I did my hair last night using @curldazehaircare products!!! I love how the silky hydration detangling leave-in conditioner made it very easy & fast to detangle my hair, it was like the tangles melted away. The Glossy Shine Gel has a nice smell and really has my curls popping!!! You can find @curldazehaircare at your local @target #curldazehaircare #naturalhair #4a #4b #naturalcurlyhair #4ahair #4bhair #curlyhair #rockingmynaturalhair https://www.instagram.com/p/CgW9gfqO1QV0skvpXFqQS1ulQnQ8PQKF5T7jHU0/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

#haircare....I haven't been feeling my hair since the #proteinoverload towards the end of last year so I haven't been doing much to it other than moisturize. Yesterday was wash day and my hair is still shedding more than it usually does although it was not as bad as the beginning of month. The straw like feeling has reduced but we are yet to go back my usual soft strands that am always proud of🙈. After washing I didn't want to manipulate it a lot (and a little bit of laziness) so I just did four twists which I have pinned together to protect my ends and am planning for it to stay like that for a couple of days or till am in the moods of doing my usual smaller twists. ....... ....... ....... ....... #naturalista #rockingmynaturalhair #lengthretention #4chair #4chairdaily #protectivestyling #lowmanipulationstyles #naturallyshesdope #kenyannaturals #nairobinaturals https://www.instagram.com/p/B70LOhmg_hY/?igshid=n1ufov5s5flf

HOW TO BUILD YOUR CONFIDENCE WITH YOUR NATURAL HAIR
1. Learn how to care for your hair: Often times what limits us in being confidence in our hair is the absence of the know-how technique to care for it. Know what works for you and stick to it. It’s even best if you create a routine, it will help you be consistent.
2. Simplify the products you use: Don’t go overboard with products because sometimes it can be frustrating and immediately we think the problem is our hair. The best way to know if a product is good for your hair type and porosity is in how it feels when you use it or in how it felt after using it. Each time your hair should feel manageable and your curls should look like they are coming through (consistency should make them be popping).
3. Learn what hair style works for you: One thing that is constant with every human being and as a woman is change. We are constantly evolving and it is our duty to learn what works for us. It is how we learn to love ourselves as a woman and one of the ways we stay appreciating ourselves because when you look beautiful you feel beautiful. You can experiment a little with different hairstyles to build your confidence and then eventually rock your best pick.
4. Go out with it: It could be to a concert or to work or to the mall, just go out wearing your natural hair. The more you wear it out the more confidence you become with it. You might feel like everybody at work is staring or the couple who just passed you at the mall were saying something about you, but with time you realize it’s all in your mind and how beautiful your hair is.
5. Accentuate the other areas of your physical appearance: This can elevate your level of confidence and also make you not to focus solely on your hair. For example; If you love make up, then put on some powder, do your brow, throw in your favorite lipstick color and go girl. What do you love to wear? Are you a dressy girl or pants girl.? Do you love accessories? Because if you are confidence in your entire fit it automatically boost your confidence in your hair.
6. Do you boo: Someone will definitely not like the way you wear your hair or the way your natural hair looks. That’s okay. Don’t let it deter you. Focus on your worth. Know and believe you are beautiful. God gave you your hair, it is perfection. Remember that saying,’if you think you can or you can’t, you are right’. The power is always in you.

Someone commented that if her hair was like mine she would never braid it ever again.Usually when someone throws such a comment my way I usually go on a hairxplanation trying to convince them on how possible it for them to rock their hair but this time I didn't. Her comment reminded me of how I used to be that girl. That girl who didn't think that her hair was good enough due to all the _ve comments I received about my hair while growing up and so I keep it short. Her comment reminded me of how I used to admire and envy girls who I used to think had good hair.It reminded me of my cousin who once told me that my husband would become interested in girls out there who "make" their hair is I didn't do something about mine.It reminded of when I started to grow out my my hair and my first attempt on doing a puff and a close friend told me he didn't like the way I did my hair. What if I had given up then? Over the years I have shuttered the myths about my hair.I have learnt that it actually grows. That I don't have to put myself through pain while doing my hair just to fit into the status quo. That I can actually live without going into the salon after every month or so.That my hair actually loves water (no more panicking when it suddenly starts to rain). That I can live dandruff free and most importantly that my hair is BEAUTIFUL kinks and all. #itgrows#selflove #rockingmyfro #naturalhairstyles #4chair#naturalista#rockingmynaturalhair https://www.instagram.com/p/B37iKXpgAlU/?igshid=souguwclvtn5
