#rex is being supportive bf/ex-bf

Okayyy well you didn’t specify any particular character so I’m choosing the ones I want to <33

(Spoilers for both oxenfree games <3)

Lark as Alex- So Alex’s thing with loosing her brother is a major plot point in oxenfree, plus her relationship with the ghosts (doodler here). So larks loss is his relationship with his dad, I think that’s makes sense with the flashbacks and time loops that’ll happen. And larks connections with the doodler make him a good vessel for that (and paralleling to nick being Clarissa and their relationship yeah)

Nick as Clarissa- if you don’t know oxenfree, Alex and Clarissa hate each other a bit bc Clarissa blames Alex for letting her brother (Clarissa bf) die. In this au nick and lark are exs and the tension between them will most likely be that. There is also a part of the game where you have options to sacrifice Clarissa and such to the ghosts (doodler) and I think it’d be fun to have those moments between lark and nick

Scary as Olivia- Okay so this is the second game but basically olivia is part of a cult and she’s supporting the ghosts bc she wants to see her parents again and such. I think here scarys influence into the cult would be willy (not her parents like Olivia) and she wants to connect to the doodler bc of her relationship with her bio-dad, possibly her dad is dead in the au and she’s trying to connect to him again? Haven’t quite decided but yeah. Again strong connection to the ghosts as Olivia and strong connection to the doodler as scary so <3

Normal as Riley- Honestly haven’t totally decided what I want to do for this one fully. Since a main plot point for riley is her flash forwards to Rex (her future son), im thinking Normal has flash forwards to something as well (the question is what? And why?) but main reasoning is that riley has a connection to Alex (first game) which happens to be normals uncle here, lark so yk. Connections to the doodler and so on. Oh and also Riley’s loss of connection to her dad is a huge thing and I think normal has a similar thing between himself and sparrow so,
