I loathe the human species 💔🆘🙏🏻 Posted @withrepost • @newyorkbullycrew JUST SAVED🚨TICK INFESTED‼️ Swipe⬅️ PLEASE DONATE🙏 Today on the holy holiday of  the Epiphany, commonly known as Three Kings' Day, we were asked if we could help an abandoned female pitbull that is infested with ticks.  Sadly she was dumped in front of the Humacao animal shelter which is an active kill shelter.  Luckily for her, now named Jezebel, the shelter is closed because of the holiday observation.  She would surely have been euthanized if it was a regular work day.  Jezebel has ticks feeding and embedded in all parts of her body.  There are 100s of parasites sucking her blood and probably infecting her with any one or more tick borne diseases such as erhlichia.  Our dear colleague in rescue, Ivelisse, made sure that Jezebel was rescued off the street in front of the kill shelter and along with her, two other sad dogs were saved and 2 orphaned babies.  They were all living among trash and refuse, trying to find food and shelter.  Please, we beg for your support to help this unlikely bunch of desperate dogs just wanting to be loved and safe.  And although it is a holiday, our veterinary colleague said yes to opening the hospital so that they could all be accepted and begin treatment.  Please donate to Jezebel's emergency medical treatment and care. Pitbulls aren't evil. Idiot humans who can't understand dog behavior/breeds or train properly are the problem. Pitbulls just need discipline, love, and attention just like any other dog breed. So next time you're at the rescue shelter, don't bypass a Pitbull because of its breed. As the saying goes, 'Don't Judge a Book By Its Cover.' Don't judge a dog breed, based off of how the media slanders them.

But that is not uncommon when a dogs body is this severely malnourished. Your prayers are keeping her strong! Keep them coming! 🙏💪 Saint Chiara is fighting to survive which gives us hope that she has the will to live but she is still in guarded condition. We are waiting for lab results to learn if this is from neglect or if there are underlying medical issues that have not been addressed. Either way, St Chiara will only know that there is an army of people that love her from this day forward. She arrived to the emergency hospital and she is in extremely poor condition. She’s cachetic- wasting away, weak and severely lethargic. This poor female is battered and broken! She is severely emaciated, old and new wounds all over her body, she can barely hold her head up and spiritually defeated. We have named her Saint Chiara. May all the saints and angels watch over her and give her the strength needed to survive🙏 Please consider contributing to her emergency medical care.
