"How did you feel when you were chosen for the role?"

Fuyuno: I've been watching tokusatsu shows since I was a child, so I have a strong admiration for heroes. I was really happy, but at the same time, I felt anxious and pressured.

Suzuki: I too have admired the existence of heroes since I was a child, so I was incredibly shocked when I found out that I would actually become one.

Kanda: I felt as if I had been given a license to officially call myself a hero, which was all the more reason for me to get my act together.

Matsumoto: I was incredibly anxious, but after meeting the members, I realized that it wasn't something I'd be doing alone, but something we would create together. It got me fired up all over again.

Imamori: I had asked for manager A-san to call me if I passed, and B-san to call me if I was rejected. When I received the call from B-san, I thought I had failed, but they told me I had "been chosen." I was so shocked and happy that I cried.

"Do you see any similarities or things you have in common between yourself and the respective roles you play?"

Fuyuno: Tono Hoeru is an interesting character who's unsociable, has a foul mouth, and gives off the impression of being unapproachable, but he also has a surprisingly kind and cute side to him.

Suzuki: Mio and Hoeru have alot in common.

Kanda: It's more like he's Hoeru himself.

Fuyuno: I think so too (laughs).

Suzuki: Byakuya Rikuo is a former super idol. He's a character with good hearing, and I myself can wiggle my ears, so it's useful for my role.

Kanda: His soft vibes is something they have in common.

Fuyuno: In any case, he's kind and approachable.

Matsumoto: He's handsome on the inside and out, and is an extraordinary and flawless person.

Suzuki: No, no, that's too high of a hurdle to clear! (laughs).

Kanda: I play the role of Bakugami Ryugi, a weirdo follower of Tega Sword-sama. When I become addicted to something, it's all I want to do, and I previously got my certification as a professional darts player.

Matsumoto: Normally he's like our big brother.

Suzuki: He was very reliable from the day we started filming, and it made me want to follow him for the rest of my life.

Matsumoto: Takehara Kinjiro is a serious person at his core, and the youngest who's a "party person" high schooler. I guess what we have in common is that we laugh often. I'm someone who laughs pretty easily.

Kanda: Also, his ears turn red when he laughs.

Matsumoto: That's right! It was bad enough that I was given the OK with my red ears in episode 4 (laughs).

Imamori: Ichikawa Sumino is a high class detective who's able to properly use her coolness with her charm. I myself am the youngest child of my family, and I don't have big sister vibes like Sumino, so I'm still learning.

Suzuki: Maya-chan's presence brightens up the mood, which helps us out alot.

Fuyuno: Everyone's character in Gozyuger has depth, with each and every one of them having their own human drama. It's a production where every single episode will leave an impact, so I hope you'll check it out.

"We know that filming will continue, but is there anything you'd like to do together during this period?"

Imamori: I want us to have a barbecue.

The other four: Sounds good! That should be fun.

Imamori: I want us to take pictures in photo booths, and to go to an amusement park and ride the roller coaster.

Fuyuno: Ah……yeah. That'll be fine.

Suzuki: Why are you nervously shifting your eyes around then? (laughs).

Fuyuno: I can at the very least handle the haunted house! _

Just Between You and Me Q: What's your Number One Point?

Fuyuno: Even on the location bus, I'll always be talking with someone, and after filming, I invite them to "go out somewhere." I have a strong desire to live each day to the fullest and make it more enjoyable.

Suzuki: I think I get the most sleep out of the five of us. On our days off, I sometimes sleep for more than 12 hours. The day before I have to get up early for a shoot, I go to bed at around 8 p.m., which makes it feel like I'm living the life of an elementary school student (laughs).

Kanda: One thing I've yet to show off is my jumping ability. I took pride in my standing long jumps during my time in high school, so I'm probably the best jumper out of everyone here. Another thing is the rubik's cube. I can solve it in less than a minute!

Matsumoto: My appetite. There's a corner on set where tea and sweets are served, and I often find myself over there (laughs). I especially love desserts and cream puffs, so I eat as many as I want.

Imamori: The ability to continue eating the same foods. For the past month, I've been following a diet of supermarket sashimi and a whole pack of strawberries (laughs). I never get sick of it, and will eat it every night before going to bed.

Back once more. This is gonna be a bit jumbled so I'll put each topic as a bulletpoint.

When it comes to subtitles I find it best to stick with Over-Time for what they’ve worked on and look to people who are more knowledgeable and watched the other series for what they haven’t done. Their subtitles are usually the ones my mutuals recommend and they’re softsubs so I don’t have to download separate raw files.

I am really excited for Gozyuger though. I don’t know if it’ll be a favorite but I’m really liking Hoeru and I think Rikuo looks interesting as well. I also think that the villains look pretty nice in terms of design as well. I’m not too into the anniversary series, but it could be fun. I’ll really miss Boonboomger, especially my favorite guys but they did drop the crossover trailer so there is joy in the future to behold still.

I feel like a majority of my ships have a common thread. I feel like the ones I favor have a lot of care and compassion within them, and sometimes it’s so small but means so much in the moment. I don’t know how to put it, but there’s quite a few pairs in toku that I feel really exhibit that well.

I actually have watched a little bit of Gekokujo Kyuji, but never got around to finishing it. I got distracted and got into a bit of a slump at the time, but I did like it from the bit I saw. I still want to finish it some time because I really do like Katsumi Hyodo’s work in it, but I just haven’t had the right atmosphere to dive back into it.

By the way, I noticed you changed your layout and icon, would there happen to be a reason for this? A new piece media you've enjoyed or something you've returned to?

hiiiii I apologize for the late reply. 😭 I had a lot going on but I finally got most of it sorted out yesterday. I do feel bad that you got matched with me </3 but please bear with me I can be efficient at times. 😭

I found Over-Time subs for most of what I've watched so I've been sticking with them too. 🥰 and yes! one thing I like about toku sub teams is that they encode subtitles into the video files; it's so convenient! I've always hated having to renaming files fgjkgfk but there have been times when I wanted to gif a scene and I couldn't rely on my memory to remember which epsidoe it was from. if I had like a separate sub file maybe I could just ctrl + f to search for the lines faster. I wonder if you ever experienced that pain of skimming through the entire series just to find that ONE scene too or you just take really great notes! 😭

if Gozyuger really brings back the animal mechas and aesthetics then that's exactly my vibes! 🫣 I don't think I ever asked you what kind of mechas you like, please let me know! and I already forgot everything that happened in the trailer of Gozyuger tbh; I have terrible memory. I can't talk about my impressions of any character yet.. 😭 but I'm eager to meet them and hope it will be a great season! and I'm excited for the crossover movie as well but I will have to finish King-Ohger before summer oh my... may time be on my side...

and LMAO it's fine it's ok. I think I hated the first two episodes of gekokuji so I know where you're coming from. but once I really developed an attachment to the characters everything just started to come together for me I guess! it's completely fine, Katsumi will always be there for us to adore. <3

and no reason in particular behind my decision to change my layout. I guess I just got bored of seeing the old header after months so I wanted something new.

Fuyuno: While Hoeru has a foul mouth and gives off the impression of being unapproachable, he's occasionally kind, and has a cute side that makes him a character who's prone to being teased.

Suzuki: Mio's normally like Hoeru, don't you think?

Kanda: He's quiet and cool. His way of speaking is abit blunt, which seems to also be similar.

Suzuki: He also has a pure heart, so his kindness can come out at any given moment.

Kanda: He and Hide are the same age, and they're always flirting with each other. Occasionally, the distance between him and us feels off (laughs). However, that changes drastically when it comes to his performance.

Fuyuno: I'm trying to be positively influenced by the atmosphere of the scene, and to react accordingly to everyone's performance.

Suzuki: Rikuo's a former super idol with an overconfident side. He's also putting in the work to justify that, and has a good side to him, that being his kindness. I try to be conscious of my idol like behavior, facial expressions, and speaking patterns.

Kanda: From his vibes to the way he speaks, everything about him is soft and gentle.

Matsumoto: It made me think that such good looking nice guys do exist. He's committed to listening to what others have to say. He's overflowing with kindness.

Kanda: It's amazing that we've gotten this far without him getting cocky over those visuals of his!

Suzuki: Thank you!

Kanda: Ryugi's an out of touch freak, and the only one who's a "Tega Sword follower." He's the oldest of the five, and although he's strong willed, he also has a mischievous side. I hope that I can find just the right balance in expressing that gap without overdoing his character.

Matsumoto: Kanda-san's like a leader. He invites us all to go out for meals together. I feel like we're more of a team now, and I'm really grateful that he creates such opportunities like that for us.

Imamori: He usually pulls us along and is reliable, but……he's abit of an airhead, isn't he?

Kanda: How did you know? I've always kept that hidden (laughs).

Imamori: It felt like you were doing your best to hide it.

Matsumoto: Kinjiro's a 17 year old high schooler. At his core, he's a serious person, but his goal is to become a "party person." It's interesting to see how his values don't match up with those around him. Since there's no character among the five of us who restlessly moves around, I thought I'd take charge of that position.

Imamori: He's surprisingly cool for someone with a cute face.

Fuyuno: I was gonna say the same thing (laughs). The composure he has makes it hard to believe that he's 19 years old, and he's also very good at giving compliments.

Matsumoto: I think I'm just conscious of trying to put my thoughts into words.

Imamori: Sumino-chan is cool, but she's a "high class detective" who'll use her cunningness as a weapon when she needs to. To create a gap between the two, I took it upon myself to play the role more characteristically. I'll watch anime and idols in order to study their cunningness.

Fuyuno: Maya-chan appears more mature on screen. She's always full of energy and makes the atmosphere around her pleasant.

Suzuki: The way she switches from her normal self is amazing.

Imamori: I'm just going along with the fun vibes everyone else helps create.

Fuyuno: Although the five members have widely different personalities, you'll be able to see each and every one of their human dramas. Enjoy this festive program, which also features tons of previous Sentai Reds! _

Sleeping Conditions on the Location Bus

Suzuki: Everyone has a particular way of sleeping, don't they? Masa-kun will lean forward with his neck bent at a 90 degree angle, while Mio doesn't sleep.

Fuyuno: It's true that I don't sleep.

Suzuki: Maya-chan tends to lean against the window, while Jin's head pokes out into the aisle (laughs).

Matsumoto: Something like that happens.

Imamori: Hide-kun's mouth hangs open.

Suzuki: Don't say that. I end up showing off a stupid face, huh?

Fuyuno: Everyone's probably looking at you.

Imamori: Kanda-san brings his own pillow, right?

Kanda: I get motion sickness easily, so if I look around for even a moment, I start feeling nauseous. That's why I use a pillow to keep my neck in place.

Suzuki: I'm the same way, so I get that!
