#refugiadossaharauis #saharawipeople #pequeñosembajadores #refugiados #campamentosderefugiadossaharauis #rasd #polisario #saharalibre #saharaoccidental https://www.instagram.com/p/ByxYuO6lQVk/?igshid=ry0lm5de4obc

We are honored to have Sultana Khaya among the recipients of our Cultures of Resistance Awards!
Sultana is a Sahrawi human rights defender who is fighting to promote self-determination and to end violence against Sahrawi women. She has travelled internationally to participate in conferences and other events relating to the human rights situation in Western Sahara.
However, since November 2020, she and her family have been confined in their home and abused by Moroccan security forces. They have been poisoned, beaten, and sexually assaulted.
Sahrawi civil society is appealing to the international community and human rights advocates everywhere to defend the Khaya family and stand up for the right of everyone to live in peace and dignity.
Read more and share their list of demands here. Share this story with your friends and follow @sultana_jaya1 on Instagram for more info!

INFOREEL : 48 Years Of Occupation Of Western Sahara 🇪🇭
.
.
Assalamualaikum namaskar today we are gonna talk on saharawi occupation.
In February 1976, the Polisario Front declared the establishment of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic, self-declared state claiming authority over the ethnic territory of saharawi in Western Sahara, which is presently occupied by Morocco.
The region was a Spanish colony from about 1884 to 1976. After Spain withdrew from the region in early 1976, the Polisario Front—a politico-military organization based in Algeria and composed largely of Sahrawi, the Sunni Muslims of the Maliki rite plus the indigenous nomadic inhabitants of Western Sahara—declared the independence of the republic.
after that In late 1975, the Moroccan government organized the Green March of some 350,000 Moroccan citizens, escorted by around 20,000 troops, who entered Western Sahara, trying to establish a Moroccan presence through violent atrocity.
since 1976 beginning of Western Sahara conflict by Morocco has resulted in severe human rights abuses, most notably the aerial bombardments with Napalm and White phosphorus on the Sahrawi refugee camps.. the consequently exodus of tens of thousands of Sahrawi civilians from the country & thousands were abducted & imprisoned for advocating Western Saharan independence, plus rapes , abuses and humiliation of Sahrawi womens and childrens . this doesn't ends here the innocent people of saharawi who weren't even participating in any conflict they were also imprisoned, abducted or killed.
after this inhumane abuses , there were many protest events, took place since the occupation, but during the early 2005 to 2011 the protest were surged inside the occupied territory and also by the expats of saharawi throughout the world, many Sahrawi activists have tried to show the reality of atrocity through extensive use of the Internet, reporting from demonstrations, and documenting Moroccan police abuse and torture through online pictures and video. Morocco has responded by blockading Internet and media access to these sites in Morocco and in Western Sahara, prompting accusations of Internet censorship.
it's now been over 50 years of Moroccon occupation over Western Sahara . the world has done nothing besides talks. The European Union, the African Union and the United Nations do not recognize the sovereignty of Morocco over Western Sahara , that's all world has done. , not a single sanction or, taken any strict action against Morocco, and the most disgraceful, is the silence of muslims Ummah against inhumane atrocity by Morocco towards sahrawi muslims. why are they silenced? , why can't they speak out for their muslim brothers of saharawi ? The time is up now, the world as to wake up and call to stop this atrocity or else saharawi will vanished from the face of the north africa.
