hey mamas 🙇♀️ for the “get to know your fic writer” — 3 , 4 , 6 , 11 (cause i need YOU to put me on YOUR fics 🤭) , 13 , 16 (cause im nosy….) , 21 , 23 & 24 (help a hg out), 25 (so i can glaze you), 32 , 39 , 59 , 60 , 64 , 65 (!!!)
okay i’ll get out of here now…

HEYY 🤩 ...i got this notif earlier and saw the no. of questions and decided to eat dinner first bc i needed to be SEATED and with my laptop out ❤️ you came to the right place bc im president and mayor of yap city
— 3. describe the creative process of writing a chapter/fic
i have like a little template in my drafts with my basic layout (like title, prologue, warnings, pairing etc and so on) and i just keep it to copy and paste for a new fic. and underneath the header and info section, i just outline messy dot points. and each dot point gets turned into a few paragraphs or a scene. and i always have some typa thesaurus open 😭
— 4. where do you find inspiration for ideas
oouh!! mostly song titles i think, i always use them as a jumping point. or actually i really love pinterest, and web-weaving type of posts when it comes to themes i wanna explore (mostly in sfw fics, as opposed to like short smut) 😁
— 6. do you have your work beta'd / how is this important to your process?
nope 😭 my drafts are always super messy and all over the place and im always a little self conscious esp since i jump between ideas and dialogue. BUT i am always yapping in peoples dms and talking abt ideas anyway or getting dialogue checked for clarity...
— 11. link your three favourite fics rn
omg! rent-a-dilf by @screampied i found it sooo charming and effortlessly engaging and also super fun even tho i've never played the sims.
i forgot to like this and add it to my queue so i took an hour to find this particular one, but what you know by @starmapz sukuna and reader are so well characterised and incredibly written! i also loved little yuuji and choso's cameos :(
and they were roommates by @sugoroo i loved it so bad, so EXCELLENT and the tension and smut had me on the edge of my seat. choso's made me laugh 😭
— 13. whats a common writing tip you always follow?
honestly it feels like a cop-out answer but i always try to remember 'unlearn shame' in my head. like when im writing, like for no reason, i get a bit embarrassed or self aware or im overthinking a sentence?? i just have to remember that it is just never that deep....😭
however, a better answer i think would be that for 99% of my fics (so excluding very short fluff, or straight up jackhammering smut) i always always do worldbuilding first. my favourite authors are j.r.r tolkien and george rr martin so middle earth/westerosi levels of high fantasy are massive inspirations when it comes to the grand scheme of creating a world for my characters to interact in.
also i rlly love mythology, folktales and medieval history so they always play a role in how i write or treat common themes. i think its super interesting and poignant at how some stories survive thousands of years and resonate across different cultures, and they remain classics for a reason <333 if that makes sense
like okay say! even in fics that aren't a part of some royal/fantasy/myth au right, like idk say im writing about gojo dying (rip king 😰) its obviously set within the jjk world in 2018, but i would try to see how the following works express the same theme of grief, battle, leaving a loved one behind:
the death of sigurd in the volsunga saga in norse myths
patroclus and achilles in the illiad
a medieval french epic called the song of roland, where roland's death is felt so strongly by his fiancee that she dies
tristan and isolde (tristan being mortally wounded n knowing that he will leave isolde behind, and she succumbs to grief)
the japanese folklore tale of the warrior tomoe gozen, and how she mourns her lord and lover
— 16. how many fic ideas are u nurturing? share one of them!
29! at the moment 😭 and watch me genuinely write like...2... but one of them that i havent even drafted much out yet, towards the end of the list is like geto x reader long fic (prob will have smut bc 😇) but its gonna be an alternative universe where reader is considered a saint/icon/mouthpiece of the gods and he's been marked for death (a warrior? or smth idk)
— 21. would you ever collaborate with another writer for a story?
i've never done it before but ofc! is this the start of user curtins and user creamflix collab.....
— 23. best writing advice for other writers?
sometimes u have to make sure you're sitting on your own and reading that dialogue out loud, or mouthing it. i'm writing shit and then speaking it afterwards. and i cant even stand to hear it bc no way would anyone ever say that.
— 24. worst writing advice anyone ever gave you?
you can't start a sentence with 'and' like wtf okay....who said that. english is made up, all words are made up no one gaf if its not proper english, im allowed to do desi repatriations like this ig
— 25. what fic do you wish you got more of a response one?
hmm honestly, i did have an answer for this at first like 'oh yeah this one xyz i wish it got more notes' but that being said i feel like there's none that i feel truly flopped on par with how im improving writing and getting more comfortable. but! if i had to choose: goo goo muck #1 with the minotaur au because i rlly put some thought into how i could incorporate sukuna, yuji, and yuji's execution with the myth of the beast trapped in the maze.
and ditto! i think its my longest fic so far 😭 and it took me so long to plan out a timeline from childhood to gojo's death
— 32. name three of your favourite fanfic writers?
it would be poor form and incredibly remiss of me to not say user @creamflix 🤭 i really love how ur dialogue flows, and the way you describe scenes make me feel like i'm really there (a+ for me)
also @tonycries simply because every time i try my hand at smut, it takes me 4 days to think of something new, and i'm always wondering on how to reword shit so i'm not writing the same thing over and over, but they keep it soooo fresh and new with every fic and soooo well written!!
@kurooh i always find their smut fics sooo creative and fun, and their recent double fantasy fic was SAUUUUUR good!
— 39. share a snippet from a wip!
nay! mind you, this isn't even proofread so its still incredibly basic and thesaurus.com has not come out....but i tried a mildly different inspo approach and header. its very backstory and angst based for sukuna regarding his childhood, but sweet at the end i promise :(( IM CRYING. im seeing mistakes in this already, but i needed to give uraume my they/them baddie a cameo later in it
— 59. does anyone in your personal life know that you write fic? if not, would you tell anyone?
im cryinggggg. def not, unfortunately i can't let this get in the way of the public brand #coolgirl but it would go something like this
— 60. have you had a writer that you admire comment on your fic?
🫡 @madamechrissy who's writing my fave bridgerton fic, with duke!gojo commented on my vacation fic and i really did a giggle and kick in the air 😭
— 64. something you love to see in smut?
hmmmm my favourite thing is like when it isn't just pure smut if that makes sense, like setting, atmosphere, or cute banter is incorporated or clever wordplay. like you can feel the vibe of like where its set idk 😭
— 65. tell us what you're most looking forward to writing – in your current project, or a future project?
i really want to improve and become more confident in different genres, like better smut that flows more without me having to stop and stare at a wall for ten minutes each time, or super cute fluff <333333
#answered#this is soooo long but i love that u asked these...made me actually think properly#im gonna need to make mutual tags for everyone omggg

Oh... you thought my hyperfixation was over didn't you ... WELL THINK AGAIN! >:D
Currently updated list of different Steve sagas I have watched or I'm currently watching:
1) LOTB (Legend of the Balancers) (first one I've come across, where it all started, thanks for the hyperfixation :D)
2) RR (Ruined Reality) (I'm not saying I have favourites but...)
3) Steve Saga (The one by EarthlyCrown)
4) Bedrock Rising
5) OQP (Ore Quest Prime)
6) Crimson Life Origins, (if anything happens to the triplets I'll throw hands, for legal reasons, this is a joke)
7) Fragmented Realities (AH-! I FINALLY FOUND IT AGAIN >:D),
8) A Dark Soul (ok maybe I slightly do have favourites)
9) Rainbow Quest, (sobs aggressively in Orange Rainbow Steve)
10) Steve Legends, (still sobbing over Seer and Colle? Yes.)
11) Twisted Rainbow, (I'm literally obsessed with Sabre's insane arc)
12) Before We Fell
13) Elemental Quest
14) Elemental Quest Air
15-16) Elemental Quest Commander (I put them as 15-16 because I watched both Air and Ocean povs)
17) The Dark Steve Saga (honestly??? Slay. I would too sell my soul to be the mc lol)
18) The First Saviour (I can totally see nothing will go wrong here, what?? Noooo definitely not going to have a traumatized mc)
19) Shattered Origins
20) Fragments
21) Alex Era (*sighs* I have given into the Darkside and went back to watching it)
22) Tale of the Spirit Walker (it was funky, I like funky)
23) Lost transfiguration (the mc naiveness is hurting me, also he's definitely being played by Plague, COME ON. IT'S LITERALLY PLAGUE.)
24) Steve World
24) Astral Origins
25) Elemental Rising. (You guys are evil)
26)The Fallen Hero
Series that I'm unsure if I'll finish for...reasons
Steve Saga (yes, Sabre's one this time)
Purple Legends
Series that I want to watch:
Elemental Quest (oh yes, all of them, leave me be) and literally whatever else I can find >:3 your recommendations, hand them over.
Update: I watched them >:3
This should probably be my wake up call that I may be slightly obsessed over the funky Minecraft men, but whatever.
It's fine.
The Steve-verse is full of limitless possibilities.
I hate the fact that I have an idea for a storyline that I'm never going to make.
Pain.
Why do I do this to myself you may ask?
i.dont.know.
I just do.
If only I had the motivation to make some funky animations or animatics about the silly goofy traumatized Minecraft men.
Hand your motivation over. Now.
Oh... and another thing... I've watched... many, many Minecraft roleplays in my life... so.many. and let's not talk about the animated series??? Like hello?????? Some of them are just ✨ the urge to make fanart is strong.
But studying for two upcoming tests is stronger TwT
Back to make my brain explode I go.

For the ask game: 7, 8, 11, 12, 16! —— your favorite puta 🙂↕️🕷️
haha, amiga <3
I'm assuming these are for hotd/asoiaf related...
7. what character did you begin to hate not because of canon but because how the fandom acts about them?
-this is a tough one, there is one particular character. I will not say who it is cause it will get a lot of ppl upset (since I've been blocked by few team green stans)
8. common fandom opinion that everyone is wrong about
-it blows my mind how even George RR Martin, himself said that Daenerys IS the prince that was promised and yet there are others within the fandom that really believe with their whole chest and balls that Jon Snow is azor ahai.
11. number of fandom-related words you've filtered
-none haha
12. the unpopular character that you actually like and why more people should like them
-VAEGON TARGARYEN AND SAERA TARGARYEN!!! <- my two favs
16. you can't understand why so many people like this thing (characterization, trope, headcanon, etc)
-the first one that comes to mind is alysmond. why? because I do not feel like their relationship is based on love, but of survival. my girl alys saw her whole family get killed by a one eyed maniac. she had to use her gifts to survive and play the game of thrones.

Hi (:
I don't know if these are silly questions or not, but I have some little league au questions. Are all the numbers on the kids' jerseys random, or is there thought behind what character gets what number?
Also, I remember you saying the reason Julia's hair is so short is because a raptor team member accident cut it off, but do you think Julia hates her hair that short or will she start liking it.
Lastly, is Zee's hair that short because they are a kid, and they haven't had that long to grow it out, or do they just prefer it that short?
Sorry if this is a lot and I hope you have a nice day
Hi :) Thank you for the questions!!! I’m always okay with answering questions, don’t apologize. :) /gen
Some of the jersey numbers have specific meanings, yes!! Some of them are just based on numbers that real hockey players have for different roles on the ice.
Some of the hockey number info might be wrong, I am admittedly still learning a lot about the sport myself. I’ve done a ton of research and such, but I could still definitely be wrong ajshsjsg
Here’s a list of their numbers and their meanings:
Wayne (17) - Same as canon.
Raj (8) - Same as canon.
Bowie (2) - He canonically won two crowns for Prom King & Queen. I think the fact that he describes himself as “going for the crown” when talking about winning Total Drama was interesting and it says a lot about his character, I think, in regards to how he views winning.
Scary Girl (11) - Based on hockey numbers!! She wanted to be a forward, but she plays as a goalie typically.
Priya (6) - Not counting RR, there have been six previous Total Drama seasons. I thought the reference was fitting for Priya.
MK (31) - Based on hockey numbers!! She plays as a goalie.
Ripper (10) - His status as the oldest kid on his team is important to him in this AU, so the fact that his number correlates with his age seemed fitting.
Axel (7) - The number seven looks a little bit like an axe, and I think Axel would appreciate that ajshsjsg
Nichelle (16) - It’s a reference to the fact that she became famous at the age of sixteen in canon.
Millie (3) - Her character arc was completed when she finished third.
Chase (13) - Thirteen is an unlucky number. Chase causes misfortune for a lot of people in canon.
Emma (15) - Based on hockey numbers!! She plays as a forward.
Julia (4) - Finishing fourth was a huge betrayal for her canonically.
The only characters that haven’t been assigned a number yet are Zee, Damien, and Caleb. I’m willing to take suggestions for their numbers!!
Julia eventually likes having short hair but she hates it at first.
Zee is still growing out his hair.

In today's episode of shit to listen to while writing: I present a snippet from the ULTRAKILL soundtrack. This game OST fucks, and it fucks hard. Which is really quite fitting, because I'm not playing around either. 21K words are getting slammed on RR today, so have a happy Memorial LABOR Day and enjoy chapters 9, 10 & 11 getting posted on RR!
Also, as a quick aside! I am searching for an artist who is good at producing architectural and landscape style art! I have a small portfolio of reference images, and am in need of cover art for The Tower of Dreams!

"Clay St. West of Kearny SF 1873 - First Cable Car in the World" In this elevated view west on Clay Street to the Clay St. Cable RR cable car at Kearny Street Terminus, Portsmouth Square can be seen on the right. Signage for the R. Cutlar Dentist, H. Traube watchmaker and jeweler at left. This photo is a detail from Carleton Watkins' stereo card number 2368 (Variant) under the original title: "Clay St. Hill R.R., San Francisco, Cal. Run by A.S. Hallidie's patent Endless Steel Wire Rope and Gripping Attachment. Overcomes an Elevation of 307 feet in a length of 2800 feet. Worst grade, one foot in six" (from the Marilyn Blaisdell Collection).
Chinatown at the Advent of the Cable Car
This year San Francisco marks the sesquicentennial of its cable car system. In the late 19th century, San Francisco experienced rapid urbanization and faced the challenge of its hilly terrain. Traditional horse-drawn streetcars struggled to navigate the steep inclines, necessitating an innovative transportation solution.
In the predawn hours of August 2, 1873, Andrew Smith Hallidie introduced the first successful cable car system in the world. The cable cars utilized an underground cable mechanism to propel the cars along tracks, overcoming the city's hilly landscape. This new mode of transportation revolutionized urban mobility and played a pivotal role in San Francisco's development.
Historian Phil Choy wrote about the Clay Street cable car terminus at Portsmouth Square as follows:
“Following Andrew S. Hallidie’s successful test-run of the first cable car on August [2], 1873, horse-drawn cars were replaced with a cable car on Clay Street. Thereafter, the Chinese called Clay Street ‘Mo Mah Lie Ch’eh,’ which literally means ‘no-horse-drawn-car’ [冇馬拉車; canto: “mou5 maa5 laai1 ce1″]. Starting from the top of Leavenworth Street, the line ended at a turntable at the bottom of Clay and Kearny Streets, to send the car back up the hill.”

California and Montgomery streets, c. 1889. Photographer unknown (from the Martin Behrman Negative Collection / Courtesy of the Golden Gate NRA, Park Archives). The view is west on California across Montgomery, as an Omnibus Railway Co. horsecar #11 passes the Parrott Building, or Parrott Block (1852, Architect Stephen Williams) seen in background. A Chinese man is walking south at the northeast corner of the intersection. The signs for the offices of Equitable Life and Dr. William F. McNutt at 405 Montgomery are visible at right.
The introduction of cable cars in San Francisco had a profound impact on the Chinese community. Several cable car lines conveniently passed through Chinatown, allowing Chinese residents to access transportation. The cable cars provided a reliable means of travel for the community, connecting them to other neighborhoods and employment opportunities initially for domestic workers serving the mansions atop Nob Hill and eventually throughout the city.

Clay Street Cable Car, c. 1873. Photograph by Carleton Watkins and published as “Pacific Coast. 2369″ and by Taber Photo (from the Marilyn Blaisdell collection). In this startling image, patrons and car operators can be seen posing on or alongside cable cars on Clay near Jones Street, except for at least two Chinese men seated in the car at left. Their faces were lost to history because one man placed his hat over his face, while the other inclined his head to avoid the camera’s lens. Watkins' image may be the only extant image showing urban pioneer Chinese actually riding an early cable car, possibly to their jobs as domestic servants for the mansions on Nob Hill.
Watkins' stereo card bears the legend: “Clay Street Hill R.R., San Francisco, Cal. Run by A.S. Hallidie's patent Endless Steel Wire Rope and Gripping Attachment. Overcomes an Elevation of 307 feet in a length of 2800 feet. Worst grade, one foot in six. 2369” Photograph by Carleton E. Watkins (from the collection of the San Francisco Public Library).

“At the Corner of Dupont and Jackson Streets” c. 1896 -1906. Photograph by Arnold Genthe (from the Genthe photograph collection, Library of Congress, Prints and Photographs Division). A cable car on the Jackson Street line can be seen at right. “Two girls wearing embroidered holiday wear are crossing the street,” as historian Jack Tchen wrote in his book about Genthe’s Chinatown photos. “The store behind them is a ‘Chinese and Japanese Curios’ store located at 924 Dupont Street, southwest corner. The good-quality, expensive vases in the window display and the sign in English indicate that the store catered especially to tourists. Some such stores were owned by Japanese, but the main reason that both Chinese and Japanese goods were sold in the same store was that the general public could not distinguish between the two cultures.”
(NOTE: Both Genthe’s identification of the intersection of Dupont and Jackson streets and Tchen’s location of the address at 924 Dupont appear INCORRECT for several reasons: (1) Genthe’s photo of the upslope depicts the west or odd-numbered side of the street, and the intersection’s southwest corner; (2) Prior to 1906, the building bearing an address of 943 Dupont occupied the southwest corner of the intersection with Jackson Street;(3) business directories of the time indicated that the Tong Yuen Lai confectionary operated at the 943 address during the 1890’s (and by the 1905 publication of the Chinatown phone directory, the Jong Mee Cigar Store had either co-located or operated solely at the address); (4) local transit historian Emiliano Echeverria observes that Jackson Street served as a horse-drawn streetcar line but such tracks were removed "and 1894 was when they were removed,” which preceded Genthe’s photographic work in San Francisco; (5) the storefront of, and its occupancy by, a curios store at the southwest corner of the intersection of Sacramento and Dupont streets was apparent as confirmed by the city’s July 1885 Chinatown map locating a “C[hinese] merchandise & pawn store” at 625 Dupont Street; (6) the storefront is a closematch to the one seen at the intersection of Dupont and Sacramento streets appearing in the upper-left background of Genthe’s photo “Carrying New Year Presents” (included below); and (7) business and phone directories from 1883 through 1905 showed the Quong Wah Lee & Co. at the 625 Dupont Street address and classified by the Langley directory of 1883 as selling “Fancy Goods - Chinese and Japanese.”

“B 3096 Clay Street Hill, Chinatown, San Francisco” c. 1886. Photograph by Isaiah West Taber (from the Marilyn Blaisdell Collection). A cable car can be seen on the hill just behind the head of the young woman in the photo. She appears to have been a servant to the family of prominent merchant Lew Kan. The boy in the photo is Lew Bing Yuen, the older son, who also appears in Genthe’s well-known photo “Children of the High Class.”
The cable cars lines had played a significant role in fostering economic growth within Chinatown before the earthquake and fire of 1906 that destroyed the neighborhood. After the transformation of post-1906 Chinatown into the “Oriental City,” this urban transit network remained crucial to the neighborhood’s integration with the citywide economy. Tourists and locals utilized the cable car system, and Chinese-owned businesses along, and in proximity to, the cable car lines experienced increased patronage. This urban mobility represented by the cable car system, even after its reduction to only two lines, has sustained the Chinese community from it pioneer beginnings to this day.

“San Francisco Cable Car Lines at the Fullest Extent of Operation (1890s)” (courtesy of the Cable Car Museum). As the Cable Car Museum advises here, “Clay Street Hill Railroad was the sole cable car company for 4 years. A former horsecar company, Sutter Street Railroad, developed its own version of Hallidie's patented system and began cable service in 1877, followed by California Street Cable Railroad -1878, Geary Street, Park & Ocean Railroad -1880, Presidio & Ferries Railroad -1882, Market Street Cable Railway -1883, Ferries & Cliff House Railway -1888, and Omnibus Railroad & Cable Company -1889.” At its peak, the San Francisco companies had laid “53 miles of track stretching from the Ferry Building to the Presidio, to Golden Gate Park, to the Castro, to the Mission.”

In this northwesterly view toward the 700-block of Washington Street, a man walks a child through Portsmouth Square, and a cable car can be seen in the background. By the 1890s, a cable car line had been built on Washington Street, running along the northern edge of the square.
For the Chinese families who began to populate the eastern slopes of Nob and Russian Hills (and the garment workers in the small sewing factories along Pacific Avenue west of Stockton Street), the cable cars served as their principal transit system until the establishment of bus routes such as the Pacific Avenue shuttle (championed by Phil Chin and his Chinatown Transportation Improvement Project crew a half-century ago), and now known as the no. 12 Folsom/Pacific line.

A group of women (at least one of whom has bound feet) disembarks from a cable car in 1908. Photographer unknown (from the collection of the Chinese Historical Society of America). For women with bound feet (including great grandmothers on both sides of my family), the cars represented not only convenience but a necessary travel option for the residents navigating the hilly topography of San Francisco Chinatown.
The clang of cable car bells and the snap of the cable in the tracks remain an integral part of the soundtrack for the several generations of Chinese children who grew up in the greater Chinatown area.
Cable cars symbolized the vital role of urban transportation in fostering connections and opportunities -- providing convenient travel options for the residents of Chinatown, maintaining the neighborhood’s economy during hard times, and tying the segregated Chinese community to the larger city.
