Sands of Time Review:
After several years (charot!), I think 1 year of not reading some filipino wattpad novels and my interest went to reading mangas. I decided to go back reading Jonaxx stories.
I am not a big fan of Jonaxx's stories since the way the female lead were written there gets on my nerves but as I grew, I understand that it's just a natural feeling of women to overthink, be immature with decisions and I guess I'll start to be forgiving in that area.
So, I went ahead and read this because the synopsis piqued my interest. A female lead who is treated as a pagan goddess? well, sign me up! and I'm always a big fan of softy female leads, I'm always interested with the quiet, mahinhin, or the always every forgiving and the overly nice female leads because I'm always interested in how they will encounter struggles despite they are the biggest softies.
From the start, Soleil showed so much maturity, compassion and understanding of her situation despite how people treats her. She's always ever forgiving, understanding and curios to the world that I find it cute.
Meanwhile, Raj is our male lead, although I'm very icky with the age gap but I will just ignore for the sake of me enjoying the story. Raj, despite my expectations that he'll be possessive--well, he was possessive in his way. He never stopped Soleil from exploring, never made her feel bad for being curios and making friends with even boys despite his jealousy.
The story is really angsty and I love this kind of angst. There's always something about where circumstances or differences is the main problem of the story and I think we, as romance lovers, should make more stories that focus on those kind of stories. Well, for the filipino romance scene that is.
Anyways, all in all this is the first story I was really invested with the Costa Leona series of Jonaxx and I'll definitely try the other ones when I'm ready for the impending angst.
