The greatness of a culture can be found in it's festivals. That's quite true to Ann Eboso the founder of @rusingafestival. She is our #WCW today. This avid reader is quite passionate in all things culture, she keeps striving to grow the festival. The Rusinga Festival is a two day event that seeks to create awareness and preserve as well as showcase the Abasuba culture to the world. She is the reason we attended the 7th edition of the festival in December 2018. The event is one that will have you emersed in the Abasuba Culture through dance, storytelling, boats competitions that included women, wrestling that's showcases strength, food and tug of war among other activities. Rusinga Cultural Festival takes place every last weekend before Christmas.  This year 2019, the event takes place from 19th -21st December.  This is an ideal opportunity to sample and indulge in the Suba culture, as well as learn more about the Islands of Rusinga.
