG Movie about a Family of Explorers which happens to have an openly gay character. 

Ethan Clade, has a crush on another boy and mentioned it once at the start of the movie and never talks about the crush again.

In her TikTok video, she said the parent who reported her accused her of indoctrinating students about LGBTQ identities and compromising students’ safety. 

She said “Is a character in the movie LGBTQ? Absolutely. Is that why I showed it? No.”

and

“This is the Public Education System, where Students from all backgrounds, cultures and religions are welcomed and should be celebrated and represented. I am not and never would indoctrinate anyone to follow my beliefs, I will, however, always be a safe person to come to who spreads the message of kindness, positivity and compassion for everyone.”

At the School Board Meeting, she identified the Board Member as shannon rodriguez. 

rodriguez responded accusing Barbee of...

“stripping the innocence” of her 10-year-old child by screening the film. 

“It is not a teacher’s job to impose their beliefs upon a child: religious, sexual orientation, gender identity, any of the above. Movies such as this assist Teachers in opening a door … for conversations that have no place in our classrooms.”

Adding...

"As a leader in this community, I’m not going to stand by and Allow This Minority To Infiltrate Our Schools.”

Republican Jimmy Lodato was on the School Board, before rodriguez who is a Republican-Confederate MAGA Loyalist and backed by blaise ingoglia, State Representative

rodriguez did not win the Election on Merit, she won with influence, money and lies

Ingoglia, sources say has used his Government Gone Wild PAC to spend upwards of a half-million dollars smearing Lodato,

They accused Lodato of not being a Republican (meaning not the right kind of republican) and wrong for the Children of Hernando County. Per the way of R-CML without proof he was accused of intentionally allowing pornographic material in School Libraries, forced children to wear masks, and allowed an accused sex offender to work at Suncoast Elementary School.

Lodato did not responded to the in-kind, instead he stuck with promoting his platform and propping up the half-cent sales tax he spearheaded during the last election.

Barbee, a first-year teacher, said she showed her students the science-fiction movie because it tied in to her class’s science lessons, and she was also looking to give her students a break after a full day of standardized testing.

May 23, 2023: rick scott, Florida Senator, former Governor and perpetrator of the Largest Health Care Fraud Case in United States History issued what he described as a “Formal Travel Advisory for Socialists Visiting Florida,”,

Warning, or Threating Travelers the State is “Openly Hostile” To Socialists and Their Enablers.

He further stated

“The [people of] Florida devalues and marginalizes the contributions of, and challenges faced by Socialists and others who work in the Biden Administration,”

Could it be a Declaration of War against Federal Employees and/or Supporters of President Biden

Perhaps he thinks this will protect trump and his allies.

Regardless of his reason, Anyone who is not a Republican-Confederate MAGA Loyalist and goes to Florida is putting Their Safety and Their Life in Danger.

Which is Good for US to Know.

It's time to cut the people of Florida off, no more Social Security, Medicare or Funding to their Social Programs. Pull out all Federal Law Enforcement, Military and Border Protection.

Strip U.S. Citizenship, erect a Border Wall and Wipe Our Hand of Them.

Give scott and all R-CML in Florida what they want... Independence.

Of course Non-R-CMLs should be given assistance in leaving Florida because staying there would put Their Safety and Their Life in Danger.
