Do you struggle with Gynecomastia? . This patient, in his early 20's came to see Dr. Romanelli for a gynecomastia reduction.  He presented with desire to have a more athletic appearance of the chest. Unhappy with "breasts" that were resistant to diet and exercise. Examination demonstrated that there was a great excess of breast tissue and we recommended that we perform both liposuction and a surgical excision of this excess tissue. Surgery was performed in our ambulatory surgical suite in approx. 2 hours(with a private nurse by his side).  Wore compression shirts to flatten the chest contour for 10 days. Photos below are two months after gynecomastia reduction surgery. His postoperative photographs show a great improvement. He is now comfortable taking his shirt off at the beach. He was unhappy with the appearance of his chest and was not comfortable taking his shirt off at the beach. To give the best contour his surgery involved removing excess skin and breast tissue, as well as moving the nipple and areola, re-applying them as "free nipple" skin grafts.
