seeing characters be stripped of their personality so they can be shipped with another character in the "dynamic" or whatever the person who's using them wants makes me so angry like you guys have no idea like why ?? Just find a different character that fits that criteria actually ?? At this point it's not the same character anymore ??? Do you even actually like that character if they have to be shaped the way you want them to ??

And same with the friend/canon partner or love interest of the character being villainized for no reason because they need a bad guy for the "alpha strong" person of the relationship to protect the other from like omg guys

Characters being villainized just because they're "ugly" or a girl even when theyre only a foil to the ACTUAL VILLIAN that killed thousands of people and regrets like nothing

Ignoring female characters that are complex and interesting for a random male side character

I hate it when they destroy Levi's character for the sake of shipping him with somebody and romanticize every decision he makes like NO HE HAS A MIND OF HIS OWN.

What pisses me off the most is when people romanticize the promise he made to Erwin. People have to understand that Levi carried the weight of a hundred dead soldiers. Imagine the guilt that comes with that. Levi HATED unnecessary deaths. In one of the episodes/chapters he literally ordered his soldiers to stay alive. By fulfilling the promise he avenged all the fallen Scouts that died at the hands of the Beast Titan. Which is why he sees THE ENTIRE SCOUT REGIMENT in the last episode because he owed it to all of them INCLUDING Erwin and Hange.

He's also one of the most emotional characters in AOT and his character has a lot of depth and placing it entirely under romantic influences is actually disrespectful to the effort put into writing the manga.

I personally don't mind the ships. I like Levihan as a ship but to a certain extent and completely based on their interactions in the show/manga. But you know it's a problem when it starts interfering with the actual plot of the show and is an insult to the amount of work put into creating the masterpiece.

And before anyone says he's "just a character", shut up. I'm saying this as an aspiring writer who would hate it if someone completely missed the point of my story and because it really sucks when someone destroys your comfort character, a well written one at that.

(btw this isn't about headcanons, those are cool)

PS: I'm also saying this because I've seen the amount of anon hate towards certain bloggers for merely expressing their views, all because they(anon) want to enforce their ship or are too dumb to differentiate b/w headcanons and canon content.
