Beste gerecht in 2019 (waar, wat, wie?): Sowieso de Impossible Burger, spectaculaire uitvinding en cruciaal bij het voornemen om minder vlees te eten. Bij Osen Izakaya in L.A. heb ik het lekkerst Japans ooit gegeten (is dat een zin?) en in Amsterdam zijn Rijsel, Breda, Scheepskameel en La Fiorita mijn favoriet.

Meest memorabel moment van euforie onder invloed in 2019?: Mijn veertigste (!) verjaardag met mijn beste vrienden gevierd alsof ik 20 werd. De euforie was real. De kater ook.

Het 50-jarig huwelijk van mijn ouders was ook heerlijk emo op een alcoholische manier.

Meest aangename verrassing in 2019?: Da Baby en Da Opposites.

Ik heb voor het eerst ....... In 2019?: Eindelijk seks gehad!

Beste reis(spot) in 2019?: Los Angeles en Malaga (een beetje het L.A. van Zuid-Europa). En Wenen heeft me positief verrast. Sofia daarentegen zou ik niemand willen aanraden.

Beste collabo(s) in 2019?: Ik ga erg lekker op de sacai x Nike Waffle Daybreak en die Palace x Juventus x adidas. Van eigen bodem Patta x CP Company, POP x Nijntje, Daily Paper x Vincent van Gogh, A$AP Ferg x Redline (s/o HERC) en Koning Toto. En Appelsap x Ace & Tate vond ik ook een geslaagde samenwerking.

Beste aankoop in 2019?: Een nieuwe macbook en een Yashika FX3 Super 2000 camera (klinkt megaslick maar is gewoon een tweedehands fototoestel voor 25 euro, maar wel een hele mooie).

Ultimately, you would want a carefree mobile life. Vodafone picked up on the reasoning behind this view and in collaboration with creative agency Achtung, we created four online videos. The main purpose for Vodafone is expressing how carefree a mobile life can be by having the fastest internet, a helpdesk service which is available 24/7 a day and giving customers financial opportunities.

With this in mind, we designed in 2D using geometrical shapes and figures. The design and animation of the main character aim to address the target group and therefore, expression is an important focus. Lots of attention to small details such as the buildings in the smartphone upgrade video, the videogame in vodafone 4G, the extras on the beach in the flexible data video and the neighbours in the 24/7 helpdesk video.

We animated our hearts out with this project!

Robodock Festival 2012

If you live in Amsterdam or your city visit coincides this weekend with this beautiful city, I highly recommend going to the Robodock festival. Robodock is truly one of the most mind-blowing experiences to come out of the Netherlands and it is taking place this weekend on 7, 8 & 9 of June at the ADM terrain in Amsterdam’s Westport. It will feature real fire breathing dragons by The Flaming Lotus Girls. And Peter Hudson‘s Burning Man Strobo Sculpture Charon will also be there. Animation by the brilliant new graphic studio WoodWork.
