When asked about Charles Leclerc's brake issues, Carlos Sainz said: "I haven't been without problems either. In the first ten laps, we didn't anticipate the brake overheating issues we had. The pedal started vibrating heavily during braking, and we began to feel it travel too far. The team asked me to save the brakes, to find some clean air. "It's something you can't understand in testing, but I managed to handle it well. I held on as long as I could, and as soon as I overtook and got into clean air, there were no more issues," he concluded. DAZN Espana via u/zsarok
Sainz had normal brake temperature issues from following a car in dirty air. Leclerc had a 100 degree imbalance between the right front and left front brakes, making it almost impossible to turn the car.
His pathological need to make it falsely seem like he had the same problems as Charles when he clearly did not says a lot about his character.
Utterly classless. Abominably shameless.

My love, is mine all mine - Max Verstappen x Norris! Reader x Charles Leclerc Part 3
Plot: Norris' Twin sister is also a driver in the 2021 line up and is in her rookie era. Not only do the commentators struggle to now talk about the pair in the race, but they also struggle to talk about talent. What happens when two drivers find her eye-catching.

After the Charles incident you didn’t really know what to do. The next weeks to come you continued straight on from France into 2 rounds at the Red Bull Ring. Of course everyone was looking to Max for the wins as this was the home for the team.
Practice hadn’t gone well, and it was completely your fault.
You’d gone 12th fastest in FP1, however when your best friend from home surprised you at the track you had the time to confide in her.
You told her all about what had happened with your twin and with Charles and Max. She was just as shocked as you were.
You showed her everywhere while you guys went to get some snacks to bring back to your drivers room.
You ended up bumping into some of the drivers, but the one you stuck around the most was Max, he asked you how you were after the post France fiasco and you’d asked him to drop it.
He ended up changing the conversation to your friend asking who she was and you guys all spoke about that instead which as a delight for you.
Eventually Max needed to go for some kind of Red Bull test, and he left you two to get back to the McLaren Paddock.
You guys gossiped like two little girls until Zac and Nico your race engineer came into your drivers room telling you it was time for FP2.
After having that pep talk from Y/BF/N you went 2nd fastest only 0.3 of a second behind Max himself. You were glowing when you came out the car. Everyone was congratulating you and the McLaren admins were taking pictures and videos of you happily getting out of the car!
However, when you turned your head looking towards the garage entrance you couldn’t see Y/BF/N anywhere. You finished up your media duties, talking about the pace of the car and how your head was clear on the flyers you did in FP2.
You spent ages looking for you friend, you assumed she’d stay in your hotel room with you so you were looking for her all around the track.
You eventually gave up sending her a text instead asking where she was to which she sent a short reply explaining she was back at her own hotel.
You went back to yours, laying awake thinking of qualifying and how tomorrow would go.
You thought you’d have a really good day today, you woke up extra early having a nice hotel breakfast and going to the paddock in a really nice outfit from one of your clothing sponsors Versace.
But when you got the the paddock seeing Y/BF/N kissing Max Verstappen’s cheek you were confused. He handed her the jacket she’d been wearing yesterday and you couldn’t help but think the worst.
You wanted to confront him, but with FP3 coming up you knew it was about time you’d have to get ready so you try to ignore it as much as possible. However it was the only thing on your mind.
Max had been so nice to you in your first season. And you always fell for the nice guys, who turned out to be twats. But you didn’t think he was a twat.
If anything you were more upset at the fact that Y/BF/N had potentially lied to you about where she was, and you didn’t know why she would feel the need to do that.
FP3 was awful, and you went 17th fastest a stark contrast from yesterday. Mick in the Haas was faster than you and if that wasn’t a wake up call you don’t know what was. The only comfort was that your brother was P19, so it wasn’t just a you thing the car wasn’t at peak performance.
Come qualifying your cars performed better, especially Landos where he went all the way to Q3 taking second row in P4. You on the other hand only made it to Q2 and was left starting next to Sebastian Vettel behind Yuki Tsunoda and Carlos Sainz. You were hoping the Ferrari could give you a slip stream and you’d be able to move up to go for an overtake on George.
You started off really well, doing exactly as you said. You dived in between Carlos and Yuki, both distracted attacking and defending each other you managed to get ahead.
You stormed through the field overtaking Lance and George consecutively, your gotten yourself to P9, left to take over the Alpine and then make a move on Charles. However, Lance came up too close behind you going into turn 4 your car spinning out because of how he hit you in the side.
The car went straight into the barriers not stopped by the gravel and the car was buried. There was no way for recovery.
"Are you okay Y/N?" Nico asks and where you are so winded you don't reply for a second.
"Y/N are you okay?" Nico asks again, you have a little shake of your head now that you breath is back and not caught before you reply.
"Yes. I'm okay. I don't know what happened i was turning on the inside line and Lance was just in the side of my car and I spun out" you say, looking at your hands waiting for Nico to reply.
"Stewards are reviewing footage now, come back to the garage and we'll see you in medical" Nico says.
You switch everything off chucking the wheel out the car onto the gravel before pulling yourself up over the halo. Lance had managed to continue his race but would need to put for wing damage. You came back with a Marshall to the McLaren garage profusely apologizing to Zac who had come to see you from where he had been sat on the pit wall.
"It's okay Y/N! This is your first DNF, there's no need to worry okay? This wasn't your fault at all!" he tells you rubbing your shoulder. You nod and watch as he shows you the decision made by the stewards. Lance was being made to do a stop and go 10 second penalty.
The race ended with your brother up high in the points making up for your unfortunate end to the race and getting the team the much needed points.
All the post race interviews you were asked about the incident with Lance and whether you were happy with the decision made by the Stewards. You kindly explained that you trusted the FIA in their decision making and the penalty clearly paid off as Lance was kept out of the points.
As Lando had done really well, you agreed to take him out to dinner that night. You'd asked Y/BF/N if she wanted to come but she said she'd be staying at the hotel because something in the McLaren hospitality hade made her sick so she'd be having plain toast at the hotel.
You and Lando dressed up really nice as you were taking him to a fancy restaurant so you didn't have to deal with the agg of the media or fans as the crash had really taken a lot of your energy.
You were seated at a central table one where you both had a view of the whole restaurant which was perfect as you could both people watch and comment on all the funny things people were doing. It was a little past time you and Lando had since you were kids.
Where it was one of the nicest restaurants in Austria, you guys saw some of the other drivers. Lewis, Sebastian and Valterri came in, and sat 4 tables down from you both, then Charles and Pierre came in together and sat in the seats behind you.
You were just served your starter when you looked up to thank the waitress, when your eyes locked on Max Verstappen walking in with Y/BF/N.
“Y/BF/N?” You ask in shock, where you ask loud enough for them to hear both their attention is now on you and the rest of the people sitting in your vicinity also look up.
“I thought you said you were to sick to come celebrate with Lando and I?” You ask offended that she’d ditched your for someone else and not told you, you wouldn’t have had a problem if she’d told you.
Not only that but it irked you she was with Max and you didn’t know why.
Did this mean that she had in fact been with Max when she said she was in her own hotel room? Did she even have a room?
“What are you guys doing here?” She laughs awkwardly before looking up at Max who now looks like a deer caught in headlights.
“I told me Lando and I were going out for dinner, to celebrate?” You say as if trying to jog her memory.
“Yeah but let’s be for real it’s you and Lando, I would expect your celebratory meal to be McDonalds and class it as cheat day for your insane diet!” She exclaims making you recoil a little.
“Is that why you said no? Because you didn’t think we’d take you someone nice, so you went with the person that had the better offer?” You ask looking up at Max who was trying to avoid all eye contact by looking everywhere but you.
You couldn’t believe it, was your childhood best friend about to admit she was only your friend for the money?
“Y/N that came out wrong. Looks let’s just enjoy our nights out, and we can talk about this on the plane home tomorrow!” She offers reaching a hand out to you.
“Im not going home tomorrow, I have another race here next weekend. Me and Lando are staying here because it’s cheaper. I told you that the other day” you voice before going back to sit down with Lando and enjoy your meal.
The hostess guides them to the other side of the restaurant, as they didn’t want any more disturbances so both Max and Y/BF/N are out of sight.
“Hey are you okay?” You hear from behind you making you turn round to see Charles turned round on his booth seat looking at you, Pierre also sending you a kind smile.
“Im fine, why wouldn’t I be” you smile but it really is the furthest thing from the truth.
You try to enjoy your night, but it’s constantly playing on the back of your mind.

f1 opener, thoughts
jesus fucking christ what a race, anyways:
vcarb is so fucking unserious. yuki could've scored points, and they fucked him, then told him to let ric past for no reason
charles huge brake issues to a replacement component. the car was actively trying to kill him and he still managed p4.
similar for russell, he had issues and did a great job out there maximising. ferrari was the faster car today, though
hamilton clearly made the wrong call with his setup this weekend, sacrificed a bit too much in quali,,, eeee
sainz podium! but wouldve been interesting to see leclerc be able to fight for p2/the win with a decent car (the win was probably out of reach today, but at least fighting max for a bit, possibly)
christian horner arriving hand in hand with geri.. jesus fucking christ. i hate red bull.
perez racecraft eats as per usual, still nowhere near to max in clean air.
norris was rapid, compared to piastri. great racing from him today and still puzzled why people think piastri is going to outscore him this season. not shitting on piastri, but norris' racecraft is briliant. if he can improve his quali he'll be right in the mix
both mclarens in the points!
hulkenberg got fucked
stroll dropping to the back to then fight his way back to points? ate tbh.
its evident that ferrari needs some serious change to fight red bull. they got max points today (pun intended) and i fully believe leclerc could've fought for p2 without the issues. replacing a component and then causing issues is ... yikes.
rbr > ferrari > merc > mclaren > aston looks like our top five in pace right now. vcarb after chatting a lot of shit seem to be about the same pace. haas is looking better than expected, and alpine is looking predictably shit
williams had issues with brakes today, causing logan sargeants run off. feeling for him bcause he made up places at the start, and the car otherwise is looking good.
anyways guys. max verstappen world domination (cries)
jeddah is high speed, and mclaren may well be stronger there than this week, and merc. ferrari may be weaker. might scream and cry
anyways. check on ur cl16 fan friends. today was awful

Max Verstappen’s Formula 1 wins ☆ Formula 1 AWS Grand Prix du Canada 2022
It’s absolutely enthralling this. It is brilliant to watch. Verstappen and Sainz, accelerating each other, clear of the pack since the Safety Car. And Verstappen, putting up, and coping with all the pressure that Sainz has been able to throw his way, as you would expect from a man that was controlling this race in earlier stages. Sainz has been leading this race, but the Red Bull has had the pace over them today. And we’ve seen a really decent Canadian Grand Prix, and it’s a Canadian Grand Prix that, unless Carlos Sainz can do something about it now, is gonna go Red Bull’s way. But he looks like, and he is, an awful lot further behind on this lap than he has been on other laps. So maybe, Max Verstappen can just start to relax and to rest a little bit as, for the first time he starts a race in Montreal on pole, and for the first time, he sees the chequered flag and will know what it’s like to win the Canadian Grand Prix! Max Verstappen comes home in first place.

Hamilton snatches pole & Quartararo inherits it! - Saturday Racing Round Up
F1
That was a qualifying for the ages! It may have had a familiar polesitter, but the rest was pure madness! As ever in qualifying, there were drivers who over and under achieved, on a track which punishes errors!
Saturday is one of the many places where Lewis excels, and today he showed that again, as despite not having the best car, he managed to put it on pole. If Max hadn’t mucked up his last lap, the story may have been different, but because Hamilton did such a great first lap, it put pressure on Verstappen, which led to the error. The other side of the Mercedes garage was frankly abysmal to be honest, this is a crucial year for Bottas, after Russell almost won in a Mercedes last year, and times like this could be what cost him that seat. As for Perez, the ‘No.2 driver’ we expected to struggle, he flew around Imola, likely aided by spending all 3 sessions on one type of tyre, which meant he was really comfortable with it by Q3. Nevertheless, it was a performance which confirms why he was drafted into the team, and means Red Bull have a two pronged attack at Lewis for the race!
It was a session of highs and lows for Norris, who drove unbelievably well, once again outshining his more experienced teammate. He was incredibly close to pole, on a lap that I was in awe of, as I watched it unfold, only for it to be taken away. The two good things to take from this, are that the car has pace well beyond the midfield clearly, which could bode well for tomorrow, and that the FIA have got their act together and are keeping to their rules.
As expected Ferrari and Alpha Tauri had strong pace all day, although they shouldn’t have beaten McLaren, Leclerc is just consistently able to get the most out of the car, which is amazing, and Gasly will be hoping to get some points on the table after Bahrain. The worry for them will be the two Orange cars behind, who can split strategies and attack them from all directions in the race. Their respective teammates did not fair as well, Tsunoda made a rookie error which is understandable, whereas Sainz just couldn’t put the lap together when he needed it, I am sure they will both get there over time.
Alpine and Aston Martin are holding on to the top ten by their fingernails as expected, they may well be able to get a point or two if we see some chaos in the race, or through good strategy, as their pace isn’t far behind the other 3 teams. Alonso and Vettel, who are meant to be the more mature and faster drivers, are being comprehensively beaten at the moment by youth, they better hope it changes soon. Another star of qualifying was Williams, who I think have targeted this track as one of their ones to score points at, as we can’t expect this pace all year. They barely missed Q3 with George, and are in prime position to strike on the points if possible! Alfa Romeo may be disappointed with a Q1 exit after how Bahrain turned out, so their may be some head scratching there!
Overtaking may not be easy tomorrow, however that doesn’t mean it won’t have action, it just means that drivers will need to earn positions, which could be great to watch! Then if rain turns up, who knows what will happen!
MotoGP
For the first time this year, a Ducati is not on pole, despite finishing the session top. Bagnaia, put in a screamer of a lap in the dying moments, which was fastest of the session, yet he passed a yellow flag for Olivera, so had to concede the lap. Instead pole honours went to Quartararo, who will likely be annoyed to not have it outright. Fabio has been in front all weekend, so it was no surprise that he will head the grid, and could be unbeatable tomorrow. Although with a Suzuki on the front row in Rins, who is used to fighting back from poor qualifying’s, it could be a thrilling duel between those two.
Rins really outperformed his teammate Mir, who got up to Q2, but was half a second off Alex, not where he needs to be to defend his title. It is a similar story for Fabio’s teammate Vinales, who couldn’t stay on the track, so could only manage 12th on the grid, so it could be long afternoon from there!
Even though Bagnaia missed out on pole, Zarco and Miller are well placed, in 3rd and 4th, so with their whole shot device, they should at least be in the mix in the first half of the race, however I doubt they can fight for the win. Marini, who had been living in the shadows of the other rookies in Losail, finally showed his pace today, not only in reaching Q2 straight from practice, but qualifying  P8, admittedly with help from Bagnaia. Meanwhile for Martin it did not go so well, he crashed badly, causing a brain contusion amongst other injuries, I wish him the best, hopefully he can be back soon!
After looking so good yesterday, today was more realistic for Marc Marquez, only reaching Q2 through Q1, and using his momentum to get P6. From there I don’t think a podium is possible, even for him the bike looks too unstable, so I can see a top ten or maybe top five, but anything else would be a miracle. Morbidelli and Espargaro did well, after not much was expected of them today, if they can stay in the mix tomorrow, it would help their momentum for the rest of the year.
Olivera’s qualifying today, does rather confirm that KTM have taken a step back with their 2021 bike, which is a real shame for a team with so much potential, they need to find answers soon, or try going back to the old bike!
As always in MotoGP, there is no clear form book for the race, that being said, Yamaha and Suzuki look the most favourable, more so Yamaha in the hands of Quartararo, who may be able to continue his run of form. Otherwise expect the usual drama of MotoGP, which could be further heightened with the return of Marquez!

Note – IndyCar preview tomorrow morning after qualifying has occurred!

German GP driver ratings | F1 News
http://www.internetunleashed.co.uk/?p=16632 German GP driver ratings | F1 News - http://www.internetunleashed.co.uk/?p=16632 That's what £40m a year buys. Victory in Germany from 14th on the grid was a phenomenal effort from Lewis Hamilton, a drive of daring and determination, and without doubt one of his best.Hamilton savours 'drive of my life' "That was the drive of my life," Hamilton said as he left the circuit. F1 was extraordinarily good on Sunday - exhilarating, unpredictable and captivating - and though the post-race investigation clouded the occasion, it was only fitting that the race was won by a performance of such extraordinary excellence.Rating out of ten: 10 After dragging his Mercedes to the front row in qualifying and pursuing Sebastian Vettel for much of the race, Valtteri Bottas looked likely to be the beneficiary from any problem for the race-leader and must have been licking his lips when the Ferrari crashed out of the lead. Instead, as has happened so often this season, he ended the day looking up to his team-mate from second place on the podium, and is still waiting for his first victory of an impressive 2018.He may claim he accepted Mercedes' decision to stop him racing Hamilton upon the Safety Car restart, but considering how many times a victory has been snatched away from him through bad luck, Bottas would be forgiven for being incredibly frustrated. Bottas was all over the back of his team-mate's W09 and seemed to have far more grip on fresh tyres, but was soon told by his team to protect the one-two. Bottas' calm response and protective display was rare for a modern F1 driver, but it showed another admirable quality of his and why Mercedes handed him a new deal.Rating out of ten: 9 Is the narrative beginning to shift around Kimi Raikkonen? Even if he remains behind his team-mate on outright pace, Kimi has finished on the podium in the last four races. All of a sudden, and the said change in premiership at Ferrari following Sergio Marchionne's illness is a factor here, it's back in the balance whether Kimi will remain Sebastian Vettel's 2019 team-mate. Given F1 suffers from short memory and Ferrari tend to make their driver line-up decisions around the summer break, a big weekend in Hungary would be very useful - and potentially definitive.Rating out of ten: 8 Rain falling, carnage on the track and a Safety Car - on paper this had all the makings of a Max Verstappen masterclass and a stolen win. But things just never clicked into place for the Dutchman on Sunday. He was pushing Raikkonen hard on the first lap after a strong start but the Ferrari soon streaked away, unsurprising given his power advantage. Once the heavens opened Red Bull gambled, putting Verstappen onto the intermediate tyres, and you can see why - they had no challenge from behind while a heavier shower would have earned them precious time on the leading pack. But the rain didn't really persist, and even after switching to ultrasofts following Vettel's crash and the deployment of the Safety Car, Verstappen never looked to be in contention. A sign that Red Bull simply didn't have the pace.Rating out of ten: 7.5 At the halfway stage of 2018, there's no doubt who is currently top dog at Renault. Nico Hulkenberg now holds twice as many points as Carlos Sainz, capped by his best-ever result for the team at his home race on Sunday. The team described it 'a stellar performance' and Nico was faultless both in his driving and decision-making as he put significant daylight between Renault (80 points) and Haas and Force India (both 59 points) in the Constructors' Championship.Rating out of ten: 9 After losing sixth place to Hulkenberg early on and then incorrectly fitting intermediates, Romain Grosjean may have feared this was going to be another opportunity missed on race day. He had slipped out to 10th after switching back to ultrasofts under the Safety Car, and had plenty of work to do.But it was a superb charge after that as Grosjean overtook four cars in the closing 10 laps, securing just his second points-finish of the season. In truth, sixth was the minimum for Haas given how strong their package is at the moment."The boys deserved a really good drive from me, and I had fun doing it," said the Frenchman.Rating out of ten: 8 That's better, Sergio Perez. The Mexican has struggled of late, particularly in qualifying against Esteban Ocon, but was a league ahead in Germany, out-qualifying his team-mate by five places before taking seventh on race day. It could have been better still: Perez suffered a slow pit-stop, spun mid-race and then lost a place on the final lap as well.Rating out of ten: 8 That Force India were the only team other than Mercedes to finish with both cars in the top-10 is impressive given Esteban Ocon's Saturday, where he didn't even make it out of Q1. The Frenchman made up for it in the race, making up seven places as both he and Perez stuck on the slicks while rivals gambled. But will Force India be able to fend off Renault for the in-form Mercedes protégé?Rating out of ten: 7 Well done, Marcus Ericsson. Very much on the backfoot in his internal Sauber fight against Charles Leclerc, and beaten by around eight tenths in qualifying this weekend, Marcus made all the right calls on race day to take ninth.Rating out of ten: 7 Brendon Hartley doubled his points tally for the season with a 10th place finish here, and after the shunts he has had recently, both psychologically and on the track, he probably deserved this. After staying out on slicks, Hartley did all he could to hold off Grosjean following the Safety Car but understandably couldn't keep the faster Haas at bay. But he still secured his first point in seven races, and Toro Rosso's first since Monaco.Rating out of ten: 7.5 How did Kevin Magnussen finish this race without even a single point? The Dane looked certain to finish best of the rest, but he just could not get to grips with the wet weather.Magnussen qualified in fifth and kept that position in the race until Hamilton's charge, but he was still sixth and three seconds ahead of Hulkenberg before the rain fell. However, he quickly dropped back once it did - seemingly for no obvious reason.Magnussen was easily passed by the Renault, on older tyres, and Haas team-mate Grosjean, and then gambled onto the intermediates. That certainly didn't pay off. He correctly finished on the ultrasofts but by that point had lost too much time for a top-10 finish.Rating out of ten: 7 Considering his team-mate's performance, this was an immensely disappointing afternoon for Carlos Sainz. The Spaniard was impressive in qualifying, lapping just a tenth slower than Hulkenberg despite not using Renault's new front wing, and he was then in the points for much of the race.Sainz was then unlucky in the fact he switched to intermediates the lap before Vettel's crash, but still would have secured points if it wasn't for a costly mistake behind the Safety Car, illegally overtaking Grosjean. He was handed a 10-second time penalty, and his top-10 hopes were over after that.Rating out of ten: 6 A really odd grand prix for Stoffel Vandoorne, and whether his car has a fundamental issue or not, he surely can't afford too many more weekends like this if he is going to convince McLaren to retain him.The Belgian was plum last in qualifying some eight tenths off the pace of his team-mate. That gap was because of a downforce problem on his MCL33, according to his team - but a 11-0 Saturday deficit to Fernando Alonso over the season still can't really be justified. The race didn't go much better. It was an awful start as both Pierre Gasly and Ricciardo overtook him off the line, and you'd be forgiven for thinking Vandoorne's race ended after that - he was in the pits to retire the car on Lap 35. He returned after a setup change, but his only real positive to take away from the weekend was that he made his way up to 13th by staying on the slicks during the rain.Rating out of ten: 4 You win some, you lose some. If the monsoon which hit Hockenheim immediately after the race had turned up 20 minutes earlier, Pierre Gasly's foray onto wet tyres would have proved inspired. Unfortunately for Toro Rosso's Frenchman, it didn't. The end result was an undistinguished 14th at the chequered flag.Rating out of ten: 6 Charles Leclerc was due an off-par performance and he got that on Sunday, losing position after switching to intermediate tyres when the rain fell and then twice losing control of his Sauber. But his performance before that should still be commended. He made Q3 for the third time in four races - out-qualifying team-mate Ericsson by seven tenths in the process - and kept his position in the midfield before the heavens opened. The next part of his race is something he can learn from - and he still showcased his skills to avoid the barriers on his first spin with a miraculous 360.Rating out of ten: 6.5 Although a duff call was ultimately his undoing, Fernando Alonso appeared to be in unusually muted mood during the German GP, his trademark combative style seemingly conspicuous by its absence. Still, he may have finished in the points if only he hadn't joined the list of gamblers who opted for intermediates when the rain briefly fell. It was the wrong call and a points-paying position was lost as a result. He said afterwards: "The bet today was the wrong one. At the end of the race, the team told me to retire the car, as they probably saw something on the data." Probably?Rating out of ten: 6 Half a second off his team-mate in qualifying, and nowhere in the race before his brakes failed. This was a weekend to forget for Lance Stroll. Points probably weren't going to be on the cards regardless of his performance or luck, given the Williams package, but he surely has to perform better than this next to his rookie team-mate if he's going to earn a switch to Force India for next year.Rating out of ten: 5 1:11 Sebastian Vettel goes into the barriers, crashing out of the German GP while leading. Sebastian Vettel goes into the barriers, crashing out of the German GP while leading. It was all going perfectly for Sebastian Vettel. Storming to pole while his title rival qualified 14th, then stretching his lead in the race in front of his home fans - the German looked certain to take a hefty championship advantage to the next race in Budapest. But this is F1 - and a split-second can change everything. Was Vettel pushing too hard? The lock-up into the Sachs curve was the costliest of costly mistakes for Vettel - he may blame the rain but he was unopposed and surely didn't have to be pushing that hard- and so significant was the error that Nico Rosberg described it as one of the "darkest moments of his career".It's also a major psychological blow for the four-time world champion, who doesn't always bounce back quickly from these. Now 17 points in the title race, can he recover?Rating out of ten: 6 A decent weekend's work for Sergey Sirotkin. He qualified in 12th and now leads Stroll 7-4 for the season on a Saturday, and was running well ahead of his team-mate in the race. When the Safety Car was deployed, the Russian even felt he had an outside chance of points - but unfortunately had to stop his car on his first out lap after an engine oil leak.Rating out of ten: 7"Roll with the punches. Even if they're coming from Tyson." Daniel Ricciardo's tweet on Sunday night said it all. Through little fault of his own, the Australian's admittedly slim title aspirations are evaporating - this was his second reliability DNF in three races.Ricciardo was already on the back foot coming into the race due to engine penalties and though his progress through the field wasn't quite as fast as Hamilton, it was impressive nonetheless considering he wasn't happy at all on the medium tyre. He would have been relishing some more fun in the rain before his engine failed, which will be a particular worry to Red Bull given this was a new Renault power unit. Surely he won't have to take more penalties in Budapest?Rating out of ten: N/ASky Sports F1 is the only place to watch every Formula 1 Grand Prix, qualifying and practice session live in 2018.
