FRIDAY FEATURE- Michelle Colebourn said this about this beautiful and touching re-use of her late husbands boots. These are my late husband's boots. They've been guarding my home for the last four and a half years. It's right by my front door. I struggled with letting go of his footwear for some reason. So, I plant them up seasonally, either filling with soil (after lining with a plastic bag) and planting directly onto the body of the boot...or I'll put a pot straight in the boot, sat a top of some support filler like said soil or stones. The chair I got for free on a local item rescue site on FB. The base gave out this year, so I've put an iron fire griddle there, that is meant for baking outdoor pancakes on. Weighted down with large rocks and with a whittled and painted Tonttu (Finnish Elf) for additional door security.
