Hetalia RusAme shippers, can someone explain to me why one of their pairing names is "Waiting for Spring"? I understand "Mutually Assured Devotion" came from "Mutually Assured Destruction" and "Space Gays" is from "Space Race" but what about the other one?

alfred has been chased by the cops for 1: settign the forest on fire several times and 2: using a lawnmower to travel on the open roads.

francis and arthur have a rivalry where whey see who can roast each other better. they stick their heads out of their oppsoing windows and point out the other's flaws, they'vre gotten so many noise complaints for this lol)

the only way that the neighborhood knows that kiku is still alive is that every week yao drops off some fresh groceries at his door and immediately an arm pushes the door open, grabs the groceries and then dissapears back into the void.

yao orgsnises like all of events and cooks for all of them.

roderick is playing his piano at like 3 am just to freak out gilbert and alfred.

gilbert helps decorate for like all the events.

arthur has a massive garden of flowers and francis keeps stealing his roses.

alfred is one of the only neighbors that go into ivan's house and come out alive.

ivan is the chillest neighbor and will tell the neighborhood kids fairytales if they hsve the guts to talk to him (the kids who have experienced this arent scared of him anymore)

ludwig's crazy dogs are actually pretty chill.

feliciano makes a pizza for every new neighbor who moves in.

romano grows tomatos and will beat you with a broom if you steal any one of them.

alfred likes to feed the birds.

we're pretty sure alfred hasn't committed any federal crimes.

matthew lives next to kiku and just has a polar bear that the neighborhood just accepted.

Aph America head-cannons

when someone goes on a long trip Alfred gets worried and lonely so whenever they come back he does the flappy hands stim, squeals, and tackles them in a hug, sometimes this even happens at meetings and arthur used to experience this a lot whenever he came back home from a long trip at sea. all of Alfred's friends have experienced this though Alfred has learned to avoid tackling certain friends (mainly Kiku and Gilbert ) for their health.

Alfred was especially happy when mattie got independence and he saw him again.

also for my fellow rusame shippers: he used to have to hold it in til they weee alone but after everyone found out about them dating Alfred greeted him this way every time ( Francis finds it adorable how Alfred slowly became more gentle with his tackle hugs to make sure he didn’t further damage Ivan’s back.

I also have a headcannon that every state and region is personified which means

A. Alfred takes care of 50 dumbasses ( most of which are children).

B. Alaska is alive and is Russia and Americas daughter. ( maybe because they were doing some sort of genetics experiment idk they’re scientists too btw)

also they probably worked out a good custody thing because Alfred knew what it was like to be separated from his family and Russia wanted her to have a nice upbringing so they both made a deal that they can visit each other ( frequently in Alfred country because unbeknownst to Ivan’s gov him and Alfred filled out marriage forms years ago so he can stay as long as he likes) ( though they plan to be officially married with a ceremony and stuff when gay marriage is legalized in russia…. alfred knows how hard ivan is working for it).

C. Alaska totally developed this habit from Alfred and now Russia gets tackle hugs from both ( he is actually very pleased with this outcome, he will never turn down affection and always enjoys cuddles and returning affection with teddy bear hugs and cuddles) ( he also noticed that Alfred like being picked up so whenever he sees him he will always make sure to pick him up whether it is bridal style, piggyback, or picking him up by his waist and twirling him )

and one final head cannon :

alfred is really good at dancing , name any dance from around the world, he knows it; same goes for Ivan. it is because of this that a-lot of their date nights end in them dancing on the kitchen , Alfred’s head tucked into Ivan’s neck or chest and Ivan’s head on Alfred’s, or at a club showing up professional dancers with crazy tricks , or Alfred dancing in drag wearing impossibly high heels, and on one memorable occasion when Alfred was very drunk, quite the impressive pole dancing performance ( tho Ivan was tempted, he took care of his drunk boyfriend and they had fun in the morning when he could fully consent)

Headcanon that Ivan and Alfred keep these sewn into the inside of their jackets to remind them of their reunion in space, a literal love among the stars

personal hc lol this can be amerus or it can be platonic lollllll

then while obama is president alfred kicks down ivan's door and busts in with a badly made birthday cake (he made it himself) covered in chocolate sunflowers with a party hat on his head(sunflower patterned) and behind him china slowly sneaks inside carrying crates labeled fireworks and ivan is so suprised that he cries. And also they set off the fireworks in the yard and they are also sunflower themed and alfred tells ivan to send his birthday invites to him directly and then doodles a sunflower on his cheek and then yao goes "sheesh white people" and they have a little sleepover and then the next day ivan waves them goodbye as yao and alfred walk back to alfreds car. and then ivan starts cleaning up and realizes that they left him a vase of sunflowers and he cries out of happiness

Alfred totally does flap flaps with his sleves when he's happy, and will often buy baggy clothes just for this purpose( or borrow russias) everyone who sees the flap flaps is either confused or find it adorable
