for me one of the best scenes in lone trail was when Rosmontis was calmed down by Ifrit, since the context behind it makes it so good. From what we know the only two people that can deal with Rosmontis when she's like that are A. Amiya who has weird empath power, and B, Logos who from what we've seen is very good at shutting down arts. Both of which making them exceptionally good at handling Rosmontis when her arts are out of control.
Ifrit has none of those things, but what she does have is empathy for what Rosmontis went through, having her own experience that's a lot like hers. They we're both put through horrible experiments with long lasting side affects in an attempt to turn them into super weapon nearly dying in the process for each of them. Both of them were also taken in by a new family (elite ops kal'tsit and later doctor for Rosmontis and Rhine fam for Ifrit With this family acting as an anchor for both of them. The two of them were essentially sacrifices for Columbia's scientific growth. And it's through these similar experiences that Ifrit is able to reach out to Rosmontis and calm her down with out any special powers just her empathy and a touch of tenacity.

The IS exclusive Healer Touch is pretty neat in general and I like her design quite a bit:
But my favorite thing about her is this voiceline of her's which is just so very over-the-top edgy to me in a way I think is hilarious. (respect):
It's even funnier when you think about how the Rhodes Island Elite Operators are basically Rosmontis' family and the influence they've definitely had on her.

As much as I'm enjoying the Doctor parent moments with Ifrit and Rosmontis, I am so glad that Hypergraph had Doctor show the kind of visceral anger one would feel if they found out that they were standing in front of a monster who inflicted horrific cruelty on a child and absolutely had no problem with retraumatizing that same child by trying to get them to recall the abuse they suffered/gaslighting them to justify the abuse. Like Hypergraph could've had Doctor ratio Loken Williams with some 5-D chess Talk No Justu, say some comforting words to Rosmontis, and move on with the plot.
But in that moment, Rosmontis wasn't an elite operator on standby awaiting orders. She was a scared child standing in front of her abuser and Doctor was an adult suddenly confronted with the reality of what this asshole represented to her.
Hypergraph letting Doctor process all that information and deciding that Loken Williams deserved to be left righted on the spot was very much appreciated. But I will always applaud the fact that they made it into a player interaction and let the player decide how Doctor should go to bat for Rosmontis. ❤️
