About paper and pens. Here’s the background story: I’m in the supermarket. It’s chock a block. I just want to finish. And then....I see a lady who has bought the WHOLE RECIPE BOOK (it’s hard cover!) and that’s her shopping list. And I see the young hip couple who have their shopping list loaded on their smart phones. And I look at my list. It’s washi taped, written in coloured ink, doodled. And I began to wonder about pen and paper and it’s place in my/our world. 2018 is creeping up and generally New Years resolutions are the order of the day. The thing is I don’t really believe in New Years resolutions. Somehow they seem so transient me; because the are only ever made on the eve of a new year? Come next year you make a new lot again? It’s begs the question: did you keep the last lot? I prefer stops and starts and habits. Longer lasting and available for renewal all year round 🤣😊😘❤️. About the menu....I have four men in the house and me. I do enjoy cooking at this time of year. Probably because I have the time. As it’s summer here; school is out for 8 weeks so traditionally most families take time out.
