Possible S6 Ruthari scenarios:

- Ethari is working in his shop when someone bursts through his door and frantically tells him that one of the flowers resurfaced (good)

- Alternately, Ethari walking by the pond to check on Rayla’s flower only to see that Runaan’s is afloat again somehow (also good)

- Ethari panicking about how this is possible, Runaan has been dead for two years, and is so very unsure of what to do (definite)

- Maybe Ethari decides to build a tracking device from the flower (bcus its connected to Runaan) and sets out to find him (ideal, but unlikely)

- Maybe he quickly builds a shadowhawk to send to him a message, asking if he really is alive (good)

- Maybe the opposite is true, Ethari receives a shadowhawk from Runaan telling him he's alive and coming home (better)

- Maybe all Ethari can do is wait, and the reunion only happens post-Aaravos shenanigans (not a fan of this one)

- When they finally reunite, after all this time, it will be tearful, heartwarming, and Runaan WILL say "I promised to return your heart to you." (A MUST. WRITERS, DON’T FAIL US NOW)

Idk man, I just think that Runaan sending Ethari a white shadowhawk with a short note telling him that he's alive and coming home with something along the lines of "Don't worry my guiding moon, I shall soon return your heart to you" would be so swag

I love how in the middle of the hiatus between TDP s3 and s4, I was so starved for Ruthari content that when it occurred to me I could just.... write a fic about them, I churned out a 20 chapter, 123k word fanfic that I updated religiously over the course of half a year until its completion.

Idk what otherworldly entity possessed me during this time period, because I have not been able to even cohesively plan a fic since.

The first look at Ethari (aka one of my fave characters) was in S1 in the end credits, but he didn't get screentime until two seasons later. The first reapperence of Ethari was in the S5 end credits, and if we do the math WONDERSTORM I SWEAR TO GOD IF THE RUTHARI REUNION ISN'T UNTIL THE LAST SEASON, HELL ITSELF WILL TREMBLE BEFORE THE RAGE I WILL FEEL-
