I'm unsure if I'll ever line / finish these but have my slugcat designs!
More information about them under the cut.
Note: Some of these have nicknames! Example being Danger and Milk, they function like Nightcat is for Watcher
Survivor and Monk: Some sort of feathered light fury slugcat hybrid. However due to mutation shenanigans Monk does not have the light fury tail. That or maybe Monk is just too young to have their light fury tail grown yet? Who knows? (He/It for Survivor and She/It for Monk)
Hunter: Not much else to say here except they have green markings on them to signify they belonged to NSH. This version of Hunter does not have rot however. She does have some sort of sickness but it is uncertain what it is or what caused it. A rot parasite however is not it. (She/They/It)
Danger/Artificer: Red lizard hybrid, cannot throw spears or craft explosive ones! Can throw bombs however and have a far more damaging maul to make up for it. Explosive jump is caused by her tail. Due to the lizard hybrid too the explosion did not cause a burn scar, however it did still take out her eye (She/It)
Milk/Rivulet: Lives in the frozen ocean near Moon after delivering the rarefraction cell, the white pelts allow her to camouflage in the snow from predators (Any)
Twitch/Spearmaster: Mostly just a fancy design, however is able to communicate with Suns directly through holograms before Pebbles does the thing (Any)
Nightcat/Watcher: Mole lizard, night fury slugcat hybrid. Relies more on the frills on his face and tail rather than his eyes to understand his surroundings. Can see but poor vision (He/It)
Saint: Echo hybrid as we all know, the black gold ears help him understand echos and Iterators without the mark of communication (He/Echo/It)
Gourmand: May re-do his design to be less white but aside from that, nothing special here, just a fancy design. His pups are also food inspired (He/They/It)
Inv/Enot: Light fury slugcat hybrid. Meant to be twins opposite / the long lost sibling of Watcher. Has heterochromia. (Void/It/neopronouns)
As of now there is no explaination as to why some slugcat are lizard and dragon hybrids while some are not.

Love this blog, like genuinely
Finally! A different opinion that isn't "i can fix her 🥺🥺"
I do have some questions for you because I'm interested in your answers:
Why do you hate Artificer? (I think you may have answered this before but I can't find it)
What do think is one of the worst aspects of her inclusion in Downpour?
How would you change her to actually FEEL like a Rain World character? Without getting rid of her entirely (correct option but let's say your getting paid a billion dollars just to make her a better rw character, cause she doesn't feel like one)
Love this message ♥️
I believe I have gone into why I hate Artificer before and my newly renamed #why i hate it tag should go further into it, but I'll give you a quick rundown: I don't like the scavenger mass murder, the plot sucks and - without getting too much into it - so does the surrounding fanon.
The worst part of it is... hmm. I'll assume you're asking what the most poorly implemented aspect is and not what I hate the most and work from there because I have different answers for both.
It is how much of Artificer and its campaign runs contrary to what James and Joar's vision for Rain World is.
They didn't want a human narrative, specifically highlighting a revenge motif as an example. This is exactly what Artificer is about.
The slugcats are intended to have few human qualities and can't manufacture tools. Artificer's hatred and grief is too human, yes animals do hold grudges but they don't purposely try to wipe an entire species out of existence, and it crafts explosives. (I know Gourmand can craft even more than that but at least the campaign is implied to be an exaggerated retelling. Artificer simply can do it and that's that)
The slugcat is not a main character and can't affect anything on a major scale, the story is what the player does. Artificer is very much a main character with a defined story who decimates the scavengers, kills their leader and sets back the survivors so much that they don't even begin recovering all the way until Saint's events. You know, the very end of the timeline which is thousands of years into the future.
The scavengers are built to be superior to the player in every way except mobility... And yet even with more advanced technology than they've ever had after, they're utterly destroyed by an explosive rodent that is only at a disadvantage when it comes to numbers.
No individual villains, but Artificer here IS the villain and the campaign mainly treats scavengers as an antagonistic force, not to mention the bossfight at the end.
Karma is this ever present and mysterious yet natural of cause and effect, with your consequences for defying your place and overkilling manifesting in ways such as scavenger killsquads, lineaging and Hunter's karmic imbalance that prevents karma flowers from spawning or iterators from raising its karma (maybe the illness as well, but everything surrounding that is too ambiguous to say). This campaign simplifies it into... Do bad things and God/the Void Worms punish you for it. Not that Artificer didn't deserve it but c'mon. On a related topic apparently the reason why Spearmaster, Gourmand and Rivulet don't have their own ascension endings is because the developers didn't want to demystify the Void Sea... But Artificer and Saint do it anyway? I say go all the way or don't do it at all.
So how would I go about making this shitshow more tolerable? I have touched upon this before but I'll gladly give you a revised and expanded version.
Disclaimer: I don't exactly know how to make a slugcat that truly suits Rain World. I love this game and I try to show it through trying to understand it as much as possible so that I can appreciate it better, but there are things that still elude me. I'm the ogre reading Ulysses.
First, I still argue we should throw the revenge plot straight into the trash. Perhaps it grew too accustomed to the taste of scavenger flesh and now it hunts them on purpose as its happened with many man-eating animals. Perhaps it just enjoys doing so for sport, MSC 1.01 did describe the Scavengers as Artificer's rivals specifically. Or maybe it'd be best to leave the exact reasons why they're enemies up to the player. However it's done, my intention is that Artificer isn't too humanized and the Scavengers aren't painted as evil baby murderers that won't stop trying to kill this sad parent.
Second, make visiting Pebbles optional. Iterators are side content and thus should not be too involved in the slugcat's personal journey. You can still have Metropolis - the drone works from the get-go and Pebbles doesn't say "hey go exterminate those people for setting up residence in my deserted city and taking my resources please ignore the fact that this is worse than me accidentally killing Moon and the narrative will ignore this haha feel sad for me"
You could still go there and fight all the scavengers you want and even the Chieftain, but cut the ending. Slaughtering the Metropolis population is player choice, not relegated to a cutscene. Wouldn't it be eerie to walk through a silent city littered with the corpses of your victims? Helps set in the fact that this is fucked up.
Let's take out Artificer's ability to craft bombs and explosive spears. Sounds unfair, doesn't it? But unfairness is a major part of what Rain World is. You want those weapons? Work for it, use your wits and steal them.
The Karma mechanics and reputation would have to be overhauled but I'm not sure how honestly... I know that if there's a way to restore your reputation with scavengers, it would be much more difficult than normal.
I see now that I don't have much, but I tried and this is what I came up with. If anyone has any better ideas feel free to pitch in.

RAIN WORLD PEEPS I HAVE MORE THOUGHTS TO SHARE ABOUT A GREEN CAT
Spoilers for the ENTIRE Saint and the endings for the rest of the Scugs campaigns below, also long watchout.
So we all know how Saint is an echo and how we all agree that the want to ascend others is what we saw in its campagin, but how did it get stuck in the first place because I highly doubt it started wanting to ascend other creatures across of all future time, plus why doesn't it carry over its powers?
The Hypothesis of Saints Past
Unlike most Slugcats, Saint has no Scug family or friends to speak of or memory of and no connection to any Iterator, most likely "born" with its powers. (To those of the "Saint is made by Sliver" truthers gang (same), we have no other base than Sliver is dead and Saint is able to ascend Iterators. I think any Iterator that made a triple affirmative into an animal would wipe its memory of them because that connection could stop them from doing their job properly). This most likely caused a great loneliness in Saint, and assuming that Saint started off from "birth" with its powers it also likely had knowledge from other echoes about what ascension might bring, which is heavily implied to be some form of afterlife (there has to be more than 6 egotisitcs from Ancient civilization). For Survivor and Monk it was reunion with each other and their family, with Hunter it was reunion with its creator, even Artificer who doesn't succeed in ascension due to genocided got to see its kids.
With this I think Saint want to Ascend so badly that I was bound by that desire. Sidenote: I am believe that Rain World Ascension works very similarily to Buddhism and that any want you do not let go of will tie you and not let you reach Nirvana (in Rain World Ascension). Now, the question of the ancients, they want to ascend really bad right? No. They wanted to die. They didn't care what waited for them after, they were of the opinion "anything else is better than this". So now 2
2. Proof
Example A. BUGS
Saint does NOT LIKE eating bugs, however you can force feed Saint bugs, and what happens? Saint seizies. This however is unusal behavior. Usually slugcats know what they can and cannot eat and will not let you force feed them harmful things, shaking their heads no when you press to eat, so why does Saint? Because Saint isn't seizing, it is throwing up. Cats unlike rats have a gag reflect for posion, but if was bad enough to make Saint sick shouldn't Saint follow the lead of the others and just not eat it? Because bugs don't make Saint sick, this point will be further covered in...
Example B. EVOLUTIONARY ADVANTAGE, WHO'S THAT? - SAINT
With the snow and cold being here, what is the evolutionary advantage is there to being a vegan? There was one for Rivulet because of the quick rain, plants would be more plentiful and animal + insects less, however in a snow covered world it just doesn't make sense. Meat would be the primary source of nutritions, insects maybe, frUIT????? SEEDS?????? Theres no point, the plants made for Rain are dying (popcorn plant), are dead (lilypuck), or extremely localized to a reigion(gooieduck).
Example B2.
[REDACTED DUE TO MISINFORMATION FROM OP]
Example C. EAT THE GRAVEL, DRINK THE TEA
Both Moon and Pebbles speak on how the Ancient's thought they could ascened through eating gravel, drinking tea, and starvation. And after the echos were discovered was thought to be needed by some. Saint is doing the same behavior, denying itself the easiest route of survival by eating insects and instead trying to survive off of plants than make other creatures suffer. Thus in Saint's eyes it would be better to starve then to eat a bug, least Saint be brought down by an act of violence against another creature in an act of survival and gulttony.
Example D1CK. HELL PULLS NO PUNCHES, HEAVEN ACCEPTS NO CREDIT CARDS
So, while I understand it was more of a joke here is a statement from the devs about why, when forced Slugpup spawn is on in a Saint campagin there is a 100% chance of one in Rubicon:
However, Slugpups in hell could also be torment for Saint; "Here is the connection you crave so desperately you'd die for it." In a place where ANYTHING can kill the pup. It's hell. That is why I am also mixing with the point that the reason Saint keep ascending other beings is because it assumes that ascending others, espcially those that want to be *cough* Iterators *cough* would get Saint enough "good" Karma to ascend, yet no matter how many or how few things you ascend as Saint, it never gets to. This is because ascending others has become another want that ties Saint down. You can't hurt others more than taking choice away from them assuming your doing the best thing for them without asking. Also if you ascend both Moon and Pebbles, they get to see each other as they never have before. They could have been put in separate room and referenced that they could feel each other while also saying their ascended alone dialogue, but they aren't. They have each other, and Rubicon makes sure Saint see's this before it leaves
Example E. THEMES? IN MY FUNNY PAIN SIMULATOR? MORE LIKELY THAN YOU'D THINK
There are themes and inspriations from Buddihism that I've glossed over, but there are also a few from Christian. For one, there are the first six Karmic desires 1 violence, 2 lust, 3 companionship, 4 gulttony, 5 survival. Most of these have ties to seven deadly sins in christian mythos. Thus, I would like to pose a theme for the funny pain simulator: "Those that wish for Heaven, will find a self-made Hell waiting instead." Why? For both Iterators and Ancients they wished for an end, any. Yet it only found them through luck. It was luck that the Ancients drilled into the void and it was luck that Saint came for Five Pebbles and Looks to the Moon. Saint has only wished for an end, and it went into the void sea with this mindset. Now it is stuck, stuck staring at the tenth karmic symbol, the symbol for ascension, and the symbol for the desire of ascension for the self and others. Because it became an echo at some point, I don't think the campagin we play is Saint first run through the cycle, as it doesn't wake with its powers and even without eating a neuron Saint can see Void Spawn, something it is stripped of through the void and get back through echos.
Rebuttal(s)
Wouldn't want of compaionship stick Saint at karma 3 instead of being at a natural 10 with its powers?
I believe the void sea put a lock on Saint's powers, I think before Saints first attempt at ascension Saint's powers could be accessed at any karma level, as they are once you unlock them.
Then why does Monk and Survivor get to ascend even though they want campaginionship?
Excluding Saint, all slugcat have to be told about the void by Iterators. Those Iterators don't know about the afterlife, thus any time you ascend as a slugcat, the slugcat is probably expect a death that ends in nothingness, not reunion, completing the ascension as whatever slugcat you play as lets go of its karmic desires.
Conclusion
Saint is a lonely cat that is way more tragic why you attempt to analyize the poor thing, stuck suffering in a cycle of its own make, forever seeing itself grant others what it longs for, forever going into Rubicon and seeing a reunion of siblings separated by selfness and kindness. In Pebbles (ascended alone) words:
" An aberrant cycle twisting... spiraling onward into the abyss. What a horrifying destiny [its] found."

Mansion AU’s Cast: Part 1!
The first part of the colorful cast of the au, introduced in order of left to right!
Rivulet, The Mansion Owner (They/Them)
The titular character of the AU, Rivulet is the crazed and chaotic owner of the cursed mansion, who delights in throwing parties and causing chaos for its residents (and sometimes the people in the nearby town) on a daily basis. Armed with oddly friendly mannerisms and even odder whimsical desires to create fun, happy atmospheres for everyone in vicinity, this undead ex-assassin is sure to either brighten up your day… or make it very wacky- Often times, both! Just don’t piss them off (which is quite difficult), and you’ll prolly be fine- unless you’re not a fan of dark and gallows humor, which Riv loves to indulge in!
Artificer, The Mother of Six (She/Her)
The mansion’s first living visitor and inhabitant, Artificer is a fierce fighter in her own right who will fight tooth and nail to keep her family safe, and do whatever it takes to make them have the happiest lives they could ever ask for. Yet underneath this strong front lies a gentle, sensitive and surprisingly shy soul whose scarred heart is as big as the world she lives in… and as fragile as glass at her lowest moments. Her family’s previous poor living conditions was due to a terrible betrayal by those she once held dear- a part of her past that she hesitates to speak about, and has been trying to move on from. But maybe, just maybe, her heart has room for one more chance at love?
Saint, The Light Priestess (She/Her)
In this world, priestesses and monks also double duty as protectors of the living who are tasked with fending off threats against towns and cities- especially ones of the supernatural variety. Saint is no different, and thus was horrified when she first discovered the cursed mansion. Before she could do anything about it though, Rivulet found her and forced her on a tour similar to Arti’s first time, and made her swear to keep the mansion a secret. She eventually complied, first begrudingly and later happily, too curious about the mansion and the nature of its inhabitants to hold any ill will. She visits the mansion every weekends, not just to keep an eye on things but also to keep her eyes on Arti… who she has been developing feelings for! Now, Saint is, as you’d expect from her name and position, usually a dignified slugcat who uses her light magic prowess with grace. But she also has a surprisingly short temper (that Rivulet loves to stoke, resulting in many comical chase scenes), a childish sense of humor revolving around memes, and overall cares way too much about the state of her hair!
Spearmaster, SRS Riot Police Captain (He/Him)
Adorned with a fancy cape, the ability create to makeshift spears out of his tail and mastery over various weapons and firearms, Spearmaster is the iconic captain of the Seven Red Suns Riot Police Force (SRSRPF) and the paragon example for many police officers. Loyal and brave with a strong sense of justice, he’s an old friend of Arti who’s been trying to track her down so that he can do something about her poor living conditions. When he discovered Riv’s mansion and the fact that she lives there, he was quite suspicious about the mansion owner’s possible nefarious motives. While willing to give them the benefit of the doubt, Spear makes it a point to visit his old friend twice a month to catch up and keep an eye on things. It’s in his visits that he reveals himself to be something of a dork- someone who tries his best to look “cool” to Arti’s kids, only to falter hilariously due to his fear of ghosts and jumpscares, something that the mansion has no shortage of. Thus, he’s often the target for pranks courtesy of the mansion owner, much to his chagrin!
Survivor, The Silent Sister (She/Her)
The oldest of Arti’s children, Surv takes on the role of a quiet, kind and caring sister towards her younger siblings. Due to past trauma, she’s selectively mute and thus struggles to voice out her feelings vocally. That however doesn’t stop her from being very expressive- both in terms of facial expressions, and when writing out messages on a small whiteboard (that she always carry around) for others to read. She’s also very animated when she wants to be, using exaggeratedly dramatic gestures and body languages to get her messages across. Around people she’s comfortable around, Surv is actually quite sarcastic, with a sense of humor as dry as desert and a sharp wit that ensures no one wants to be on the receiving end of her ire!
Monk, The Sunshine (He/They)
Despite being the 3rd oldest child of Arti’s kids, Monk is nonetheless fussed over by his siblings and mother a lot, due to a mobility impairment that prevents him from walking on his own. He is also very physically fragile, and is more sensitive to pain than most, making injuries feel all the more awful for him. But this doesn’t stop him from being the most happy-go-lucky and positive child of the group, who often has to act as a mediator (alongside Surv) whenever arguments between siblings happen, and has an extremely friendly and social demeanor that makes him very likeable. Out of everyone here, he is the most tolerant of Riv’s antics, and is more or less amused by them most of the time- but he can still get annoyed if pushed too far, like being reminded of his inability to walk. He can also sass his family and especially Riv all day, if he feels like it, so don’t get on his bad side!
Hunter, The Fierce (She/Her)
The 2nd oldest sibling only behind Surv, Hunter used to help her mother forage for food using her agility and quick thinking to get out of dangerous situations. Now that she no longer has to do any of that after the family’s relocation, she has taken to instead training with practice weapons so that she can one day become a professional bounty hunter. Passionate and stubborn, she won’t let her blind left eye and PTSD regarding fire hinder her from becoming a world known fighter that’d make her family proud. Hunter doesn’t like accepting help, as it wounds her pride, but she’s willing to set her ego aside when it comes to her family and friends. She knows she has a long way to go before she can reach the top, and until then, she’ll keep on training hard- especially with her mother, Riv and Spear giving her fighting lessons!
Gourmand, The Innocent (He/Him)
The youngest and tiniest of Arti’s children, Gourm often gets fussed over just as much as Monk. He inherited his mother’s oversensitive nature, and this alongside his separation anxiety has caused him to be prone to crying a lot, though he’s been trying his best to work on that. For being as young as he is, Gourm is very smart for his age, and although the more mature stuff often eludes his childlike innocence still, he’s always eager to learn something new. He’s also quite knowledgable about cooking, and while he needs help when preparing the ingredients, he knows a lot of his family’s favorite recipes by heart and loves seeing his family enjoy a good meal personally made by him!
Marine, The Determined (They/Them)
Eager to please their family and even more eager to learn new things about weapons and firearms, Marine looks up to Spear as their idol and strives to one day become like him. Being the 2nd youngest sibling of Arti’s family also doesn’t stop Marine from trying to take on the role of a responsible sibling, which they succeed at very well for their age, and they can often be seen helping their mother and/or Surv at anything they can and with all the determination that a young child can muster... so long as they're not in the mood for causing mischief, that is. No matter what they’re doing, whether it be simple chores around the mansion, combat lessons taught by their idol or silly pranks they want to pull on their siblings and mother, Marine always give it their all. And if you think constant nightmares related to their insecurities and their lack of tail will slow them down, think again!
Wolf, The Wild (He/Him)
Out of all the kids living in the mansion, Wolf is the one who prefers the outdoors the most. His love for nature makes him very in tune with wildlife, and animals often flock to him whenever he gives them any attention. Wolf can often be seen tending to his personal little garden by himself, not just because he enjoys the activity, but also because he’s very self-conscious about his anger issues. He tries to limit his interactions with others for fear of snapping at them, though he’s been making steady improvements towards self-control and socializing more. Wolf is very protective regarding his family, and will not hesitate to direct his aggression towards anyone who wishes his loved ones harm, no matter who they are. He’s the first one of the family to openly show hostility towards Riv, back when the family had just relocated, and the mansion owner was so impressed by his guts that they’re currently tutoring Wolf on controlling his “inner beast”!

Spearmaster
A manufactured slugcat with purposes now past. Spearmaster is left to find their place in the world as they're all but without any objectives
Spearmaster was originally created by SRS to deliver but a single message to a neighboring iterator, spearmaster had to go through several mishaps and trials, including losing the pearl once which lead to it having to be refabricated and secured in their chest (huge time loss) and making it to the WRONG iterator first (another huge time loss) but eventually they made the delivery...but instead of being rewarded, praised or even just a little thank you, all spearmaster was given was a NASTY injury from having the pearl ripped out and angry thrown out of the recipients vicinity...Spearmaster was devastated, their one singular purpose, failed, had Spearmaster not made so many time costing blunders this could have been avoided but no, they ruined the one thing they were made for. Spearmaster would never truly forgive themselves and lives with the burden they behold, all they could do was try to find some other purpose to have, not willing to give everything up and ascend just yet, the friends he's made has somewhat filled that void but theres still something Spearmaster cant help but think is missing...
Spearmaster, while a little pessimistic especially towards themselves at times is keen on making new friends that present themselves to them, afterall it has been making them feel better little by little, just hope you know sign language otherwise things will get frustrating for the both of you fast
likes : friends, having things that feel important to do, successfully doing said important things, yogurt dislikes : failure (the more important it was the worse it feels), living without purpose, not being understood
relationships survivor : "thank you for showing me that even those with the minimum needed to survive can still be happy" monk : "thank you for your kindness and cheer that i wish to have some day" hunter : "thank you for having skills i can aspire to and maybe achieve" nightcat : "thank you for...uh...demonstrating anyone can at least make 1 friend?" gourmand : "thank you for your generosity with providing essentials too all you come across" artificer : "thank you for being the best example of never giving up no matter how daunting a task is...i know it was killing a measurable amount of the population of another species in your case but you do you" rivulet : "thank you for always being there for me, you make me happiest the most" saint : "thank you for showing me that you can get by while using only a fraction of your power" enot : "...if i was to thank you for anything it would be making sure i have boundaries, please stay away from me"

I'm guessing this is about the character, and not the region, judging by the fact that you used 'him' instead of 'it' on the poll, and by the things said on the other reblogs. I could almost definitely do a full character analysis on the guy, but honestly, I don't feel like there would be of a point. The characterization of Five Pebbles has already discussed to death by the community, and I don't think I have anything to add, outside of maybe commenting on the readings of others.
And this poll isn't really about that, anyway. But instead, it's about how much we enjoyed him, as a character. And the fun thing about that is how there isn't a consistent metric for it. We all have our list of requirements, that need to be fulfilled, for us to fall in love with a character - and that list is completely different for each of us.
Mine is... certainly on the more unusual side, as I almost never get grabbed by the popular central characters, but instead, the one that really catches my eye is that one neat side character not many people cared about. (The most recent example would be Arcane, and how I wasn't overly invested in CaitVi, but got super excited whenever Singed showed up. And believe me, this happens in like, every piece of media I consume xd) But the weird part is that Rain World is the one thing that is completely exempt from this. Sure, with ships, I always had a preference towards the less popular ones - but if you're looking at just the singular characters, my favorites were actually the important central ones that most of the community also cared about.
Five Pebbles is undoubtedly on that list, and that is due to a combination of two things - the way he was framed, and the compelling, yet nuanced characterization. The game did a lot to make him seem godlike, and boy, does it work phenomenally! He's enormous. He's practically immortal. He's incredibly knowledgeable. He wields immense power. He talks in a very inhuman way, and makes it clear he sees you as someone who is beneath him in every way. And if you annoy him even just a little, he won't hesitate to just effortlessly kill you in a snap. The point is that this guy has an overwhelming presence, far above anything you've ever seen before, or since. And this only gets hammered in more, as you learn about the lore. As for the characterization, I'm gonna reiterate that I really don't have much to add, except for the fact that I personally found it quite compelling. The base game didn't show too much of him, but it did establish him as a bit of a flawed/morally grey figure. He's made mistakes, and is not exactly the most kindhearted fella, but he still wants the best for everyone, and is willing to assist both the Survivor/Monk in their mission for ascension, and the Hunter, in their quest to restore what's left of the group senior. Downpour did expand on him a bit, though a lot of what we've seen were things we could easily infer. Of course there were three things that stuck out - some of the pearl readings on Artificer's campaign, the sacrifice on Rivulet's, and the sheer extent of his collapse on Saint's. Some people understandably didn't like how the DLC humanized him, and heavily reduced how 'distant' or 'godlike' he felt. But honestly, I like that we got to peer into him a little more, and see what's beyond this outer layer that the base game presented us with. (And frankly, this is pretty much the direction I would have taken him, too..... okay, the Spearmaster outburst is something I almost definitely would have written differently, but that's about it) However, in spite of all of this, he... didn't really make it into the list of all-time favorite fictional characters - the kinds I would think about about on a daily basis, for multiple years. And why? I'm... not quite sure, actually. Because in theory, he should be up there. The only thing I could really note is how I don't think there's anything more I could add to him. Everything is already so well tied together. We got to see both the prelude, and the conclusion to his story, all the while his personality was completely fleshed out as well. And this is a really rare thing, actually. Usually, there are always some holes left to fill, but for Five Pebbles, I frankly don't see any. So I'd rather think about characters like Saint, who are practically nothing, but a bajillion holes, on top of a really intriguing premise (that's drastically oversimplifying it, but you get the point). But this is really not a bad thing, and is actually quite a breath of fresh air for me, after World of Warcraft's inconsistency, in regards to the execution of character conclusions, or the lore of Runeterra setting up a boatload of interesting things, only to never properly expand on them. Five Pebbles is how you do character writing right. And while you could argue that he lost a good chunk of what made him so memorable in the base game (even if you discount all the memes, and catboy stuff, and other fandom nonsense), what we got was a compelling, and absolutely devastating journey that undoubtedly stuck with me. So yeah. He deserves a 'love' for that. He technically ain't a brainrot of mine, but he doesn't need to be <3
maybe been done

Dang, the final day of round one, it got here so fast! I gotta say, your capability to keep doing this every day for this many months is something I truly respect. Not many people have the capability to show such levels of dedication to a random hobby. I know I have missed out on a bunch of days during this round, while the other polls were running, and I apologize for that. I just didn't want to have to worry about so many polls constantly, while also having to keep up with my college studies. It's usually best not to have too much stuff that my brain would need to constantly be keeping up with xd But if anyone is interested on what my thoughts are about a particular room that I didn't address (…which are most of them, in retrospect), then feel free to ask me.
Oh, and I almost forgot - you didn't include Farm Arrays in the tags, hehe :D (but I choose to believe that was intentional because Farm Arrays is… you know, Farm Arrays) And now, let's get onto the last list of this round!
Personal room ranking:
1 - Metropolis: cramped (9/10) 2 - Waterfront Facility: C01 (8/10) 3 - The Rot: A09 (8/10) 4 - Farm Arrays: D06 (7/10) 5 - Waterfront Facility: C12 (6/10) 6 - Garbage Wastes: PIPE12 (6/10) 7 - Five Pebbles: C06 (6/10) 8 - The Exterior: E03 (5/10) 9 - Shaded Citadel: C01 (4/10)
Extra comment: You might be wondering, is this a good note to close the round out on? And to that, I can only give a solid "Maybe?"
Admittedly, most of these are pretty decent. Cramped is my favorite, mostly because it's a room with a boring purpose, but a unique design, and I really like it when the devs do that. Just because a room isn't important, it doesn't mean that it has to be a carbon copy of some other rooms from the region, after all (but it absolutely can be, of course, I'm just gonna rate it too high in that case, like in the case of PIPE12 here). I don't think the name describes it very well, since this place doesn't look cramped at all, but you can't see the names in-game, so I can forgive that.
As for the others, a couple of them seem to be making it through, and I'd say pretty much all of them deserve it (and I'm going through them all, cus if there's one reblog that deserves to go even longer, it's this one). C01 is a great example of how to modify an already existing room. You can easily tell which specific Shoreline room this is, while the layout, aesthetic and general feel of it fits Waterfront Facility perfectly. One thing I'm slightly annoyed by is how this new layout makes grabbing the Jellyfish unlock very trivial, but considering the insane mobility of Artificer, Rivulet and Saint, Downpour players could have still very easily bypassed the challenge.
D06 is creative, but it does have some frustrating elements. As an overall design package, though? Yeah, it does work, especially with the rain's flooding mechanic allowing the shelter to be accessible from the bottom, if need be. I'm sure a lot of us have used that, and we all felt like a really clever scug when we did that :)
A09's idea is simple, but effective, throwing off the player by closing off the old path with the rot, while opening up an entirely new one with the collapse. This region does that a lot in general, but it's a great way to let players know that this'll be a lot more than just "FP, but with a higher number of DLLs, and inconsistent gravity". Proto DLLs not being placed annoyingly is also a plus.
And the last one to make it is…. C01? That's weird, cus I have an enormous love for Shaded, yet even I don't really about this room too much. It does fit in well, and it doesn't have anything particularly bad about it, but it's also one of those rooms that I wouldn't mind seeing removed. Its rightside parts are kind of neat, I guess.
And now, for the last and most certainly the least - E03, which didn't get a single vote XD I wanted to mention that one, because I actually really like it in campaigns where it has a DLL. However, I have visited it as Hunter. And I can safely say that I've never made a bigger mistake in this game. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if the Precipice and Waterfront Facility were made, just so that Spearmaster and Artificer can go around that godforsaken room. I sure did that, I have absolutely no regrets about it. So yeah, it's quite satisfying to see my feelings get validated like this.
