I feel like I've been a bit harsh towards RvB these past few days. Admittedly, emotions have been running high with the show ending and all that.
I do love the show, and I'm glad we got something of a definitive end. I think if it had happened sooner, it would've made me (and maybe you, too, reader) a lot happier.
Restoration did have its highlights. The voice acting was fun; Caboose's new VA sounded awesome, and honestly Caboose really carried the season for me. It was nice to see some of the newer characters (Dylan Andrews and Agent One) again. It was REALLY nice to see Tex again. I loved the 479er cameo, too.
Now that it's all over, I'm stuck reflecting on the show as a whole and what it meant (and still means) to me. When I first started watching Red vs. Blue, I was pretty depressed. But then Season 13 happened, and suddenly I was writing again, after going through a period where I was certain I'd never tell another story. Not only that, but I was drawing not just for school and work, but for fun! There was a period of time in my life where the only thing I was drawing was RvB-themed art; be it either general fanart or art for my fic. That's changed now, obviously. I've branched out a lot, but I doubt my skills would have improved as much as they did, as rapidly as they did, if I hadn't fallen in love with this show. I also made so, so many friends because of RvB. One of them, I even live with now!
It's funny — sitting back and looking at the big picture, now — how much of my life was shaped by this one show. Where would I be without it? I'm not sure I want to think about it.
Anyways, this is all just a long-winded way of saying "thank you, Red vs. Blue." It wasn't always a perfect show, but I think it's imperfections are a large part of why it has such a creative fandom. And I'm glad I got to be a part of it.
Bow-chicka-bye-now, you funky little space marines. Thanks for everything. <3

Red vs. Blue: Resolution content inside.
Okay so the mysterious figure talking to Epsilon is Epsilon-Sigma, right?
- Epsilon refers to him having a new voice and not liking it. Would stand to reason that they can’t get Elijah Wood back.
- Additionally, the new voice sounds kinda like the deeper echo underlying Elijah’s vocals in Season 10.
- He talks about having a goal and trying to complete the Alpha, which is more or less what the original Sigma was after.
- We’ve seen that Epsilon’s versions of Omega and Gamma are helpful, whereas Epsilon-Sigma hasn’t been seen much, and is hidden away because the others consider him scary and he gives Carolina nightmares.
- While he doesn’t have Sigma’s usual fire aura, an orange glow starts to shine on Epsilon near the climax of the trailer.
It could be a red herring, but it sure does feel like we’re seeing Sigma again.

((Ok, so. until the season drops I have no idea how to handle resetting everything back to Chorus looool.
What I am going to do though is any details we learned about Grif's past, like his enlistment story, or his Labyrinth, I'm keeping. I'm keeping him going off to deal with emotions alone, and him being perfectly capable of getting to the same breaking point he did with Dylan.
I might even keep "Hate Glue" because that cant have been the first time he'd had that thought go across his noggin.

I mean actually though. If Burnie is no longer an employee of the company he created, and RT owns the rights to Red vs. Blue, and Burnie is coming back just to make the final season, does that mean that technically Burnie is writing fanfiction of his own Halo fanfiction. 🤔

For the record, I am, overall, excited for RvB Restoration and for the series getting some kind of closure at last. I just have to recognize the fact that with Burnie at the helm, the priority for character development is always going to go like
1. Church
2. Church derivatives
3. the guys on Blue Team
4. everyone else
and I think it's probably not realistic to expect that every character will get a satisfying wrap-up. I certainly am not going to let myself expect that for Carolina. I will go in hoping for, best-case scenario, some enjoyable nonsense, and maybe a few fun moments to write fanfic about. ✌

fans: at least our favorite characters will get a decent send-off and the show will get a proper ending.
Burnie: for the final season we will be bringing back Church and the Meta, two characters who are absolutely 100% supposed to be dead.
