“The Real Sun is Long Gone, I am just the Moon”

In the end, I’m just the Moon. The real Sun is long gone.

What divides fantasy from reality? Which is the waking world? All good questions I have pondered in my own haven of dreams. Dreams are a different form of reality after all, they conjure up the most intimate and sometimes hidden desires that may not be expressed in the real world. Dreams are a mysterious and fickle thing, despite the research the Akademiya has done it still remains uncharted territory.

Why do we dream? Do dreams provide insight into someone’s mind? How much can you learn about a person through their own mind palace? Oh, I think I got a little bit ahead of myself there. Now where to start…hmm..

When my eyes for the first time awakened into this world, the skies were bathed in red and everything around me took on a monochrome tone. It was as if the sky had eaten the sun and the moon and what was left was a dark abyss-- a dark future.

The tree hummed with life but timidly and apprehensively because of the lurking danger just below the ley lines. That much information I was able to gather, through the roots that support the entire system. I am from the branch. I am connected to this world so wholly and so completely that it was startling and yet at the same time comforting.
