Social Structure

Fox society is largely built around four main ranks, the Ur, the dominant foxes of a skulk, the Tena, caretakers of the den, the Tiro, juveniles within the skulk, and Tiris, transient foxes with no skulk.

Ur - The den is ran by two foxes, the Ekur and Enur, the ekur is the head of the den, guarding the territory the most out of all of its residents. The enur is their second-in-command, they are in charge of the tena, as well as being the primary caretakers of the young of the den. .

Tena - The tena are unmated vixens within the den, typically these are the sisters of the Ur, though they may also be their daughters, or even tiris vixens who decided to join the skulk. They do most of the food gathering, den maintenance, and can typically be found babysitting the skulks tiro.

Tiro - The young of the skulk, any fox under the age of a year will fit under this category, they have no primary duties, and will typically spend their time playing or generally learning adult skills, taught by the whole skulk.

Tiris - Once a fox reaches one year of age they begin to leave their original skulk to form their own or to find a mate. These skulkless foxes are called tiris, and will typically wander quite far from their original homes. Skulks are generally pretty welcome to having tiris stay with them temporarily should they need a den, however males are expected not to linger, though vixens may be invited to join the skulk if their behavior is respectful.

Naming System

Fox kits are named at 4 weeks, typically given names of flora surrounding their dens, as foxes are found all over the continent their names can vary quite a lot. Ex. Goldenrod, Pasque, Ficus

Due to the plentiful nature of their species they will take on a skulk name for further identification within their own species, this name is taken by all foxes within the skulk. These names usually include two parts and will draw inspiration from their territory, or a trait the ur find particularly admirable. Ex. Rowanleaf for a skulk living close to a rowan tree, or Broadclaw, if the ur are particularly adept at fighting. Tiris foxes will usually drop their skulk name and not give themselves a new one until their new den is created.

Some foxes who have particularly strong pride for their birthplace will give themselves titles relating to their home, alongside their skulk name, Ex. Frogbit Broadclaw of the Pines, though this is uncommon and many foxes see this as unnecessary vanity.

Eclipse is the mate of Gingerstar, who’s the leader of ThunderClan!

they are gay and happily in love <3 Gingerstar is bisexual and Eclipse is lesbian

Gingerstar is friends with Blizzardstar, leader of StormClan :)

AU Synopsis: The five clans discover three clans living near the old SkyClan’s ravine, StormClan, StoneClan, and SunClan.

there was one other clan but imma change it to only those three

Gingerstar was a role that i made up called ambassador, for ThunderClan, which basically meant she traveled around the clans and territory and stuff and relayed messages, basically a messenger. She discovered the three new clans too while on a mission. She was offered the deputy position multiple times but turned it down for a while because of that role. Gingerstar met Eclipse too, and brought her back to her clan after she ran away from her parents on a farm.

StormClan was created by a cat named Soaringhawk, who was a SkyClan cat in the old forest territory. He left when SkyClan was kicked out and created his own clan.

StoneClan was created by a former ThunderClan cat, Adderstrike/star. In Blizzardstar’s apprentice time their leader is Boulderpelt/star. Blizzardstar is friends with Snakeeyes/star, the leader after. They became friends when the former StormClan cats that fled when the coup happened came to StoneClan for help.

SunClan was already there a long time ago, created by a rogue who had heard of the ancient Clans. They have a very interesting line of leaders, but I don’t remember what their creator’s name was. However, notable leaders were Badgerstar, then Lynxstar, Badgerstar’s apprentice and mate of Honeystar, the next leader who killed him because he had become a tyrant and was… a shitty cat, like Badgerstar. Honeystar had another mate after, who became the next leader. Their leader is Flamestar in Blizzardstar’s time.

There’s also a rogue ‘clan’ called DarkClan living near those three as well. They killed a lot of StormClan, Blizzardstar lost three lives.

This AU was based on a ton of rps I did 6 years ago. Blizzardstar was created 6-7 years ago.

RIVERFROST — warrior of the Forest Order.

The ambitious hero type; very optimistic and enthusiastic. Wants to be the best warrior and, one day, leader; holds her Order in a very high esteem. Not particularly close to anyone, despite being friendly– she simply finds it… hard to connect. Rifi is naturally curious, but the environment of the Orders is not always kind to her type, and she’d learned to draw within the lines as a result. She can often be contrarian, inquisitive of those she disagrees with but scrutinizing the beliefs she shares in fear of it coming back to bite her. Unfortunately, her inability to be honest with others or herself have left her alone a lot in life.

RELATIONSHIPS:

Daughter of Vervainfall and niece of Violetsand.

Younger sister of Ravineweb.

Never knew either of her grandparents, Skysnap or Dawnblaze.

Mentor was Lightningcrash.

Has complicated feelings towards Cherryspring.

Mentor was the deputy before Shrikewind and after Sparrowstrike. Lightningcrash was a very talented and well-respected warrior, one that played an insurmountable hand in freeing them from Shadedgale’s leadership. The older molly’s revolutionary ideas and creative mind didn’t seem to pass on to her apprentice, to the disappointment of some and the relief of others. Perhaps in a different environment, Riverfrost would’ve taken to Lightningcrash’s philosophy like a fish to water.

Beef with Cherryspring, because Rifi had always felt a bit overshadowed by her. Ravineweb never left her side, she was the cool older sister to Rowanleaf and Dewpetal, and she was Creekshadow (or Shallowlily’s) mentor; hell, even Vervainfall and Violetsand fawned over her sister’s mate! A good word for it might be envy, for a reason that Riverfrost assumes has to do with how well-liked Chespi is by her Ordermates— but that might not be the root of the matter.

Raised by her mother, Vervainfall, and uncle, Violetsand. Definitely compartmentalized their deaths somewhat; in the Forest Order, funerals are treated as more of a festival– but not exactly in a healthy way. The original intention of these parties was to celebrate a cat’s life rather than mourn their deaths, but the sentiment has become muddled since Shadedgale and Plumpetal’s reigns— now, it’s expected to just move on from death without taking time to process, as casualties were so common when they were entrenched in war. As a result, Riverfrost is still able to remain naive despite having all the cats closest to her die off.
