SAP Innomarathon New York 2018

Last week we hosted the final of SAP Innomarathon in New York City. This program is our social innovation challenge, where a special jury, from United Nations and SAP evaluated the 9 finalists. The first phase happened in August, this challenge aims to create a business with social responsibility. From Wednesday 24th to Friday 26th, the startups worked in New York City to improve and test their solutions.

There are three startups ready to put technology in place to make the world a better place! SAP will now foster their development with financial support and business mentoring in 2019.

The winners are:

1st Ecolones (Costa Rica) – an Online platform that gives discounts for the people who discard correctly the garbage in the collection points. 2nd ManejeBem (Brazil) – ManejeBem is a social network for farmers. A simple solution that uses technologies available in the cell phone to add value to the production of family agriculture and promote sustainable development. 3rd Talov (Ecuador) – Inclusive Communication System for people with hearing disabilities.
