Patches I carry with me almost everyday & everywhere I go. My humble EDC (Every Day Carry) patches on my laptop/work bag. They have a special personal connection with me in terms of where I served (during my National Service days in the Army), what they stand for, what beliefs I hold dear to and who I serve. Provide ‘The Cutting Edge’, strive for ‘Vigilance, Speed & Accuracy’ at work. ‘Through ‘Thick and Thin’ ‘In God I (We) Trust’ and continually serve. Home is my ‘Singapore’ and keep shining even in the dark. These are the messages on my patches which I hold close to my heart. P.S. While I’m a patch collector, I have a personal policy of not wearing or adorning any patches representing units/teams/formations/achievements/awards/events/exercises of which I have no involvement with or did not earn it. In short, I do not believe in play acting with the patches I have. I think patches are important emblems and insignias that are sacred to the actual people and teams they represent. Therefore, due honour and respect ought to be accorded in how they are worn or displayed.
