The ex-head of #MI6 believes #Covid19 escaped from a #ChineseLab. ⁣ ⁣Sir #RichardDearlove, who was at the helm of #Britain's top #spyagency from 1999 to 2004, said that he doesn’t think the #virus was released deliberately. Speaking in a podcast, he cited a peer-reviewed study by a British-Norwegian team which discovered 'inserted sections placed on the SARS-CoV-2 Spike surface' that allow the virus to come into contact with human cells. ⁣ ⁣Dearlove claims the research paper was 'watered down' to remove accusations against #Beijing. Not everyone has taken the controversial study at face value though. The #FrancisCrick Institute and Imperial College #London have both rejected its conclusions.
